I live 4 blocks away from Martinos. I used to get pizzas from them. Â A lot of pizza Really, Alot from them. Â So much that atleast every 2 months I'd get a free small pizza with 20 coupons. Every time I got the "free" pizza they put almost no ingredents on it. Â WTF!! Â That was strike 1, The pizza was hit or miss. Sometimes it was really good Sometimes it was okay. Strike 2. I called one time to get a pizza with the free small pizza. Almost no cheese. Very little sauce. Â I talked to the old owner. He told me LOUDLY the pizza is free what do You expect. I am a RETURNING customer That means that I shop buy alot from You. Â You should take care of them. Strike 3.
Review Source:I don't know. Some reviewers swear by this restaurant, but I think that might be for the retro hamish quality of the place, not so much the food or service.
I have eaten there many times and would say it is an adequate restaurant.
I used to order delivery regularly - always the same thing, small pan pizza with broccoli, mushroom, garlic. Sometimes they would get something wrong on the order, something small, like not well done when I asked for well done, or the pop would be warm. If I complained they never did anything like give a partial credit. If I asked to speak to the manager a woman who could really care less got on the phone.
So yeah, they are generally nice if nothing goes wrong.
Last night, after a long time not ordering from Martino's, I ordered again, and the pizza came with the ingredients slid over to one side of the pie, and not only not well done, but undercooked.
Voilá 2 stars.
