I'm giving this place 4 stars ONLY bc the food is amazing! The service here is EXTREMELY SLOW! The first time i went at 9 pm - not too many people in the restaurant only a few parties... I sat there for 15 minutes before anyone came over to say hello. Then another 5 after the introduction to order pellegrino water. I've been back once since then - service still very slow!

Great Lamb Chops, Excellent Pasta Dishes, The Spinach & Mushroom Dish w/no butter is Delicious! Wine List is Great too! Just don't go on a night you'd like to eat dinner and leave - go when you have time to deal with the slowness of the service...

My wife and I stopped in here last Thursday after the Ron White Show at the Broward center for performing arts.  I was not very impressed.  The three stars were for the service as it was all I expected and more but the food was mediocre at best.  We ordered the mozzarella and prosciutto appetizer which was good but it went down hill from there. I had the 6oz. filet, 3 grilled shrimp, and 2 bacon wrapped scallops.  The shrimp were way over done and like beef jerky and the steak was nothing special (I've had just as good at Outback for half the price).  My wife had the Alaskan King Crab and said it was fishy and overdone.  We also had two sides Broccoli which was so over done it might as well have been mush and Horseradish mashed potatoes which had a good flavor but were very dry like they were pre made and sitting since lunch service.  Overall not worth the $200 the meal with tip cost.

Usually I have spent my birthdays at Ruths Chris and wanted to try Morton's. What a disappointment.  The ambiance can't compare with Ruths Chris, The service was less than you would expect at a restaurant that has exhorbinant  prices, more than Ruths Chris.
The food was excellent except for the onion soup that had little to no cheese.
it took us 10 minutes and many tries to get the attention of the waitress. We finally called the maitre d to get our server.
I will never come here again as I don't think they appreciate what people are paying in a day and age when money is scarce. I would think that the servers would hover over their guest and make sure that glasses are refilled with water and that every need is met.

My husband and I went to Morton's for our date night. I had a wonderful experience. The service by Noni was excellent.  The only  complaint I had was  the soups. I had the bisque and I was not pleased with it. Noni, offered me the onion soup. The onion soup was not good. It taste like it had more cheese and bread than onion broth. But, overall I would come back. The ambiance, the outstanding service and  the Chilean Sea Bass more than over compensated for my soup.

I came here because I won a free steak and seafood dinner for two. After making the reservations and being very well taken care of, I came to their bar at 5 before they open the dining room. The selections are extensive and the bartender knew what he was doing. He created what had to be one of the best Gin & St. Germain martinis I've ever had. It was perfectly balance, which many places tend to fail on, and had tiny chips of ice that was so refreshing.

We were seated and told the menu we could choose from, the steaming hot onion bread came out and we were in heaven. That bread alone can make a meal. I ordered the warm spinach salad with bacon, the Filet Mignon with broiled scallops, the french fries and the creme brulee. Everything was amazing, the salad was interesting, but I wouldn't order it again. Something about wilted/warm salad doesn't seem right in my mind.
The cook was perfect on the filet, the scallops were decadent. I haven't had such good scallops in ages. I mean I really didn't even need the bacon wrapped around them, they were phenomenal being solo and naked. The fries need a lot of seasoning, they tend to be quiet bland, but they are steakhouse fries that tend to be huge and under seasoned. The creme brulee was great but there isn't any pizzazz to it. I think creme brulee is over rated and out-dated really. Unless they put some kind of spin on the flavors, it's just old.

Jonathan ordered the ceasar salad, Filet Mignon with Shrimp Alexander and the molten chocolate cake. He normally doesn't order salad and said it was one of the best ceasar salads he's had, it seemed a little over dressed to me, but I loved the big croutons and fresh romaine. His filet was just the same as mine, perfect but the Shrimp Alexander were quiet boring. Again, this is just one of those out dated kind of boring things you order that sounds amazing but just fails to please. They were just as they should be, but nothing special. The chocolate cake on the other hand was amazing, I should have ordered that puppy! It was so perfectly warm and soft and gooey, and the compliment of the cold sweet ice cream worked so well.

