Visited on a Saturday afternoon. Crowded and hard to park. We were seated quickly, after 15 minutes we found the hostess who sent a waitress over. The beer menu was wide and nicely described. We had appetizers, they were good. The customers tended towards loud upper middle class late 20s who's parents were paying for their apartments, and were shrill.

We went here for a big birthday dinner (reservation of 12) and all and all it was a great experience.

We made reservation on open table and the restaurant was super accomodating especially for a Saturday night. They called to confirm it, seated us early when four of us showed up early, and let us hang out for hours after dinner drinking beer throughout the evening. It was a beautiful large table and our waiter was friendly and attentive, but not too much so.

The beer list is top notch, probably the best in the city especially in terms of regional micros on tap.

The food is good, roasted chicken was delicious. A few bucks more for this type of meal than you'll pay for in some places but well worth it.

    Will definitely go back.

Chicken wings are decent, but the barbeque sauce on the chicken sammie was delicious! Also the balsamic vinaigrette was great as well. Service was timely and they even let you taste a beer if you are unsure about it. I'll be back.

Great neighborhood bar with a fantastic beer selection and decent food.  Lots of choices for vegetarians, which is particularly nice (and unusual for a beer bar).

Definitely a place with pros and cons.

Pro: The beer and cider list is kinda whoa! I tried the Zombie Killer, which was delicious and strong.

Con: The food was not as exciting as the drink list. I had the barley lentil burger with the Red Neck topping - BBQ sauce, cheddar, and bacon. The veggie party was sadly lifeless - kind of squishy, kind of tasteless, sort of burned on the edges. My burger bun was charred pretty badly, and the half slice of bacon, tiny piece of cheddar, and dark brown goo sauce did not make it look better. The fries looked good, but weren't salty enough.

Very con: My stomach did not like this place. For hours after our meal, I had indigestion.

Verdict: I'd go back for drinks, not food.

I was very pleased about my experience at Meridian Pint. The food, the staff, the environment are all great and make this a place I will be returning.

Meridian Pint has a great beer selection and they offer 4 oz tastings if you want to try several beers. Their food is also worth mentioning. While there I tried two different beef burgers from the grill. The first was The Pint, which comes topped with bleu cheese, caramelized onions & bacon. The second was Buffalo, which comes with their signature buffalo sauce, and then is topped with bleu cheese dressing & arugula. Also, while here I tried both the regular fries and the sweet potato wedges.

Both meals were delicious but I favored The Pint and the regular fries respectively.

I had a great experience here. I can't speak for the sit-down restaurant but the downstairs bar is great and serves great food. Everything looked delicious but I went for the pulled  pork nachos (not something I'd usually order!) which were tasty and enough to share with at least 3 people. Great beer selection and friendly bar staff. Drinks are somewhat pricy but I didn't have to wait and the bartender was willing to stop and talk to us about the beers and give us tastings. The place was full but not overcrowded or too noisy. I'd say most of the crowd was over 30. Good place to meet up with friends when you want to be able to actually hear each other. Lots of places to sit down with a small group or play shuffleboard, watch tv etc. Bathrooms were nice and clean. I look forward to going again!

Oh and also close enough to walk from the Columbia Heights Metro!

Wow. Meridian Pint has an incredible beer list. They have beers with high ABVs, low ABVs, IPAs, Hefeweizens, etc. You name it, I bet they have it. Probably about 100 beers either in bottle or tap. They have keg tables, though I have never tried them and am not quite sure how their pricing works. But, as if they needed more to draw you in, their Lentil Barley Burger is astounding. You can get any of their different burger varieties in barley form, which is highly recommended. Their is typically a wait for dinner on Friday and Saturday, but you can easily pop downstairs for a little dinner pre-gaming.

I rolled past on my bike late at night having just gotten off work, looking for something still open! I was inquiring about a place I hadn't set my heart on up the street and the door man told me their kitchen was open and I should come inside instead! I had a delicious, perfectly cooked MR burger with hot sauce & blue cheese and a wonderful citrusy beer alongside it. The service and random company was excellent! Thanks ya'll, I'll be back.

So after a somewhat poor first visit, I swore off this place. BUT, they've been very cooperative with the local dog park (offering to refill water jugs on hot days, etc) so I decided to give them one more chance out of respect for helpful local businesses - and I'm glad I did.

