I walked in and the temp in the restaurant was 81! Ridiculously warm when it's in the 60's outside. Due to the temp in the building my sandwich was warm and hopefully it's what affected the taste because something was off..  I will be avoiding this Jimmy John's like the plague which is hard for me to do since it's my favorite sandwich chain

This JJ ruined my leap day. (kiddingly overly dramatic)

1.The music is very loud, as other reviewers have said. I couldn't have a conversation with my friend without raising my voice.

    2. I ordered the beach club. they ran out of sprouts and didn't say a word! The sprouts are important to that sandwich! I would've changed my order to the roast beef had I had known. I discovered this a few bites in, and went back to get sprouts and they said they ran out. boo!

    3. The sandwich also comes with their avocado spread. There was hardly any on the sandwich and I couldn't taste it, and their unique taste of the spread is also important to the sandwich.

Previously when I was there, I asked for easy mayo and they put extra mayo. It was a gross and gloppy mess of white lard.

They suck. I will never go to that JJ again and will walk the extra block for the one on Jackson.

We moved offices a few months ago and just today tried this location on Clinton as it is most convenient to the new digs.  This is the worst location that I have ever been to.  Generally speaking I have experienced little or no problems at any location except during high volume times (around noon).  The place was essentially dead (me and 2 other cutomers).  The music was incredibly loud which made for a bad experience to the gentleman in front of me.  He ordered 2 sanwiches exactly the same which included peppers but held the tomato.  He received only 1 sandwich and it came with tomato but did not include peppers.  The gal behind the register noted that it is $0.58 for peppers and that he did not order it that way.  She was so rude about it and rolled her eyes to the next customer.  Who does that?  What a snot!
It took almost 10 minutes (10 uncomfortable minutes) for my sandwich which by their standards is a long time even in the rush periods.
My sanchwich also has less tuna than normal and they use standard tomatoes rather than their usual Roma tomatoes.  Disappointing.

Convenient location, good sandwiches. They play the music super loud , though, so I opt to eat my food elsewhere.

5 stars for slapping my sandwich together in lightning speed when I only have 20 minutes between classes to get and wolf down a sandwich
1 star for having only 1 cheese choice

I don't like provolone cheese, there I've said it. It's biggest offense is that it tastes like nothing. It's a total waste of fat and calories to me.  Adding it to a sandwich increases the fat content by 10 grams (pause for a gasp in horror). Sadly, this boring, bland, fat cheese is the only variety JJ's carries. Since the line at Subway is always ridiculously long I'm forced to go to this inferior alternative with some frequency.  JJ's has plenty of meat and condiment options - so why so stingy with the cheese choices?

My other 2 complaints are as follows:
    (1) What's the deal with the bags and napkins? I'm all for saving the environment, but do you expect your customers to wipe their mouths with the back of their hand? The bags and napkins are hidden in the prep area, you feel like you'll get scolded grabbing them, kind of like snaking a cookie from the cookie jar.
    (2) Not healthy, JJ's is not only inferior, but unhealthy. As a vegetarian who eats fish (I know technically not a vegetarian) my choices are limited. Today I opted for the tuna (my other dining choice the cheese sub, chock full of my favorite cheese), stupidly I always add a slice of provolone to it, desperately hoping this time it will add some iota of flavor to my sub (so far zippo). When I googled the nutritional content it was 29 grams of fat!! (for tuna, lettuce, tomato, provolone and bread) To me that's insane, what do they mix the tuna with lard?

In JJ's defense I will say the following: the store always looks clean and I've gotten prompt, pleasant service.

Bottom line: I'm better off with a plate of fries or a candy bar for lunch - more taste, less fat (I think)

It's your standard Jimmy John's, which I like as a break from my normal Potbelly.  But they charge you an extra $1 for wheat bread and I think that's totally nuts.  What are they going to start charging me more the more healthy I make my sandwich - an extra $2 for no meat, $0.50 to remove the mayo... sandwich is free if they squeeze 3 donuts on top?