So really I think steakhouses aren't my thing anymore, I want more adventurous dining with innovative dishes to taste. I think I'm finally over the old fashioned steak dinner with the typical American sides and desserts. But if that's what your looking for, they treat you damn good here and they know how to cook it damn well. Cheers.

A friend and I went there for dinner on Friday night. The place was empty when we got there around 7pm and while we were dining a few more customers came in. Of course this is off season but my god how do they stay open.

The waiter was professional, too professional that I was afraid to ask for more fluffy bread when we were finished.  I saw other table had one bread to go from their waiter but we weren't offered that.  The steak was good (I still prefer Ruth Chris), we ordered two sides (creamed spinach and asparagus) and shared but nothing special.  We ordered their signature Morton chocolate cake and it wasn't anything to write home about.  Nowadays, lots of places have this cake with chocolate filling so it's not so much signature or legendary anymore.

Overall, stuffy atmosphere, stuffy waiter (too professional and not engaging), very expensive food makes this place just so so place.  Steaks are good but everything else were just ordinary.  Every other restaurants have same sides and dessert.  Ruth is much better and with that money we should have gone to Brazilian steak restaurant (chima) and will have a much more satisfying meal.

A big fan of the Morton's locations in the DC metro area, I was a little apprehensive about this location based on Yelp reviews.

My only complaint, like those of others is that they have no butter knives! That's all I can complain about though. Seems to be a hot button item here on Yelp. I could actually care less about butter knives.

I took my boyfriend here for his birthday. I indicated it was his birthday during the reservation, which I always like to do when given the opportunity. Every single person from the hostess, server, two managers on the floor and the guy that keeps your water full were sure to say "Happy Birthday, Michael." They also took the souvenir photo that they do for special events and presented it to us in a paper Morton's frame. I always appreciate special touches like that during birthday's and anniversaries.

I ordered a caesar salad, 12 oz center cut filet mignon cooked medium and a baked potato. My boyfriend ordered the same salad and filet (cooked medium rare) along with sour cream mashed potatoes.

We actually split one salad at the encouragement of our super awesome server, Kristy (or Christy, or Kristi, or however she chooses to spell it). We weren't sure if a salad on top of everything else would be too much and she said that they are big enough to easily split and still enjoy a good portion. I appreciate when a server is helpful and not just trying to run up your check... as we probably would have gotten two salads even if we didn't want all of that food.

We also ordered the hot chocolate lava cake dessert that we had to get to go as we were stuffed. They comped the dessert since it was a special event... another nice touch.

We didn't have to sit through an endless presentation, which I preferred. Our server told us the things we probably wanted to hear, but didn't over do it or make it dramatic. There was no cart, which is great, because we already know what we're ordering going in. In fact, I never saw the cart. Did they stop doing the cart? I never saw the purpose of the cart, anyway... just make me some good food!

My steak had just the right amount of pink and couldn't have been better. My boyfriend commented that his had just enough blood as a lot of places are worried about the blood and cook it more than he likes. He said it was delicious. The sides and bread were great, as they always are.

The service we received was top notch and I felt the need to over tip, which I only do if it's exceptional.

I'm glad I didn't let some of the Yelp reviews prejudice me as I ended up being pleasantly surprised. We will certainly be back.

Came here on Valentine's Day and it was the worst but the service was great.

To start off with, some ordered the Lobster Bisque which was VERY BLAND and with very little lobster. So we told our waiter that we were not pleased with the lobster bisque and he took it off our bill immediately. One ordered the crab cake and when it came out to our table, we just laughed and was so speechless because it was only one crab cake and it was petite! I ordered the Tuna Tartare, which was fresh and tasted amazingly good. As our main entree came out, we were pleased with the steaks we all order.

I would say this would be my first and last experience at Morton's.

On my first trip to this particular Morton's, our server ordered me the wrong filet. When he realized his mistake he quickly fixed the issue and brought me a new entrée.