I made a reservation on Open Table, although at 10:45AM on a Saturday there were MAYBE two other tables occupied, so it was ultimately unnecessary. (Still got my Open Table points, though.) We were seated instantly and quickly seen to by a friendly, cheerful waitress who brought us a round of drinks in record time. I had the biscuit-and-gravy (made with local chicken sausage), which would have likely been an A- except that the over-garnishing of chopped chives overwhelmed the somewhat delicate graviness. Dropped it down to a solidly respectable B. My friends had the buttermilk waffle with strawberries and the breakfast tostada, both of which received warmly favorable reviews. Temperature was good on everything, and it came out quite quickly, although I'm sure that was helped by the relative dearth of customers.

The problems of the last time - cranky pushy servers, crappy overpriced stuff - were largely corrected, although the fail-and-chips was still a featured entree. I warned a friend off of that one, and she was pleased with her tostada. The actual dining area, with its enormous glass garage doors and lots of light, is very pleasant in the morning sunshine.

Verdict: still not going back for dinner or special events, but the brunch is quite respectable, and reasonably priced for the quality/area. I'll be happy to add it into the rotation of "places within shuffling distance of my apartment where I'll happily stuff my face on Sundays." My primary suggestion (Mr. GM dude? Are you reading this?): I know it's a place that prides itself on its beer, and rightfully so, but sometimes the hair of the dog is a bit more than one is in the mood for. The breakfast beer cocktail list is charming, but add a mimosa option or two (bottomless mimosas, lemonade mimosas, whatever) to stay hip to the local trends.

Great experience. Food was yummy. I got a buffalo chicken sandwich with a side salad and they had great portions and satisfying flavor. Beer options here are amazing, and the atmosphere is young and fun.  I would definitely return here again and again.

Always a bit shallow atmosphere, always more like a restaurant rather than a bar.
Its sporty basement with tons of TV is closed on Saturday 14:45 when the FINAL EUFA game is going on.  In general except the friendly bartenders serve your ice-water with smile there is something serious is being missed here that I don't exactly know yet. Maybe the lack of fun girls!

This place has pretty much everything I'm looking for in a bar/restaurant. Delicious craft beer? Laid back atmosphere? Tasty food? Patio? Check, check, check and check!

Though the weather was a little dreary the gf and I were delighted to take advantage of the patio. We were seated promptly. I'd say the restaurant is about 40% full on a Saturday around 5.

The beer list is quite extensive as to what they have on tap (though they were out of a couple things on their menu) and they have an even larger bottle list. The prices are so-so, between $6-$8.

I'd say the food was very good. The open faced veggie sandwhich I ordered was perhaps the best veggie sandwhich I've ever had (compare to RFD's nappy veggie options) and super filling. The side sweet potato wedges were quite tasty as well. The girlfriend quite enjoyed her salmon salad. It was so huge that I ended up enjoying about 1/2 of it as well.

All in all this is a place I'll definitely be coming back to for a beer fix and for tasty food options. I'm most excited about making it back for brunch.

I love Meridian Pint. I love craft beer. As it happens, I also love burgers, but I failed to enjoy a particularly horrific burger at this same neighborhood joint. (Imagined charred hockey puck of a patty-- instant disappointment) I might have otherwise considered this place more of a 4.5-star establishment. Oh well!

Forget the food; I come here for the beer. I can't imagine a better place to stop by on my way home. I believe the happy hour special is $2 off drafts (acceptable but not stellar), and if you go on a Tuesday night after 11 PM, half the beers become $3! Oh what I would give to get that Allagash Curieux for $3 a glass. During craft been week, the deals were even sweeter as MP sought to roll over every tap every day. I have unfortunately not yet made it out at 11 PM on a Tuesday. Each time I try, I find myself too tired and craven by the time 10:45 PM rolls by. Each time I doze unhappily to sleep, I tell myself, "Next week... next week for sure..."

    Alas.

I swear I'll make it out there one of these days; stay tuned.

Walking out of my house with a wolf's appetite and wanting to experience something other than my regular 14th Street fare, I thought Meridian Pint, with solid four-star rating on this here site, would be a fine choice. With an equally famished friend in tow, I followed the host to a table outdoors and thus we were seated for a late Sunday brunch.

Appetizers: Fish Taquitos for him, Fried Calamari for me.

