On my top 3 list of the worst garbage i've ever eaten. practically tasteless corned beef on tasteless rye with a potato pancake like rubber ( actually had a hard time pulling into pieces ) a pickle and a bottle of water. Â and for that i paid......ready for this?.......$ 16.83!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Â DISGUSTING! Â I was on my way to White Palace when somebody told me Manny's was right around the corner. I don't care WHAT Presidents stop by this place for " Man on the Street " photo ops, it is horrible and i will NEVER go back or recommend. -0 stars!
Review Source:Not the worst, but not the best. There were only two choices of meats when I visited the ever-so dingy Plate Room Food Court embedded within McCormick Place. I selected the corned beef, which wasn't horrible for something that was just mass produced and sitting under a heat lamp. The rye bread was reasonable, although the mustard could have been a bit hotter. They also served a potato pancake/square, which was deep fried to the point of oblivion.
A better choice for food is to have a brunch before visiting McCormick in the downtown area or off Michigan Mile.
Went to Manny's for the first time today after hearing great things about the restaurant from family and friends. I ordered the Breakfast Reuben and it was delicious.
They put the corned beef, swiss, sauerkraut on an onion roll. It also is topped with two over-easy eggs. You also have the option of a potato pancake or hash browns on the side.
For $8.95 it was very filling and was a great taste.
The reason I gave Manny's four stars is because of my expectations. I actually have a couple spots where I get Reubens and other deli sandwiches (i.e. the Brown Sack, Bryn Mawr Deli) that I enjoyed a little better.
Manny's was great though, definitely worth the experience.
"Home of the signature corned beef, peppery pastrami and original crisp potato pancakes" located in the food court in Grand Concourse.
Couldn't decide between corned beef or pastrami so I did the 50/50 option with the potato pancake. Â The sandwich was $14.95 which seems really pricey for a sandwich, but then again you are at the McCormick Convention center. Â Pastrami was tasty I prefer it over their corned beef. Â Beef was on the dry side and had a lot of fat on it. Â Potato pancake wasn't crispy enough and seemed greasy. Â Probably cuz the food was sitting at the deli for some good time before I purchased it. Â Probably better at the real place on Jefferson.
