Leona's is bar none the best delivery joint in Chicago, I guess that's why they have been in bidness since 1950. I order from them on grub hub and my food and drink arrives in a half hour or less delivered by courteous drivers that go above and beyond. Food is always piping hot and beer is always frigid. Prices are fair and they give you a cupcake that is divine.

Went here with a buddy when we couldn't get into DMK. The calimara was just OK. But the pizza was pretty good. We ordered the Italian meat option. Waitress said it takes a bit longer but the wine kept us company.

Not the best pizza but certainly not the worst either.

Good option when other places are full. I will return.

Be careful Gluten-Free Patrons! Not sure what's happened but I pretty regularly was buying the gluten free pizza's off seamless web. I very rarely give bad reviews, I'd rather not say anything but I have celiac, I know what gluten free crust tastes like and had two bad incidents (yes, I'm the idiot that gave them the benefit of the doubt and ordered again, it was good- what can I say?). I brought it to their attention by sending an email online through their website. When it bounced back, this email address was on it: districtmanagers@leonas.… so I emailed from my personal email, this was my letter:

"2 weeks in a row, last week and this week, I ordered a gluten free pizza on seamless web and both times, I did NOT get a gluten free pizza?!? I've got a SEVERE gluten allergy and have been ordering from you for a long time and have never had this problem. Last time I had the time to call and get a new pizza delivered, this time I didn't and now I have to leave for an event and will probably be very sick within the next hour because I ended up taking a few bites before I realized it wasn't gluten free. There's a distinct difference in the crust and had I not had soo many from you, I may not have known but I didn't think you'd make such a stupid mistake twice in a row. I'd like a refund on my order, order #328806651. Unfortunately, you've lost me as a customer. I'm not looking forward to being as sick as I was last week from your staff!!! Don't have it on the menu if you can't get it right- people's health depend on it!"

Shocker, NEVER GOT A RESPONSE?! I know it wasn't as nice as it could have been but...still. Lost a customer. If they read this now, I'm still wondering where that refund is.Pretty disappointed- took me a long time to feel normal after those allergic reactions ;(

The location of this Leona's is great. It's right next to the Belmont stop on the Red, Brown and Purple lines. That is the only thing that is great about this location.

Leona's has a ton of food to choose from so anyone can find something they like here. I chose to get something Italian after all this is an Italian restaurant. I got the ravioli. I've watched enough episodes of Mario Batali to know that you are supposed to cook the pasta for one minute less than the package and finish it on the stove top so it's perfect. The ravioli had more of a bite to it then al denti. It was better when I heated the leftovers up the next day.

The service was good. There are so many restaurants close by that I will try one of the others in the area next time.

I love this place. I haven't been to other Leona's (yet), but this one has a very Chicago-y (?!) vintage/cool vibe. They have huge TVs playing very varied music videos- not too loud, it does add to (rather than subtracting from) the ambiance. Leona's has classic American-Italian food (as opposed to actual Italian- primo, secondi etc). Their romano-crusted chicken is awesome; you can get either a full entree or in sandwich form- either is really great. I've tried several varieties, you can't go wrong. Also the Lasagna is really awesome, the best I've had in Lakeview (even at the pricier places). The bread loaf with garlic butter they bring you is awesome- I'd order it if it wasn't complementary. Oddly, I've never tried their pizza- I'm still trying to explore the rest of their truly GIGANTIC menu. Pasta, sandwiches and wraps (many), pizza, chicken, burgers. The salads have really fresh ingredients (it shows), and are nicely presented; you kind of have to rearrange them on the plate before you start eating them. Most entrees come with either one or two sides (depends on the size of the entree). For the kids- many kinds of pasta (mac and cheese) to choose from, or get a personal pizza. Also, the portions are HUGE- you'll probably be taking home leftovers. The mini sliders are also good (maybe not great) if you're in a non-Italian mood. I always love the little Lena cake that comes with most entrees, it's a perfect alternative to a full dessert. A little bit of sweetness, perfect for the last bite you can manage. The value here is good, especially compared to most Lakeview Italian places. The servers are always attentive, I've never been neglected. Also, no matter who serves you they are always very similar in attending to you- must be good training/management. Leona's is Italian-American comfort food, in an atmosphere that is relaxing and de-stressing. I should probably come here more often.