We both declined each other's tasting offers because we thought the food was just all right. The fried calamari was straight-up disappointing: very greasy and devoid of any flavor. I wasn't a fan of the sauce that came with it, so I mixed ketchup with Cholula, which ended up being a fine substitute.

Main: Breakfast Tostada for him, House-Cured Salmon Sandwich for me.

Again, neither of us sampled the other's food--though my friend did say that his tostada, while tricky to eat, was good. My sandwich came with a large side of House Salad whose dressing I did not care for. The sandwich itself was soft and not particularly memorable, whether in taste or texture. Smoke salmon fares better with crispy--or at least a slightly less soft--bread, I would say.

    Dessert: Chai Spiced Creme Caramel

This dessert, oval in shape and about a centimeter thick, comes out on a plate in a shallow pool of light syrup with diced mango, almond praline, and a sprig of mint. It is dense and creamy, but not as smooth as one would expect from looking at it. Still, it was the tastier part of our meal and paired nicely with the coffee.

From this sole experience I would not conclude that the food at Meridian Pint is bad; if anything, perhaps we didn't make the best food selections. I am open to future visits, but not before I've tried all of the establishments within a three-block radius.

I used to live just around the corner from Meridian Pint, & would stop by pretty regularly when my boyfriend or I was craving a burger. I recommend sticking to the burgers because some of the ther choices, in my experience, are kind of bland. They do have pretty large servings, so don't over-order.

There is usually a wait for seating, whether you are there for brunch or dinner, but I don't think I've ever had to wait more than 15-20 minutes to be seated. Most of the servers are nice, but the service has never blown me away. You're not really going to experience a lot of "hey guys, my name is chad and I have the pleasure of taking care of you tonight!"

Brunch is pretty good, they have a decent-sized menu of sweet and savory options. I'm a big brunch fan, and as long as you don't totally ruin my food. The poached egg & tomato concasse is good, the waffles are also a good choice. Nothing has totally blown me away, but they're pretty reliably good.

Probably if I drank beer, I would be way more into Meridian Pint. They have a pretty big selection of craft beers & have two seating areas (bar/restaurant upstairs & another larger bar vibe-y deal downstairs.) This is where I take my dad when he comes to visit, as he has a lot of beer choices and he feels like he is somewhere hip. I think that's the overall vibe here, you feel like you're somewhere cool even though you're surrounded by yuppies, but your server knows a lot about bikes and you can impress people with your choice of obscure beer.

In closing, despite my lackluster review, I keep going to Meridian Pint because the food is decent and there are still not a ton of good options in walking distance in Columbia Heights.

I've only been to Meridian Pint for beer, so I'm only rating it on the beer.

This is, in my opinion, the go-to spot for American craft beer in the nation's capital. There's a large list of draught beer and an even larger list of bottles. Every so often, they clean out the taplines and sell full pours of micros for much cheaper until they run out (I think it's called Beermergency). I had the Double Jack Double IPA, which is an incredible beer.

There are actually two bars--upstairs and downstairs. Upstairs has more of a restaurant-type atmosphere, while downstairs is more of a bar. Go downstairs. It's brighter, cosier, and a place you can grab good beer in a relaxed setting. I didn't really get Meridian Pint until I found out there was a downstairs.

If you like beer, you'll like it here. Every time I go there, there are usually only three or four beers that I've even tried before.

Stopped in for an event during the Craft Brewers Conference...I knew it was going to be crazy...but Meridian Pint brought it's A game. The crowd was packing the place but our server was on point...fast,but not rushing us...friendly and gave great recommendations on the food. The bartenders wasted no movements and served everyone with a smile....knowing events like the one they had don't come around often. The space was clean, comfortable and the downstairs bar was rocking as well.

The chicken breast I had was damn thick...usually that means it's either burnt or not cooked enough all the way thru...but it was cooked perfectly...and it was damn big! I had a great time there and the next time I will be in DC i'll be there. Overall...everything I hope for when I go out for beer and food.

I'd give it 3/4 for the food and feel, but 0/1 for service. Went for brunch, sat downstairs. 5 of us ordered at the bar, and the 2 people who ordered last got their food within 15 minutes while the 3 of us waited for 40 minutes before going to ask about it. The bartender lady did not apologize, said some food take longer than others (we ordered the same thing as the people who ordered last..). The manager was also not apologetic after we've been waiting for an hour. I understand it can get busy, but just be honest with me and say you made a mistake and will make it up.

