I dont know how one can improve on perfection, but it seems My Hookah has done so. I am a regular of My Hookah and can tell you first hand you will have a great experience, whether out on a date, a night out with the boys or a girls night out.
I walked in last night and ordered one of many premium hookah tobaccos, and as always I got my hookah fix... But I noticed some small pager like object on all the tables and the waitress, (always polite with prompt service), explained to me they are pagers that customers use when you need the server. This new addition to My Hookah makes ordering or asking for your check much easier. If you need charcoal you press a button, if you want to pay your bill you press a button, and the waitress gets notified by the main screen.... How cool is that. No more looking for your waitress or people yelling across the room asking for their check. I frequent many restaurants and hookah joints and have never seen these pagers. Thats why My Hookah ranks #1 in my book as the best Hookah Cafe in Chicago, the owner spends money on his place and is always looking to improve any aspect one can improve on. I dont think My Hookah can get any better than it already is.. But everytime I go to My Hookah I am amazed that it does get better. My Hookah is getting better day by day and I am grateful to be a part of it, and seen with my eyes how it has grown to become a hookah smokers utopia.

I love coming here on week nights with my boyfriend and  friends:) I recommend sitting in the booths on the side because the couches are so comfy! When we were there I had the blueberry mist hookah and it was yummy!! Also you can play UNO with friends lol and eat good hummus and chips.. I will definitely come back! This place is great for hanging out with friends and noticed there was lots of guys who like to play card games:)

My first time there was pretty decent. The  place was traditional and had some really good hookah but the service was slow. Our waiter wasn't very attentive and often was nowhere to be found. it was really difficult to identify who worked here and who was a customer. However, the owner was really nice and attentive.  Seeing the owner helping out, cleaning up tables herself and interacting with the customers showed her dedication to her business and the satisfaction of her customers. I only wish my friends had enjoyed it a bit more but it was a little too traditional for them.

first, i just wanted to say that i am an avid hookah smoker. own 2 myas, smoke daily (i know its bad), and have been to pretty much every lounge from san jose to san francisco (bay area resident), so my credibility with rating hookah lounges is about as good as it gets. you may as well call me the Roper and Eiper for hookah.

I visited this place for the first time twice while on thanksgiving vacation with my girlfriend (her family is from chicago). Their menu is extremely extensive which is a huge plus, and very organized, tobacco is sorted by brand and they have a lot of brands/flavors.

price was pretty good, 14 for a hookah and 6 for a re-fill. had some good teas/drinks at a reasonable price as well. allowed drinks/food from outside.

reason im not giving it 5 stars, is because they use the 3 kings coals.. for those who dont know, the 3 kings is a circular goal that does not give a great smoke because it burns, but doesnt dissipate a ton of heat, and also ashes and smells. if they used natural wood coals or coconut coals, this lounge would be a true 5. it has a lot of potential.

I have been to one too many places of Hooka venues in Chicago and all around the world and to say that this place is simply amazing would be a lie.  Strictly Chicago specific, and more importantly...strictly North Chicagoland specific...this place is indeed a 4 star.

They sell/serve Fumari Tobacco, which is good quality stuff...that says a lot.  And to think that these guys sell hookah for 16 bucks, which is enough for 2 people for an hour is a good price.  On MON and TUE it is 8 bucks.  There is an opton for 12 bucks for another tobacco, but why bother.

The drink selections are great - Tazo Ice Tea, all sorts of soft drinks, IBM Root Beer, etc...pretty good.

Coffe was not great.  Service is alright, but it was not busy when we went.  I'm afraid if we had gone when it was super busy, I'm assuming service will be deplorable.

Overall, alright place...I would go here again.

Edgware Road, London circa Fall 2009: some of my fondest memories of my extended business trip to the UK occurred on this street when my newfound friends and I would partake in some fantastic Middle Eastern cuisine and shisha the night away.

When I got back to Chicago, my problems were twofold: I didn't have any friends who I knew who loved to hookah, and I wasn't sure of any good hookah places. Fast forward 2 years, and I've found a group of friends who love to hookah and now that I've learned of My Hookah Cafe, I can finally continue to enjoy good company around a good hookah.

My Hookah Cafe is a large space with a really relaxed atmosphere. They have Fumari which has proven to be some of the best tobacco I've come across here or abroad - very smooth. The staff here are very friendly and accomodating! One of the reasons why we love to go back frequently.

