Aw, really, Marrakech? You've gone so far down hill that you don't even open anymore?
Bought a Groupon Now and told friends to meet me there. Alas, at 7pm on a Wednesday (an evening when they are usually open 5-10:30), they were closed. Closed, with no sign in the window, no apparent signs of life inside...just closed.
I think that a lot of the reviews here are from entitled whiners who care more about having their asses kissed than they do about food...but really, no sign? no message on their machine indicating they might be closed *rather than too busy to answer)? allowing Groupon Now to keep selling on days they aren't around? That's...annoying.
Pull it together and maybe I'll be back to again sample the thing that really counts here: the food.
The person below me, clearly was only at Marrakech days before today so I'm surprised our experiences were this different. I loved this restaurant. THe middle-aged gentleman he is referencing below made my friend and I feel welcome and was very attentive. We learned that he was raised in France and that his father's family was from Morocco, he also was very helpful helping us pick our choices. Â We shared the babganouj, hummus, Atlas Tangine and the Fish Bastille. Â It was deep in flavor, served on time, and seasoned properly.
The decor was very inviting and proper for a Moroccan restaurant.  Plus, this place is  a BYOB without a corkage fee!  So, if you want something savory, spicy, and inviting, I recommend Marrakech.  A hidden gem on Ashland.