Would like to go back but I am hesitant.

My buddy Josh took Ashley and myself here on Friday night.  It reminds me of a place you would find in Lincoln Park (for all my Chicago people) back home.  The food was ridiculously good and the beer was great too.  DC is pretty expensive, so make sure you are ready to pay at least 10% more for everything.

The food is decent, but nothing extraordinary.

I really wish the server had given me a heads up about the massive portion sizes; I ordered a salad and a soup, and it was SO MUCH FOOD.  Too much.  I would have downsized if I had known.  The salad I got had salmon in it, and was fairly fresh, but as I said, the flavor combination didn't blow me away.  Meh.

The beer selection here is INSANE, which is really the only reason it deserves that fourth star.  That's the real draw for this place!  Do a beer flight and pick out some of the things you'd like to try; they will have at least a few things you aren't familiar with.

Oddly enough, they even had a beer from Anchor Brewing (based in SF) that my partner and I hadn't tried before!

While the restaurant service was a bit odd (both with the hostess and the server), when we came and just sat at the bar, it was fantastic.  The bartender was chatty without being overbearing, friendly, and attentive.

Go for the beer.  Get food elsewhere.

Good neighborhood joint. Recently went for brunch with the bartender serving us. He was awesome. For vegans and vegetarians, there are considerably more options. Went with the tofu scramble while another member of our party went with the vegan burger. Both were good. You get more for your money than Sticky Fingers down the street. Was it the best scramble in the world? No, but I would order it again. Will be back to try the other options.

Given how busy they can get, I would prefer to be able to have them call when a table opens up instead of the beeper so that you can visit a nearby establishment while you wait. Especially if your wait will be over 30+ minutes. Calling/texting people is becoming standard practice at restaurants and is greatly appreciated. The large beeper, while appreciated, feels kind of dated (Outback Steakhouse late 90s/early 00s)

So you're in Columbia Heights and haven't found a place to hang yet.....and you are reading this because you're new to this place. Go now! I recently moved out of DC and this was one of those places I made sure to visit and enjoy one last time before I left. They often update their menu and they offer good drinks with good sandwiches and entrees for people who want to enjoy a quality evening and aren't able to afford Ruth's Chris or something extravagant.  I loved sitting outside and catching up with friends and getting to see people in the neighborhood pass....this definitely is a fun community spot.

Downstairs is great too....they have big round tables for friends to sit at while enjoying the sports bar and TVs. Plus they have pool tables. Is there anything they're really missing? All in all a great hangout spot for people living in the Columbia Heights area or people on that side of DC who need a good meeting spot.

we went there on a Friday evening for dinner.  The place was packed, so we were waiting for a good 10 minutes before our waitress approached us on the table with our waters on hand asking us to know if we were ready to order.  To her surprise, the girl who sat us did not give us our menus...so our waitress had to give us that, and then disappear for another 10 minutes.  After we ordered what we wanted, the food did not take that long ( about another 10 minutes - that was a pleasant surprise).  The food itself was good, I cannot complain; however, it was not surprising.  I might have to go back and taste their brunch offerings, since that's what I see people are buzzing about.  All in all, it is a pretty good place to go.

To my surprise...after reading all these great reviews, I order the turkey hash about 30 mins after we sat down. It was crazy. Once the waitress finally noticed that we had been siting for a while she came over and we quickly received an apology and got two glasses of water with no straws. We both decided to order quickly before she disappeared with our orders. I wanted to ask the waitress for straws, but she was no where to be found. I got up walked up to the bar and excused my way to a couple of straws.

After about 40 mins of waiting for our much anticipated brunch, I was *surprised* to see my turkey hash burnt black on the bottom and on the corners. Lets just say I was too hungry to wait and it was like eating poached eggs with a side of charcoal. The french toast were more of a bread pudding on top a loaf of bread with some cold brown sugar that seemed to be more of a slime than syrup.

Next time I come here it will NOT be for brunch. I will also definitely sit at the bar for faster and better service...WOW!

I would give Meridian Pint 5 stars if they didn't serve food.  It's a pretty large restaurant (two floors) on a quiet street in Columbia Heights.  The beer selection here is awesome - ambers, IPAs, stouts, a little bit for everyone.  I tried one of their Baltimore brews called the Saison - it was excellent.  I also tried a dark amber and it was smooth and hit the spot.  This place is great for beer snobs like myself.  If you appreciate good beer (especially from local breweries), you need no other reason to check out Meridian Pint.

