In this economy, when I go out to eat and spend more than $10 on a meal, I want it to be something better than I can make at home.  A group of us stopped here in February after the IKC Show at McCormick place - it was our only option beyond McDonald's.  The place was about half full.  A couple of us ordered nachos, one the flatbread pizza.  The Nachos were horrible - they took forever for us to get them, and by the time we did the nachos were soggy and had to be eaten with a fork.  The cheese came out of a can, the jalapenos came out of a can (don't think they bothered to drain it either), and the chilli came out of a can.  The only fresh ingredient on the plate was a few tiny shreds of green onions.  The flatbread came out of a bag, and had a measly amount of cheese sprinkled over the top.  The waitstaff was rude, and even though I got up on two occasions looking for a bathroom (it wasn't located in the restaurant/bar), I was completely ignored by the bartenders and waitstaff.  Finally, what looked to be a manager of the place came out from behind a glass partition and asked if he could help me.  I'll definitely choose MCDonald's over this next time.

I knocked out on the first night in Chicago waking up at 10pm staying at the Hyatt which the restaurant is in my bf and I decided that we would just eat here since its the most convenient thing to do.

The drinks are pricey but at least they list off the prices! Our waitress was AMAZING she was super friendly, helpful and everything you would want from a server. I got the mini sandwiches which are 4bucks a piece you have to try the Reuben sooo good. My bf got the burger which he enjoyed cooked perfectly with a nice side of fries.

Definitely something unexpected we thought it would be another hotel joint that would be ok but M/X exceeded my expectations.

Although the drinks are a bit pricy. The great attentive staff and wonderful variety of drinks makes up for it!.

This is the place everyone goes to after the Chicago Housewares Show. You should see this place the first day of the show... packed! After a long day, and everyone waiting for cab lines to go down, we just go there to unwind, catchup with people from the industry, and meat some more.

Drinks are always good, servers always friendly...

The last day of the show, we went here with coworkers. This time we had the Cheese Sampler, and ordered, from the "Minis" the Chili Dogs (really good), The Buffalo Chicken (a bit spicy, but also good), and the Reuben.  We all eat, drink and celebrate we made it through another show.

This is a unique review as I am writing about their Sunday BBQ outdoors on the patio.  While walking our dogs we spotted a sign that advertised it as dog friendly.  That is an understatement as they roll out the red carpet for the dogs (literally).  The waiters came to our table with red carpet rugs shaped like  bones & buckets of water. They offer doggie sorbets for $1.50 that are quite large.
The menu is based on a BBQ with the chef outside working grills & cooking up Ribs, pulled pork, chicken & other items.  Prices range from $9. to $19. & include two sides and a dessert.  We both ordered Pulled Pork ($13.) that was dee-lish as were the sides. My only complaint would be that they did not bring butter out with my corn on the cob.  However the wait staff (yes staff, there were 3 people making sure we were taken care of) was fantastic.  Yes it was not busy but we got the royal treatment as did the furry kids.