The manager also got involved and made sure to bring my correct entrée as quickly as possible.  The entire staff was  so accommodating in correcting their mistake. I really appreciated their attentiveness and I felt they went above and beyond to make me a happy patron.  In fact the manager comped my dinner and brought the table a complimentary dessert. That wasn't necessary but was much appreciated.

Great food and amazing service. You can't go wrong with Morton's.

I've dined at Morton's many times in many cities and have always had good experiences. We came here for happy hour and ordered 4 different appetizers as well as drinks. The service was good and the drinks were okay but the food was really bad. The crab cake sliders were some of the worst crab cakes I've ever had and after everyone at the table tried them no one wanted a second. The filet mignon sliders weren't any better. The steak was good but they were served on cheap sesame buns with no presentation at all. Even the salad wedges were bad. We will not be dining here again, not for happy hour at least. Major letdown!!

Very good food, less-than-mediocre service.  When I'm spending a pretty penny on dinner for 6, I expect ass-kissing service.  Instead, the waitress was annoyed at us, and I had to practically force our orders into her notepad.  She almost didn't take my appetizer or wine order, and then smacked the food down when it came.  Oh, and the place was empty (mid week).  Management needs to train its servers much better.

On the positive side, the steaks were very tasty; crisp on the outside and medium rare inside - perfect.  The lamb chops were lean and delicious.  The salmon was rare inside - not fully cooked - which is totally wrong.  You don't under-cook salmon.  Yes, it's the "new thing," but it's wrong.  This isn't tuna; cook the salmon all the way through.  The side dishes were excellent, including the Brussel sprouts, the thick French fries, the onion rings, and huge steamed asparagus.  Deserts - the soufflé and the molten cake -  were well made and quickly eaten.  Overall, despite good food, one expects top notch service at an expensive steakhouse; this Morton's did not deliver on the full promise.  Disappointing.

Try the Morton's in Aventura or Boca- avoid this location.

I've done a lot of reviewing, including an appearance on "Check Please," but this will be the first where I use a 1-10 rating scale, where 10 is tops.  This is easier, and it saves wear and tear on my typing fingers.

VALET PARKING -- one must know where to look, on the south side of the office building.  Because the building is at the SW corner of Broward Blvd. and Federal 1, there's little chance of finding street parking.   The service was perfect, but it may have been a 75-foot walk to the entrance, not good in a downpour.             Score:  8

AMBIANCE -- nicely urban and polished.   Score:  9

STAFF GREETING & SEATING -- wonderfully cordial and friendly.      Score:  10

COCKTAIL -- a decent Manhattan, but half the size served at Ruth's Chris.  No score.

APPETIZERS --  lots of food was coming, so we skipped 'em.

SALAD -- we split a chopped salad, which I thought was tasty but chopped so fine that we could have used spoons to consume it.     Score:  8

CREAMED SPINACH -- big portion, perfect.     Score:  10

LYONNAISE POTATOES -- not as I expected, but perfect.  Score:  10

M'LADY'S LITTLE FILET -- looks really small when served on an otherwise bare plate, but she reported it was very good with Bearnaise sauce.     Score:  8

MY CHICAGO STYLE BONE-IN RIBEYE STEAK -- made a good appearance, properly charred in all the right places, but 2-4 oz. smaller than I expected for the $54 price tag.  The taste was great, but alas, the meat was NOT juicy and tender (ordered medium rare), and was the night's only disappointment.   I prepare luscious rib steaks on my grill at home, so I was pretty disappointed.  In retrospect, I should have sent it back after the first two bites.       Score:  4

WINE -- two glasses of something red, not memorable, but okay.  No score.

DESSERT -- we shared an order of  great "upside-down apple pie".  Score:  10
COFFEE -- a very good decaf, lightly roasted, mellow rather than bitter.  Score:  10

STEMWARE, GLASSWARE, FLATWARE, NAPKINS -- Score:  10

SERVICE -- perfect, from entrance to departure.   Score 10

SUMMARY -- despite the disappointment with my costly rib steak, we had a very good time and departed Morton's in a jolly mood with lots of leftovers.