I've dined at Leonas twice while visiting Chicago on seperate occasions, both time the service was good and the food was great. The Mac&Cheese is huge, and enough for two. Overall with good food and reasonable prices I dont think you can go wrong.

Leona's is one of my BF and I's go-to's for deliveries ... but mostly because the BF loves it and I think it is okay. The wide variety of items on the menu also makes it an easy choice.

I have gotten a variety of things on the menu including the mini cheeseburgers, bruschetta, pizza, and the pick two petite chicken sandwiches. My favorite thing is probably the mini cheeseburgers - particularly the balsamic one which I wish they had on the menu as a full size - and my least favorite is definitely the pizza. My BF has always gotten the Cobb chicken sandwich and fried chicken sliders.

Overall the portions are huge, come with a large side, and a Lena cake. The BF always goes for the mac and cheese as a side which I do agree is one of the best. I am a salad lover, but the psychedelic salad side is a little bit sad and hard to eat. It has scared me away from their salads portion of the menu.

Delivery is always fairly quick and is a $3 charge. We will likely continue to get Leona's every once in a while because of the wide selection, but it is not a restaurant I would choose to repeat frequently if I was choosing for just myself.

Whether I eat there or order in, I love their food. The atmosphere is great when dining in. Music not too loud for meaningful conversation. It is my "go-to" place when I'm with friends and we haven't a clue where to go for dinner. There's something for everyone. I love the pineapple bacon pizza. Perfect crust. And their chopped salad is one of my favorite appetizers. Enough to share with 4 people.

Delivery- ordered cheddar burger, chicken cobb salad w/ peppercorn ranch, mozzarella sticks, fries. Food arrived about 30min and very warm. My salad was large w/ a lot of chicken, dressing very good. Burger was hot and my picky boyfriend was pleasantly surprised. Cheese sticks large were warm. Bacon ranch fries were good.
Prices were reasonble. We were very happy with everything and will be repeat customers. Also know others who have ordered food with delivery service and have been satisfied as well.

Nothing but good things to say about this restaurant.
I come here almost every 2 weeks with my best friend for a get together lunch.
There's always plenty of space and the waiter knows us by name.
My fave part about dining at Leona's has got to be the muscial selection and music videos.
I love it here!

Revised...I apologize it took me this long.

After my poor review, I was contacted by PR for Leona's. she apologized for my experience and sent me a gift card. I brought a friend and went out to dinner a few weeks later there. Experience was food. Waitress was nice. Service was quick. Thank you, I appreciate it.

Well, I just ordered food from them today for lunch. The guy who delivered was nice and was earlier than they said they would be here. However, I ordered the avocado burger and the avocados were brown. Worst of all, there was a grey hair fried into and sticking out on my wedge fry...that's NEVER acceptable. I barely ate any of it and just tossed it. Gross.

Their crust needs a lot of work! They skimp on sauce, cheese, and ingredients. Not a fan.

Leona's is basically Olive Garden with more ambiance and a family-owned pedigree. It's also a stroller parking lot on weekend nights. Families love this place, and the noise level and wait times reflects this. The food is hearty Italian, which is just what we were looking for the night before the Chicago marathon. The runner, aka Rick, ate a giant portion of lasagna and garlic bread. He seemed happy with the food but not raving about it. I had an individual thin crust pizza with sun-dried tomatoes and artichokes. The crust was good but overall I wasn't loving it. The sauce needs work and the toppings didn't taste super-fresh. I did love my $5.50 glass of house Merlot, thankyouverymuch. We had trouble flagging down our server a few times and she messed up the bill the first time around. I like that it's close to my apartment and has giant helpings of carbs and cheese for those not-so-fresh hangover mornings, but otherwise, I don't know that I'll be paying Leona's another visit. Somehow, I think they'll be okay without me.

Had a great dinner here. The lasagna was delicious. The server recommended blending pesto & Alfredo. This too was delicious. The service was the best I have had in Chicago all week. If I lived in Chicago I would be going back again and again.

