Great noodles. Legitimately spicy.
Listen, the people who run Noodle N Thai have done a nice job with a not so great space. Some of the servers don't speak very good English but provide very good service in all the ways that actually matter (topping off your tea, being prompt and courteous). I always consider the condition of the bathroom something of an indicator of what the restaurant is like at it's core. If it's clean that means an owner who cares about the small things and employees who don't hate their jobs enough to actually clean the bathroom. If the bathroom is bad, well, maybe not a great place for employees and maybe for food safety etc. Anyway, great clean bathroom here!
I finally got around to giving this place another whirl for lunch. Â I ordered the red curry and this time convinced the waitress that I really and truly wanted it "hot." Â Service was prompt and pleasant. Â They delivered on the heat, but I wasn't otherwise impressed. Â The amount of meat was skimpy, the curry was watery (did they use "lite" coconut milk?), and I didn't find the complement of veggies (only bamboo shoots & bell peppers) terribly exciting. Â For $8, I got full enough on a portion that Kuraya used to serve up with better sauce for $6.50. Â Boy do I miss that place. Â Ta Ra Rin, now in Kuraya's old space, is superior for the same price.
