Had to go get doughnuts on National Doughnut Day monday.  Krsipy Kreme chocolate  custard filled are awesome.  You can go there any time of day and get the freshest doughnuts there are but, if you can catch them making them in the back room it;s a real treat.  They even have a step for the little ones to get up and watch.  It's fascinating to see.
Review Source:It doesn't compare to anything else. Â Yes you can compare donuts to donuts, but not KK's to donuts. Â There really is no other type of thing like these. Â Go get'em now, fresh and hot. Â Let 3 melt in your soul and take some home. Â
This particular location holds a special place in my heart as it is one of the old classics and my first and original KK hang out from back in the 80's.
As much as I LOVE Krispy Kreme, this particular store has always failed to fill my order right. The doughnuts I have had from this store were the worst doughnuts I have ever recieved from any Krispy Kreme. That includes the week old Krispy Kreme's that can be found in your local gas station or grocery store.
Review Source:Again, I hate to be reviewing a chain, but Krispy Kreme is something special. I didn't realize until recently that not everyone knows you can go inside and watch the donuts being made.
TIP: If you ever have kids in tow, this is a great (and cheap) way to keep them entertained for quite a while.
TIP #2: this location is near a high school and gets very busy on week days when school lets out.
My favorite: 1 original glazed + 1 chocolate glazed + 1 coffee. mmmmm.
OMG, I cannot believe I am the very first person to review Krispy Kreme! Â Well, my brother lives across the street and whenever I am in town, I come over, and believe me, I get a donut. Â Actually, when I went to Louisville this weekend, the Kreme was my first stop after the airport. Â Now, they have mini donuts!!!!!! Â There are only a few kinds though- glazed, chocolate iced, and iced with sprinkles, but they are just as delicious as the big donuts. Â This visit, I had two minis, but my other favorites are the honey bun donut and the apple-filled spice donut. YUM! Â And they are so much better than the ubiquitous Dunkin Donuts in my area. Â There are at least eight in Marlborough alone and they are horrible. Â
I don't even like their coffee, but then again, I don't really like coffee. Â The donuts from Krispy Kreme simply melt in your mouth; they are warm, moist, and are a beautiful gift to all of humanity. Â Dunkin Donuts are stale, taste very manufactured, and just kind of suck. Â
Here's a "hot" tip-- sometimes, if you see a "hot donuts" sign lit up outside, someone might be passing out free donuts to you on your way in! Â You'd be lucky to get a free munchkin at the Dunka Dunk in Mass.