Food is just below Olive Garden grade and I must say the online ordering is the most retarded ass thing Ive ever seen from a restaurant. You know that you cant just simply order spaghetti and meatballs?
Instead I could order the "PLENTY 5 CHEESE LAS" or maybe consider the "PET CHIX PARM n BACON" -- No descriptions either online.... Full disclosure: Im in IT so maybe a little less than impartial here but wow.... What IDIOT designed their ordering system???

Simplify the menu and make the ordering process less, I dunno..... stupid.

Oh and better food might help.

Like I said - just below Olive Garden

I know this place has a lot of bad reviews, but my experiences have been great! Now, I have only ordered delivery and have never been inside. That being said, it is fabulous for delivery.

I have only gotten 2 things. A burger, which was juicy, hot, and VERY tasty. It was also humungous and served as 2 meals. The roll it was on was good as were the fries and mini cake that you get with every meal.

The second item. that I have ordered probably 5-6 times, is the chicken cob sandwich. i always get the "plenty" and eat it for 2 meals. 2 BIG meals. I always get the potato wedges (which I usually am not a big fan of) and it is consistently good. Hot, juicy and VERY flavorful. My husband always gets the buffalo sandwich, witch he really enjoys. He is 6'4", so he gets a plenty and finishes the whole thing. I'm a foot shorter and couldn't' dream of finishing a "plenty" sandwich.

Anyways, order it for delivery. It is very good. Oh and with tip (20%)and delivery charge my two-meal sandwich costs $17, which is not that bad in this area :)

We went here after enduring a big traffic jam on the way to The Vic and so our time was shorter than we had hoped so we asked if it was possible to get in and out in an hour. The hostess said no problem and said she'd let our server know and they'd do their best.

Our server Moni was great- she took good care of us and really did get us out quickly- in 45 minutes!

We were seated in a booth right next to the kitchen and that felt super distracting with the door swinging open every few minutes and people coming and going and sometimes walking into each other.

We saw that other people had bread, so asked if we could have some, and our server seemed surprised and thought she had given us some. It was tasty and the garlic butter was delicious and unique.

My husband loved his chicken noodle soup- it was chunky, hearty and looked homemade.

We got the Big Fried Chicken Tenders fingers for an appetizer- delicious! The breading was much better than on most chicken fingers- we'd go for these again. My husband loved the Boom Boom sauce (thousand island/chipotle mix).

I appreciate that they have "petite" and regular sizes for their salads. I got the petite chopped salad and it looked cool when it came out- great presentation here. It tasted pretty good but I probably wouldn't get it again. My husband got the Mini Cheeseburgers (they are on pretzel buns- yay) and his favorite was the Mushroom, Mozzarella and Balsamic one, and he liked the pepperjack, avocado and BBQ sauce one but for some reason strongly disliked the bacon, cheddar and thousand one. His meal came with a Lenacake which is a brownie with a cheesecake layer on top- he said it was amazing!

If we had more time we would have enjoyed looking at the menu more and I would have tried dessert- they have some cool sounding stuff.

We appreciated how hard Moni worked and thought the hostess was kind and helpful too. The women's bathroom was super dirty and messy- that surprised me a lot- yuck.

We liked the music and the music videos that went along with it on the big screens; not sure if they have that all the time or not, but it was cool.

They have outdoor seating. It is a great restaurant and if we lived closer we would definitely be regulars.

Went for a quick lunch and food was good.
The staff was, well, there was just one waiter. Which was fine since there were not many people in the restaurant. However, people walked into the restaurant, waited for more than 5 minutes for someone to seat them, and then just turned around and walked out.
I ordered mini pretzels burgers - they were great! French fries were great - AND the little chocolate cake for dessert was wonderful.
The bread sticks were ordered for an appetizer were the star!!! The sauce was just perfect! Next time I will try the actual Italian.

I thought this place was pretty good! We came here before a show - there was 5 of us. The bread and garlic butter...to die for. The food was good as well. We had the half cobb salads and they were delish. One friend had a pizza as did many of the people sitting around us, and the other got a wrap. EVeryone reallly liked what they had ordered.