OK, so the food.  I ordered the beef brisket sandwich with sweet potato wedges.  The sandwich was downright awful.  And I mean bad.  I literally took a bite and said to myself, "What the hell is this?"  I really wanted to return the sandwich and order something else, but I was with a date and didn't want to look like a weenie.  So I continued eating it until half way through.  The beef was charred (i.e. waaaaay over cooked), had no spices, and was just bad.  It was probably the worst sandwich I've ever had.  I'm also not picky with foods - I'll eat almost anything.  The sweet potato wedges were much better, but nothing to write home about.  I'm hesitant to try another food item here because the sandwich was that bad, but I'll probably end up doing so in case the chef was just having a "wut" moment that night.

Service here is excellent.  Really friendly host, bartenders, and servers.  I was greeted warmly when I came in and when I exited.  At the bar, I asked for recommendations and the bartender provided awesome recs based on my preferences.  He was also patient and gave me samples of beer he thought I would like.

I've also been to Meridian Pint during Friday night and it's a great spot for hanging out with friends and drinking.  I'm definitely returning, but we'll probably stick with the beers next time.

Good: Huge variety of craft beer, Menu is Indian/fusion and American (most people in my group of 10+ liked their food, I surprisingly did not)

Bad: REALLY REALLY LOUD, Table taps pour a lot of foam for the first few pints which is annoying and a significant waste of money as the beer is metered by the ounce, not much seating/booths are crowded by the standing-room bar patrons.

Would go back if I was invited by friends but I'd weigh my options.  Probably a great spot for locals or people who love Indian food.

I stand by what I wrote before: great place to grab a beer, not so great place to have a meal. Food is still average, beer selection still top notch.

One thing to add: trivia night here is painful. Goes kinda slow and one of the hosts is super annoying to listen to. Bummer too because it isn't crazy busy and pretty chill otherwise.

We ended up at Meridian Pint early on a Saturday night after a long week spent nearby at Washington Medical Center. I didn't think there were many choices right around the hospital, but Meridian Pint was actually less than a mile away! Definitely recommend hitting up this street (which has a few other restaurants) if you're stuck at the hospital for any amount of time.

I was first turned off when I immediately walked in to see a bouncer at around 6PM. Everyone in our party was over 21, but I wasn't really in the mood for a bar atmosphere (which is what a bouncer suggests to me). I guess the bar was upstairs though and they were seating people for dinner downstairs, so we ended up going in. We didn't get a good first impression from the hostess, who yelled at us to close the door because we were letting cold air in. She was not very friendly at all...I would've said thank you when she walked us to our table, but she simply walked away.

Nevertheless, our waiter was very nice and the food was good. I just got a house salad because I planned to split the grilled steak sandwich with my mom. The salad was HUGE for $6. I was shocked because it was a meal all by itself. It was also very tasty - the mustard vinaigrette dressing was really good and didn't taste very mustardy. The sandwich left a little to be desired. The meat was very fatty and there wasn't that much. Definitely not an even bread-to-meat ratio. The portabella mushrooms were great, but seemed like a strange addition to the sandwich - I ate them separately. The fries were pretty good - they were that nice greasy kind that goes great with a great aioli. Sadly, there was no aioli but they did provide BBQ sauce and ketchup.

Overall, I liked Meridian Pint -- I'm not a beer drinker and obviously, their beer list is one of the things they're known for. Nevertheless, I was happy with my meal and the service from the waiter was great. It's got a great atmosphere, so I do think it'd be fun for happy hour sometime!

Discounted appetizers on days when there are football games.

Massive beer selection with mini sizes for tastings (I love it when bars have this).

Food was hit or miss. I had fish taquitos which I thought were dry, but I tasted my friend's goat cheese croquettes and I thought they were really good. I would definitely recommend them. I hear the burgers here are really good as well.

This place is great for big groups, as they have large tables and booths. Lots of screens available for watching sports. I would say the beer selection/atmosphere makes up for my dry taquitos.  I would come back here if I were in the area again.