LATER NOTE:  I grilled a nicely-marbled Fresh Market rib steak after writing the review.  It turned out tender, juicy, and delicious.  My wife pronounced it the best steak she ever had.

My first--and last--time there. I went for Prime Ribs and they only had 2 left--none rare or medium rare---oh wait they only cooked one rib--5 portions-- though it is the special of the night--oh wait again--they will not be serving PR anymore--in any case Gamaroff's down in Hallendale serves a better, just as big a Prime rib at $12.95 instead of $55.
That's one thing I noticed--none of the reviews here or on their web site are there are prices--for 2 PR ($110) 1 order hashbrowns( $11) 1 carrot cake ($11.50) 1 Creme Brulee ($11) 2 sodas ($8.50) plus tax plus tip came to ($196) and the food wasn't any better than what you could get at Gamaroff's or The Ark, nor were the surroundings any better than a Taps42,  Duffy's (without the TVS), Appleebes or any of the other Corporate restaurants this company owns--like Red Lobster, Olive Garden, etc.
Nothing wrong with the service but can't the company afford to serve a butter knife with the bread and butter instead of a steak knife???
All in all the place is average and $196 for 2 needs more than average!!!!
This was/is part of my 19th Leap Year birthday celebration and I know it has to get better!
There is complimentary valet parking but not that easy to find!

I came here a few weeks ago for a friend's birthday. There was a nice personal touch when we got to our table, the menu had a birthday message and there was little "birthday glitter" on the table. After that everything went down hill.
    1) bread and butter with no butter knives, only steak knives.
    2) 2 people (including myself) ordered soups and they did not come out with everyone's salads. In fact everyone finished their salads and had the dishes taken away and we still hadn't gotten our soups yet. Someone actually had to remind the waiter that they were ordered.
    3) I ordered the lobster bisque and it left much to he desired. Felt like I could've gotten it out of a can.
    4) 1 person actually didn't receive their salad at all.
    5) I had to send my steak back twice( which has never happened to me) because it was under cooked. By the time it was corrected one side was kinda burned and I just simply didn't want it anymore.
    6) oh and they "ran out of potatoes" how does a steakhouse run out of potatoes?? And we were not informed of the this mishap until they just simply didn't arrive with our meal.
    7) the big highlight of the night was when someone in our group had his car hit while it was being valet parked.
    8) it took more than 30 mins for us to get the check

All in all I will not return to Morton's. It was my first time there and it left a bad taste in my mouth. I feel that a place of that status should not have so many mishaps. I should've went next door to P.F Chang's

    YAWN!

Came on a Friday night. The place was busy but not full. Not sure why the wait staff was running all flustered left and right. 2 separate waiters came by to tell us the same thing " that our server would be right by to give us the presentation" and ask what kind of water we wanted. ooooookay.

Got the "presentation". Live lobster on a rolling cart also in attendance listening as our soft spoken waiter showed us the meat cuts and oversized vegetables. I ordered the ribeye from the smaller portions side of the menu and my husband ordered the Chicago style ribeye which was significantly larger. We added a 6oz lobster tail to each of our dishes (ended up being 45.00 each in addition to our steaks oooooookay $90.00).As a side we did the Lyonnaise potatoes.

The bread came and it was a huge full piece (about 8" in diameter). We asked for butter knives but were told they had none, just steak knives.oooookay again. Buttered the bread with steak knives. Had the lobster bisque as a starter. It was just ok. Could have been creamier. It had a chunk of lobster at the bottom.

The entrees came. The meats were cooked ok. Not the best I have ever had (helloooo L.A.'s CUT!) but it was good. The potatoes were also good. The lobster had a side of butter oil. I have to say that the tail was a little dry and actually NEEDED the butter.

For dessert, we pre-ordered the Godiva lava cake. It was ok but I won't dream about it. Bad sign.

Overall it lacked ambiance. The lights were turned up pretty bright. At different times during the night people walked in wearing shorts. Really?

DISCLAIMER: we are not the type to complain about paying a lot for a good meal. This was just NOT worth it to me. AT ALL!