Our server was nice, she seemed a bit overwhelmed...maybe they were short on staff, but she was fine overall. One of the guys with us got some sort of mini cheesecake muffin with his meal for free, but no one else did...we were all jealous and felt like they should ive one to each person....he didn't share his. lol

This place is pretty simple looking inside so don't expect any fancy ambiance here. It's bigger than I thought it would be, bathrooms clean...and unisex. The location is convenient, and we left satisfied. I'll be back for sure.

My first experience of Leona's wasn't the best. There were problems with the order getting delivered. BUT, when management learned of the problem, they were quick to admit their mistake. And honestly, that's the best indicator of great service.

We just finished our meal, and it was DELICIOUS! The meatball lasagna was everyone's favorite. The serving size was generous and the salad was tasty. Be sure to get the bread sticks too.

Our family is full and happy. THANKS Leona's! I'm sure we'll be ordering in or stopping by again soon!

Ordered a pizza for takeout from Leona's a time or 2 and was reasonably satisfied. Crispy thin crust and their pizza sauce is actually pretty above average, IMHO. Dining in at Leona's, however, definitely took my opinion of this place down to a 2 star max. Service was spotty at best - our server did not speak English well, which was frustrating. Seems pretty ridiculous at this type of restaurant. My shrimp scampi was tasty with a good balance of garlic and seasoning, but overcooked. The pesto pasta I chose as my side was the weirdest, grossest pesto I've ever had... needless to say, I only had ~2 bites of it. It was literally sort of a basil paste.... but bland. Not good. Their classic lasagna is pretty good; my bf enjoyed it as his entree (and has ordered it a bunch of times). It's nice that they offer the lasagna in a "small" and "large" portion.

I'd pickup a pizza from Leona's again, but will definitely avoid it for dine-in entrees. It's just got that good. Go down the street to La Gondola; you will thank me for that suggestion later!

I get teased a lot because of my obsession with this place. I know for a girl living in the city to have a slight addiction to a chain restaurant is not normal at all. However, I just cannot help myself when it comes to Leona's.

Everything is so yummy! I am addicted to the romano chicken sandwiches. The buffalo and bbq are probably my favorite but I love them all. I also love the variety of sides you get with your meal and how all around tasty everything is.

I'd definitely recommend Leona's if you are looking for some good old fashioned comfort food and a diverse menu Leona's is your place. It also has take out and delivery which is a plus.

I have been going to Leona's, since I was a teen (many, many moons ago) and remember how I could not wait to get back here.

Flash forward a couple decades...not the same. The salads are ok, but nothing to write home about. And the pizza...very greasy and not too tasty. There was nothing that smacked me in the face and made me say, "Wow!" Did the establishment change the recipes or am I holding onto an awesome time when I was younger and more innocent??!?

All I know: As an adult, I would much rather be at several different Italian restaurants and pizzerias Chi-town has to offer.

+ Have been a loyal Leona's customer for quite a while, but only recently have I decided to let the world know how much I enjoy this place.
+ Crazy good pizza. Surprisingly so.
+ Gigantic portions.
+ Solid italian classics. I've never had a complaint about the food itself.
+ Oh! AMAZING chicken fingers...this is a very recent discovery. They are huge, juicy, and that breading (with a few sesame seeds sprinkled throughout? Get outta here.) is out of this world. The dinner comes with with choice of two sauces and two sides...ugh, stop it. I've mentioned in other reviews that menu/customization options are one of the many ways to woo me... be still, my beating heart.
+ These little chickie fingers are also delicious as leftovers. Cold, right out of the box, midnight snack style. Yum.
+ Friendly service, always.

I haven't yet been *to* the Lakeview location, but have ordered delivery quite a few times. My only gripe is that the fried foods are delivered in containers with zero ventilation. As a diehard fried food enthusiast, this is kind of heartbreaking. I'm not far from the location at all, but my onion rings, calamari, and whatever other horrible things I love have always arrived soggy. All ya'll gotta do is poke a few holes in the box and we're good! Otherwise the condensation crushes dreams.

I'll get over it. I mean, I'm already salivating at the thought of more chicken fingers.

I went there with a Groupon. The food was heavy and portions were huge. I got some good leftovers for the next day.