There seems to be an abundance of Hookah places around the city both new and old, but if you're ever up north and confused at the options, definitely check out My Hookah Cafe, but don't be surprised if you become a regular!

My wife and I used to go to hookah lounges a few years back as we enjoyed the chill atmosphere. But our go-to place started having bad service and other problems. We couldn't find a replacement and just stopped going to hookah lounges. After coming back from Miami and checking out hookah lounges there, we heard of this place from friends and decided to check it out. We liked it so much that we came back a couple days later.  Here are some highlights and tips to this place.

On Mondays and Tuesdays, you can get your own hookah for $6-8 which is a great deal.

The service was the best I've had at a hookah lounge.

This is a great place to hang out with your friends, especially if they like to smoke cigars and drink. It's BYOB: $3 for beer and wine, $5 for hard liquor. Don't forget to bring your receipt as well showing that you purchased the alcohol.

They have several TVs which are turned to sports.  You can ask the server to change the channel if no one is already watching what's currently on.

Out of the several flavors we tried, the white peach was the clear winner.  Very smooth with great flavor.

This has been our go-to place on the North Shore for a chill night with friends.  They have a ton of comfy couches, big card tables, and private booths.  They have several big screen TVs that will play what ever you ask (as long as no one else is watching, of course.)  They have a HUGE assortment of tobacco including some hard hitting stuff that is not for amateurs.  I would consider myself a seasoned hookah smoker and this stuff nearly laid me out!  The owners are great at making suggestions and have special house blends available.

You can BYOB for a $5 corking fee.  You can buy mixers here or bring your own.  They even have a small assortment of middle eastern food catered to their location in case you get the munchies during the night ;-)

Every time I've been here it has been a great experience.  After the first couple of visits the wait staff has remembered us and welcomed us back each time!  The servers usually leave you alone after you get your bowl situated so you have to track them down-- but it is no problem.  They are very polite and have even offer us a complimentary bowl for our table from time to time.

Not too many places in the area let you smoke, eat, and drink with your friends and spend less than $30 a person by the end of the night (including the BYOB.)  Major bonus: Parking is free on the street!!!

Nice, cozy, friendly, clean.... They've gained a new fan..it's that simple.

During the week their min is $7 per person I think, which is reasonable... 1 of the managers (woman) talked to us for a while, she was very personable... The couches are comfy and the setup is nice..The bathrooms are a clear example of a woman owner - clean, has many lotions, diodarent, hair spray, and candles :-).

I like the setting of this place, and the guys are nice but the waitresses are snobby and not pretty at all. I recommend it but don't expect great service.

Biggest plus are the little private booths with the really low couches, if they had more pillows it would have been absolutely perfect and more authentic.

    It's an overall good experience.

I've been to this place twice now, and I have to give it a "middle of the road" review. I don't think it's the best place I've been, but by far not the worst. They do a decent job at giving a nice comfortable chill back sort of feel, but still much room for improvement. My all time favorite place was SIGARA which closed sometime last year...I was devastated to say the least! I have not found another Hookah bar that has compared in price and location as SIGARA did, but from the places I've been....My Hookah Cafe is runner up (for now!)

I do wish their beverage list was a little more extensive from the small soft drink and tea selection they have. 3 stars for now....keep working at it My Hookah Cafe, you have tons of room for improvement.

nice calm atmosphere! the waitress is always attentive..i like the big screen tv's and the comfy couches they offer, but usually lean towards the private seating..i don't like that fact that don't always play music tho..sometimes they play sports on the tv with the sound from the games..blaaaaaaaah..i dislike sporting events on the television sorry!

I went today with a friend and I loved it! Great selection of shishas and great seating! Love the big screen tv's and wifi! Will definately come back! Good place to come alone (Ive seen people come here alone and just read/work) to homework and stuff. My Hookah Cafe has good friday/saturday night atmosphere. I came here after clubbing. FUN.

Ive been to a lot of hookah places and the environment is mainly the reason i go right along with the best hookah flavors. This place is great. People are cool, prices are much more reasonable, and music is great, By the way last time i sat next to a 70 something inch projector and watched beautiful arabic girls.

Must check this place out!  Yes they do require a dress code, but I think thats great since it weeds out some of the bad crowd.    There basic hookah package comes with a high quality tobacco, unlike other hookah shops that give the stuff thats burns quickly.  Only been there once but am definately looking forward to go there again.  Also make sure you bring your ID because they do card at the door.