I do not plan on going back.

Personally, I'm convinced that a high-volume premium steakhouse chain would be hard pressed to match the caliber of a top-shelf local steakhouse.  In the case of Morton's, I've eaten in their flagship Chicago location (long ago) and several of their local spots; there is little comparison in service or the little details which determine greatness.  Morton's in downtown Fort Lauderdale is the second best of the non-Chicago locations I've been to, and is very good (New Orleans is better).  Not 5-star good, and maybe not $130 a head good (with much wine and whiskey), but very good.  Morton's "bit" is their ten minute floor show, performed with actual meat and lobsters in an over-rehersed and mechanical ritual.  Apparently, the waiter must finish this presentation before your order can be taken-- they get flustered if you try to speed-up the process.  The first few times it's mildly amusing, but there's a point where even the lobsters are clamoring to leave the room!  Aside from these compulsory annoyances, service is attentive without crowding.  Morton's steaks have a tender-- but more toothsome-- texture and pleasing flavor undertones, although I don't believe that they're dry aged.  If they are, the aging isn't adequate to develop the fabled "mineral" flavor notes of aging perfection.  The baked potato is absolutely massive, but well prepared.  Sides are a half-notch above the competition, in general.  Read as 3.25 stars.

Went to Morton's for my good friends birthday. I made a reservation thru yelp on open table w/ a special request, happy birthday! As we arrived the Maitre d' greeted us with great birthday wished and ushered us to our table, a cute booth! The menus were specially prited with happy birthday 'dude'. Our waitress was attentive and sweet! The maitre d' took a b-day photo and had it printed and in a mortons frame in only moments.the steaks were fresh and absolutely to die for. I had the bone in filet, absolutely divine! My company had the lobster tail & petite filet. Yum! The martini's are strong and exceptionally tasty. For dessert we had cheesecake, delish and it came with a warm birthday chorus. Overall, phenomenal dinner!

Over the years I have been to many upper end steak houses including Peter Luger's in New York. In recent years I have pretty much stayed away from " upper end" Steak restaurants because I just felt there was not much value for what you received. Last night I broke my rule and took my son to Mortons and was once again was reminded what I have always felt to be the truth. The steak that we had 12 oz strips were no better then the steak that I buy from Costco, we choose hash brown potatoes and creamed spinach a wedge salad, all for the bargain price of $ 162.00 plus tip. The service was slow and the atmosphere busy. I told my son that this dinner should be one of the best meals he will enjoy. After we left the restaurant he told me thank you but the steaks that we have at home were much better. Just needed to get this of my chest because I feel foolish for falling for the hype.

I wish I could write a better review for this place... really, I do. I was so looking forward to eating here, but it was such a letdown.

I brought my mother here for the Dine Out Lauderdale special. For $35 per person, you got a salad, filet mignon, choice of a side, and chocolate mousse for dessert. Considering the salads and side dishes are usually $11 each, and the steak alone is usually $45, this was a great deal.

Once we were seated, we asked for the Dine Out Lauderdale menu, and I'm pretty sure our service went downhill from there. In fact, the lady at the table next to us asked her waiter if Morton's was part of that special (she wasn't ordering it, she was just curious), and the waiter said, "Yeah... shhhh." So clearly we weren't very welcome.

The bread that you start out with is delicious - it's a soft onion loaf. The salad... eh. Nothing to write home about. As for the steaks, my mother ordered hers medium, while I asked for medium well. The waitress even confirmed what we wanted (medium = warm pink center, medium well = very little pink). Yet both of ours came out rare, and had to be sent back. When they brought them to the table, I cut into mine... and had to send it back again, since it was still quite underdone. My mother kept hers, and ate a few bites before getting to a thicker part of the steak which she just couldn't eat because it was too rare. A few minutes later, they brought my steak back again, and it was now medium. I wasn't going to send it back a third time, so I just dealt with it. But seriously, this is a high-end steakhouse... why can't they cook a steak correctly?

I was hoping to leave this place really impressed and wanting to come back, but sadly that wasn't to be.