I ordered one of the entrees which came with two sides and a slice of Lenacake. I had the chicken noodle soup which was just nasty. The accompanying pasta was good as was the chicken breast.

I never got the accompany lenacake. The waitress insisted that the meal did not come with it, even if the menu indicates otherwise. She also had an attitude when we paid with a groupon which is a big no no for me.

Ironic this chain is named after an Italian older lady since the menu and atmosphere suit American and unrefined preferences.

Fact: From when I was age 0 to 13 it was my favorite restaurant. This location too.

So for nostagia purposes and convenience the prospect pleased. It's right by numerous popular venues and public transportation and the size and untrendiness underwrite no wait times for walk-ins, ever.

It was a nice evening so we elected to dine al fresco. It was nice and pleasant people watching. The menu is large and nothing seemed particularly authentic. We ordered:

A glass of Pinot Grigio
My companion seemed satisfied

A tropical Coconut Pineapple drink
Very Rich

A 9 inch thin crust Pizza with pepperoni and garlic
Satisfactory. A bit salty. Not too greasy.

A burger with pepperjack cheese, grilled onions, BBQ sauce cooked medium rare on a brioche bun.
It was cooked accordingly and a healthy portion and size. There were plenty of onions, but skimpy on the BBQ sauce. Looking at the bun it was maybe a tiny portion of white BBQ sauce or something. An okay burger.
For the side- Mac and Cheese
They served the four cheese lasagna side. This is a thick mac and cheese casserole of sorts made with wide noodles. Rich and substantial.

Overall, decent. If you're looking for an authentic or mind blowing Italian restaurant, this isn't it. If you want a convenient place to dine with no fuss or something to appeal to American or kid's tastes and appetites then Leona's is your Mama Mia.

So I am torn on how to rate this. I'll start by saying if you are really hungry after a long day and they wine is flowing on an empty stomach you might not want to order online without calling to follow up...

So I get home after a long day at work and immediately jump online to order some food from my girlfriend and I as I have no desire to cook. I immediately open a bottle of wine to calm the nerves thinking the food is less then an hour away. after an hour an a half and the food hasn't arrived, I decide it's time to play detective and figure out where my food is. So I call the Lakeview location (the location that the website says the order was sent to). They say that the Wicker Park location should have the order as they deliver to us, so I call the Wicker Park location. They have no idea what I am talking about and have no order.

I call back the Lakeview location and they have no order. Thankfully Jose couldn't have been more accomodating. He offered to send the order for free. Good news is I get free food. Bad news is that I have to wait 2 and a half hours for it... Again I am torn on how to rate this...

Mac 'n' cheese lasagna sounded like a swell hangover cure, but it is not.

A big pile of cheese topped with more cheese... believe me, I love the stuff, but this was just too much of the same flavor. Squared!

Also, we had some problems with online ordering for delivery and they didn't call the correct number. We finally received our food 2.5 hours later, but sans our 2-liter of Pepsi. Yet another phone call, another wait and another trip for the delivery guy! Sigh.

All this for $44? Disappointing.

I order from Leona's once every couple of months. Their food isnt' the greatest, but they have no delivery fee, which is a plus.

Their pizza is mediocre. The thin crust is way too thin. I think an entire small thin crust pizza at Leona's is equivalent to a few squares of thin crust anywhere else. So the guilt really settles in when you eat half of the pizza and you're still hungry.

The buffalo wings are huge but pricy, hitting the $8 mark. It used to be less expensive, but I'm going to blame the recession for this one.

Lately I had the Romano Buffalo Chicken Sandwich. It was good, but from the first bite I knew what I was doing was a sin. It was two (count them) breaded chicken breasts slathered in buffalo sauce and cheese on an italian bun. I should have ordered half a sandwich instead of the whole thing. I ate the whole thing and was full for at least four hours, but it was worth it. I'll just have to remember to eat lettuce and tree bark for the rest of the week to offset the experience. It came with a brownie cupcake, which didn't help matters. I think they're called "lencakes", and I scarfed it down, as well.

The tiramisu is probably one of the best features of the menu.

I'm so annoyed by my dinner here tonight that Leona's is literally jumping the precious Yelp queue line of 'need to be reviewed places' that I'm typically very particular about.