Forget the gimmick at the two tables downstairs where you can pour your own draft beer.  That is not what makes Meridian Pint a destination for an evening.  The reason Meridian Pint is worth your time is directly related to their excellent rotating taps of fine beer.  Last night, Meridian Pint had two incredible beers on tap (Bell's Hopslam and Stone's EnjoyBy, the former which lasted all of three hours).  Naturally, given my love for IPAs, I stopped by for a visit.

The bar was crowded as one could expect during a Hopslam event, but the bartenders did a great job getting everyone their respective beers.  $9 per Hopslam on draft wasn't a bad price either (the beer - once excellently priced - now retails for just under $30 per six pack).  I ended up drinking two of them before switching over to Stone's EnjoyBy.

The food is decent, but I'd probably rather just eat next door at Kangaroo Boxing Club or cross the street for some Mexican at El Chucho.  That isn't to say the menu is bad (I kind of enjoyed my burger with blue cheese and caramelized onions), but rather that there are some good choices in the vicinity as well.

Probably the best feature of Meridian Pint is their late night Tuesday special where they sell the beer from their rotating taps at dirt cheap prices.  If you live in Columbia Heights and drink beer, you'd be a fool not to take advantage of this special.  Basically, you are getting some of the best beer in the States at $3/draft.  I'm not aware of any other bar in DC that has such an amazing special.

Overall, I have plenty of love for Meridian Pint.  And frankly, at least from a beer perspective, I can't think of a better Tuesday night  in the entire city.

Meridian Pint is a very nice local pub.  They have a solid beer list, with a large list of draught beer, and a longer list of bottles. Yet the draught list is very heavy on IPA's and had almost none of the stout or abbey styles that I prefer.

The food is ok, but the menu is kind of uninspiring for me. It tends towards being New American, with a lot of burgers. It is nice that the burgers can come with sweet potato wedges and that the ingredients are local sourced when possible. The non-burger entrees are a bit on the pricey side.  The burger itself was solid, but the bun was too spongy and not that good.

The restaurant and bar are also always packed on the weekends and there is very little seating.  This is particularly frustrating because the turnover really doesn't seem efficient. I ran into a bunch of people that I knew who are from the neighborhood. If I lived in Columbia Heights I could see this being my neighborhood pub and I'd be quite content with it.  It isn't a destination that I find worth traveling for though.

I had a really bad experience last night.  I ordered food at the bar and asked for a beer menu.  The bar tended had a list of obscure and in my opinion quite overpriced, even though fancy, beers.  When I told the bartender I would like a cheaper beer he said they didn't have any and that he could make me a mixed drink instead.  So, I ordered an old fashioned.

The bartender under-poured my drink and then charged me more than if I had purchased one of the fancy beers.  Then my food came out slow, cold and soggy.  To top it all off we waited until 11 to take advantage of the "3 beers after 11 special" listed on the menu.  When we went to the bar to order, the bar tender said they had postponed this special until in gets less busy in the bar!  When I asked him why this wasn't changed on the menu he dismissed my question and acted busy and walked away.

The underlying theme was poor customer service, over-priced and under-poured drinks, cold and soggy food and no willingness to rectify our complaints!

I give Meridian Pint many thumbs down and will never go here again and neither should you!!!

    5-star beer list, 5-star service, 4-star decor, 2-star food, 1 star clientele.

Meridian Pint does beer right and earns the pun in its name (I'd like to believe it has something to do with the White House meridian, aka 16th St, but the etymology might just have to do with the owner's aesthetic appreciation of the compas rose). Lots of bottles, lots of taps - some metered on the tables themselves (!) - and bartenders who won't roll their eyes at you if your Belgian-Abbey-name pronunciation is dilettante.

The food is some bullshit. Expensive gastro-pub menu delivered with the finesse of a greasy spoon. There are not many circumstances when I'd turn food like this down - it's eminently edible - but there aren't many that I'd pay for it either. Had the "steak" once and the brunch (French Toast, American) a couple of times. Bah. This is now a foodie neighborhood. Don't eat here.

Unfortunately, it's the patrons (which are only partially the fault of the establishment) that keep me from coming here except when I'm exceptionally drunk. Walk by and you'll hear the smokers outside, skinny jeans-clad all of them, declaiming their hatred of hipsters. They've gotten so ironic they've turned on themselves.

It's very possible that they offer some sort of discount if you wear a black v-neck t-shirt (black 'top' if you're of the female persuasion): at least 75% of the patrons will be spotted wearing one.