Brought my soon to be wife here for her birthday.

We had a great time service was excellent. I forget our waiters name but he made great recommendations with drinks and our meal. The double filet was cooked to perfection and I cut through it like butter and the taste was amazing. The rosemary chicken was just as tasteful and tender as the filet. I'm not big on asparagus but I helped myself tonight, we asked for brocolli and they said it was taken off the menu. So where did they get the brocolli they served us? Well wherever they got it from it was superb. They put a nice touch on our menu's as well it wrote: Happy Birthday (and my girlfriends name). I will definitely come back to Morton's (hopefully soon) as I like it slightly more then The Capitale Grille and much more then Ruth Chris.

My 100th review I wanted to make it special and Morton's really stuck out in my mind as a special evening.

It's a chain, of course, and for chain steak houses in Fort Lauderdale it's pretty much of a toss up between Mortons, Capital Grille and Ruth Chris. I've spent considerable time (and money) in each of them and have pretty much come to the conclusion of a tie between Morton's (tastier steak) and Capital (better ambiance), with Ruth Chris coming in a close third with its steak being about equal but having the lesser ambiance of the three.

The secret of all three is about the same, being top grade meat, aged, and cooked at high temperatures. All three are spotlessly clean with top notch service, however Morton's edges the other two out with a better happy hour and with reduced price "bites" to eat which also repeats around 9:00PM.

First time I went to Morton's was about 12 years ago in Chicago. My first impression was wow, where have you been all my life..lol  I completely fell in love with there steak and there Mini crab cakes. Fast forward to the present and I must say the same experience I had in Chicago repeats itself in Ft. Lauderdale, nothing has changed. I have had the pleasure of taking my wife several times for special occasions and the food and the service have been right on the spot. From the moment we walk in the service has been incredible. When we have ordered our food there has been very little wait and the steaks have always been cooked to perfection. I can honestly say that we will continue to visit this location as much as possible. Morton's got it right.

I have been to this location before (several months ago), so when I went back a couple of weeks ago I was expecting good things.  Instead,I was VERY disappointed.  My girlfriend and I went on a Thursday night, it was not busy at all.  The waitress took a long time to even bring over our menus.  We spent much of the evening waiting for her to come back around to us.  We ordered our second round of dirty martinis before our main course arrived, and we did not actually get them until they brought our dessert.  Martinis and chocolate cake do not mix.  My girlfriend had the colossal shrimp, which was very good.  My steak, however, was not.  It was extremely bland, I have never had to load up my steak with so much salt and pepper before.  For a steakhouse chain that claims to have "The Best Steak Anywhere!", this was an enormous letdown. Perhaps the most absurd part of this whole evening was that I paid $250 (with tip), for such a mediocre meal.  Morton's actually sent me a feedback form, which I promptly filled out with my complaints.  That was two weeks ago and I have not heard anything since.  Customer service is obviously not something they place a great emphasis on.  I can't see myself going back to this location again.  The Capital Grille or Rare on Las Olas are much better options for steak.  There are too many good restaurants in South Florida to waste anytime on an overpriced, lackluster dining experience such as this one.

Went for the Bar Bites menu after 9:00pm and great as usual.  Had the Salmon Pizza for the first time and it was great.  My 13 year old son loves eating the chicken fingers (Morton's has a fancy name for them).  Ordered the upside down Apple Pie for dessert (it takes 45 minutes, so order ahead) and it was good but not outstanding.

Man idk if I came on an off night for a work dinner or what  but I was just not impressed. the servers seemed flustered and all over the place. sure we were a big party but you knew that. the little apps on the table were pretty good, mini crab cake which was great and other little beef nibbly things, the BV wine was tasty. we had a ceasar salad to start, however they asked if I would like anchovies, I said yes, no anchovies, tiny bits of egg and cheese, weak salad, the double cut filet was just average, lacked flavor, bernaise sauce was meh, green beans and mashed potatoes were good, and the chocolate mousse for dessert was delicious, I can't complain bc it was a paid dinner but if I would have had to pay I would not be so happy.

