sadly, this place was sold to another owner.  we are goign to miss the old owner.  after seeing them almost weekly for past 7 years, we have become good friends.

good news is that new owner remodeled the place with brighter, cleaner and more selections!  come and try them out..

    1/31/2012 update
the new owner decided to keep the same name.

My parents come here all the time for Korean food (when they feel lazy and don't cook their own), so my mom finally brought me here when I told her I was in the mood for nang myun (cold buckwheat noodles).  They have the normal nang myun choices, but also have a special "Midopa nang myun", which I asked for.  It was so good and refreshing on the hot hot summer day.

My mom got the seafood dot sol bibimbap, which I think was my favorite! It cooked so well in the pot, and I enjoyed scraping the burned/crisp rice at the bottom until the very last grain was gone.  It was flavored really well and spicy and warm and delicious.

My one bad comment is I wish they gave more side dishes. I

The good:  The single server was friendly and super efficient, most of the ban chan we got were really tasty. The price tag was good, under $20 for dinner for 2.

The bad: we got a bibimbap and a dol sot bibimbap (my favorite dinner).  The regular bibimbap was served stone cold and without rice, the dol sot was sizzling hot and had rice but neither had any flavor at all :(

We were also served a soup that had no flavor.

It might have been an off night but I doubt we'll be back.  My search for good korean in Denver continues :(

My boyfriend and I drove all the way from Boulder to eat here and it was definitely worth the trip!  I had the dolsot bibimbap and he had the bulgogi and we both enjoyed our meals.
The service was great.  Our waitress was really nice and helpful.
For the two of us our dinner came to about $20 which is definitely a deal.
Midopa is right next to a Korean supermarket which made the trip twice the fun!

There aren't very many good Korean food restaurants in CO but, Midopa is one of the better ones.  That being said, there are only a few select items I can recommend here, I've had some bad food here too.  I always stick to the beef soon tubu gegeh.  Their kimchi is one of the best I've had, so I gave them another star for having some good banchan.  Reasonable pricing too.

Update:  Under new management, food tastes worse, go elsewhere.

Love this korean food gem in aurora. Service is always fantastic..food is authentic and inexpensive all the time and side dishes are always fresh and tastey. Tea is hot in winter and while the inside decor isnt fancey..i think it adds to the experience of getting good homecooked korean food with great service.Anyone want to join me there? Just drop me a message because I am always up for this place!!