Food was less than mediocre. I eat better on airplanes. Regularly.

Service was completely mindless and slow. Disappointing.

Prefacing my order with an "I'm trying to eat really healthy tonight" was apparently some very confusing commentary for my server to digest. I ventured into what I thought was smart ordering and went for their baked garlic chicken (comes with 2 of their signature sides) and is billed on the menu as 'chicken, garlic and herbs'. That's it. What I didn't know (and must be in the invisible print) is that this supposedly 'light' chicken comes encrusted in bread crumbs, cheese and is actually pan sauteed in butter just like their famous romano chicken that I had shunned during ordering time (at her suggestion) based on it being breaded and covered in cheese. Um. Nice menu bait and switch. WTF?

When the plate arrived and my dismay was obvious she again made no overture or effort to right this fatty mismatch or make me and my waistline pleased. Ugh.

Other disappointments were being served lukewarm-at-best soup, a serious lack of zippy side choices (the only light option is plain, steamed broccoli), a general attitude of apathy and super slow, disappearing service. I'm over it. I knew based on past experiences with Leona's lackluster delivery that their food is mildly passing at best, but even their in-house attempt is prosaic.

The silver lining in all of this? I never make the same mistake twice.

So disgusted. We wrapped up my daughter's birthday with dinner at Leona's her special request. I had "broken up" with this chain years ago after lapses in service that left me embarassed before guests. But, her birthday, her choice.

The place was largely empty, but we were still seated directly beneath a speaker blasting loud rock. Our service was dismal. We waited a long time for refills, we didn't get our bread service. The runner who brought our app was as cheery as a spaghetti western bad guy. My mac'n'cheese lasagna had been sitting under a warmer long enough for the cheese to acquire a skin. My burger had been sitting under it long enough for the bun to become soggy.

All in all, the food tastes fine and when our server remembered we were there, she was pleasant. However, this was a good reminder why you never go back to an old flame.

No qualms about it, this is comfort food at it's best. Have eaten in but this is typically our Italian go-to for delivery. Some faves:

- Cheeseburger Pizza: decadent splurge but naughty goodness
- Cob Sandwich
- anything involving the Roma crusted chicken
- psychedelic salad (all veggies are very fresh in all dishes)
- chicken nugget ala adult
- pastas
- veggie brushetta
- tirimisu
- pesto Salmon

Really, most stuff is good and they hook you up with a lot of food. Good value for what you pay.

Here's one thing that bothers me about Leona's...they don't offer free bread. You have to pay for bread...lol. Anyways, this location is always hit or miss. The last time we stopped by it was great. good service, good food, friendly faces. Tonight it wasn't all that great.

We arrived and the place was pretty slow for a Friday nite. We were seated immediately and they brought water to the table with menus. The waiter came back three times before we decided on what we wanted. I love the fettuccine Alfredo here so decided on that. I also ordered some bread which I was charged a couple of bucks for. Tsk tsk. So yea we ordered and waited patiently...and waited....and waited...and waited some more!!! I couldn't believe it took so long for our food when there was hardly anyone else there. It was almost over an hour!!!! Ugh!

Our food finally arrived and my fettuccine was a little on the chilled side which was annoying. It was still good. Their side salad however needs more veggies. There was ONE piece of cucumber in it. One thing that I did like about the evening was that they asked us to sample some lasagna that they are experimenting on and wanted our comments and opinions on it. It was pretty good.

Service was just too slow tonight!!! However the food was great and our waiter had a lot of patience with us when it was time to split the bill. Lol. Overall its a good place..not great just good.

Leona's is yet another restaurant on my delivery rotation that I've never visited so I base my review only on their delivery. Some people have expressed frustration with the delivery at this location, but I've always been amazed at the speed and accuracy. I've ordered their romano-crusted chicken sandwiches via phone many times. My orders have always arrived hot, fresh, and accurate to my door within a half hour. The romano-crusted chicken is delicious, and the sandwiches are so large that a half (comes with 1 side and a apple crisp desert) is more than enough to supress a decent appetite. The full sandwich is $10 (as opposed to the $8 half) so I generally purchase the larger choice to save for a future meal.