I've always been a fan of Morton's steakhouse regardless of location.

I recently took a customer to this location for happy hour and believe it's a great spot for a work/pleasure conversation.

The valet was quick with my car.  The waiter was very attentive.  The food came quick and as always, presented well.

The night before, I had a disappointing experience at the Blue Moon Fish Co., so i was hoping for a better experience here at Morton's or else I'd have to write off Ft. Laudey as a non-foodie town. Well, Morton's came through and saved my perception of Ft. Laudey's food scene.

Sure it's a chain, but they do some great food. I was here as part of a large group, so I only got to select from a portion of the menu, but even though they served 40+ of us at the same time, it was great.

Started off with the giant onion roll we all dove into (yummy), and followed that up with a petite filet, mashed potatoes and green beans. All good stuff and cooked perfectly. Key lime pie was my dessert, and while it wasn't anything over the top, it was a solid finish to a great meal.

Everyone seems to have an opinion on which steak house chain is their favorite. I have eaten at quite a few national chains (Smith & Wollensky, The Palm, Ruth's Chris, Capital Grill, etc.) but have lived in locales where a Morton's is present and have never been disappointed when I visit.

The Morton's Fort Lauderdale opened one year ago and since then I have been fortunate to dine there on quite a few occasions for dinner and when they are open for special lunches. The quality of meats cooked to perfection, the delicious sides (particularly the incredible mac and cheese), the club room steak house decor, and sincere friendly service always leave me satisfied.

Morton's is no cheap date, but this location has their "bar bites" menu where you can purchase $5 appetizers during happy hour which include some of the best sliders I have ever had and tender filet mignon sandwiches. My mouth is watering writing this...

Other menu highlights for me include the porterhouse steak for two and the Cajun rib eye-it is delectable. The scallops are plump and juicy, the crab cakes are all crab little filler, and I have heard the seafood mac and cheese is out of this world. The chicken christopher is garlicky and buttery dish for the non-red meat eater as well. One final favorite is simply the onion bread served at every table-it is crusty and chewy with the perfect amount of onion flavor.

I understand that some people will disagree with this review and maintain that their favorite steakhouse chain is "the best", but all I am saying is that Morton's does steak right and for me, having this place local is a real treat.

I know it's late but wanted to tell you about visit on Valentines Day this year.  3 couples all decided to have dinner together - my first time there.  All started well - great Valet Parking - nice welcome.  We were early so sat at bar and ordered Pomegranate Martini - excellent!  rst of group arrived so we went in to dinner.  Table next to kitchen - OK - not perfect but alright.  Othere people ordered a drink special - Passion fruit something or other - I ordered another Martini.  Drinks arrived all looked the same - more like a dessert with whipped cream on the top.  "Where is my Pomegranate Martini?" - the response - "The bartender thought you would like this better"!!! No - I would like a Pomogranate Martini just like the one I just had - OK - so waiter trots off and comes back with same drink with cream scooped off.
So now waiter takes appetizer orders OK  fairly lengthy wait - then comes back with pad and pen to retake the order.  So we go through that again.
Order more drinks - friend orders "Lemon Drop" cocktail.  Comes with frosting around the rim - should be sugar - it was salt! - that goes back.

We ordered variety of steaks yummmy.  Partner orders medium - arrives Blue.  Request it to be cooked more.  Think they are doing a favor by serving a new steak instead of previous cokked more - second steak arrives exactly same as first - Blue.
Go to Manager to explain situation - sends steak back - they cube it up and cook it more - now we have steak chunks.  In fairness they did comp the steak.  But overall the experience was not great.  Was fairly busy but not overwhelmed so not sure what gives.  Not worth the money and have not ventured back

More fantastic fine dinning comes to Ft. Lauderdale. The Morton salad is to die for(a meal in itself). The crab cake, scallops and filet were perfect. The hot chocolate cake is a legend in itself. We had to bring home the other desserts. The only suggestions: a: squeeze the baked potatoes when they come out of the oven in order to fluff them b. don't serve rock hard butter