Last night was my first experience with both their online ordering and pasta. While on the phone with my new (blush) interest , my stomach began to rumble and I was faced with the choice of starving or prematurely ending the conversation. I avoided making the tough choice by ordering via http://grubhub.com and receiving a 55 minute delivery time.

25 minutes later, my doorbell rang and I was greeted with the largest single serving of fettuccine and tomato cream sauce that I'd ever seen. Upon opening my bag, I realized that it came with a serving of bread consistent to the size of my pasta. The 6 inch roll was the same roll that they use for sandwiches. The tomato cream sauce was interesting to me because unlike most others, it was more tomato than cream. I would say the mix was 3:1 tomato to cream which was a little disappointing because I was craving a more alfredo based sauce. Nonetheless it was still tasty, and I was able to save a hearty portion for this lunch this afternoon.

If I could give this place less than one star I would. Do not order late from this place. We did not get all of our order, and we were told when we called and asked about it that we were the last order of the day. Really? General manager did not help at all, and really he was an asshole. Roberto? Or Alberto. Whatever.

The food that we got... it wasn't even good. Five dollars for three onions rings. Skip this shit.

We ordered delivery from Leona's on a Saturday night. The order took an hour and a half to arrive. After waiting for 45 minutes, we called to find out where our food was. The manager said the food left five minutes ago. The food took a total of an hour and a half to arrive, and I only live seven blocks away! So it took the burnt out driver (yes, he was high) an extra 45 minutes to deliver seven blocks away. Wonder what took to so long....Of course the food was quite cold.

P.S. The salads here are way over-priced for what it buys you. Just go buy whole produce at Jewel, throw it in a container without washing it, and there you have it. Not kidding....whole celery sticks.

So, they gave us a five dollar credit on all the food we bought...which didn't even cover the delivery charge and tip.

I ended up warming leftovers for myself because the food was so unsatisfactory. Leona's is on my s*** list.

I debated on two or three stars and in the end decided on two stars.

Here's why...
1. Their delivery service is great. They are fast, friendly and the food is
delivered hot and fresh. Also you get a lot of food when you get
delivery and that's nice to.

2. Their side of fettucini alfredo is so yummy and to die for! So good!
Mmmm....

3. I had the MOST HORRIBLE DINE IN experience of my life at this
restaurant. My dining companion and I almost got dessert and
decided to skip it. Their dine in portions are huge. I've never seen
a meatball so big in my entire life! Wow! But the service was
horrible or waiter was so unattentive and out of it! He was rude
and a wee bit snobby as well. The kids in the restaurant about
killed me to. They were so loud I couldn't have a decent
conversation with my dinner companion who was sitting right
across to me.

4. I got a coupon from them in the mail so I tried to use it and when I
told them about it they said they didn't give out coupons like what I
was describing and also said they wouldn't honor it. Then hung
up. Maybe, just maybe, I would have ordered anyway but I guess
we will never know.

I will probably have delivery from here...the alfredo is too good not to...but I won't be dining in ever again!

Awesome. Although its a little "chain-y", it still manages to retain its homey, home-cooked Italian feel with the plaid tables and over sized wooden booths and tables. I went here with some friends who were prompted to visit by the recent mailer. We were a little skeptical as the mailer mentioned "delivery" all over the place, but we were pleasantly surprised.

We were undecided on the wine, so our server brought us tastings of the top two on our list. The bruschetta (plain tomato) was delicious! We all ordered pasta dishes, which come with a soup or salad, as well as bread. The salads and soup were nothing special ( I got the minestrone, which was different than any other minestrone I've ever had - and not in a good way). Among the three of us we ordered the lasagna and two make your own pastas (1. angel hair with marinara and sausage 2. angel hair with tomato cream and a meatball).

Everything was great - I would especially recommend the tomato cream sauce. Our waiter was very friendly and accommodating. We had a great time and a reasonable price. I have to disagree with other reviews stating the place was "pricey for the small portions." I don't know where they were eating, but our table and everyone else's in the place had huge plates and bowls with extra large serving sizes. The only thing I would say is that there are charges for extras such as the meatball and sausage on the make your own pasta.

I definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a casual delicious meal. One thing that is still puzzling me are the caricatures in the menu....
