I'm sure many other restaurants in this area appreciate your patronage.  The Pour House does not.  They did not honor their own Yelp coupon saying it was a "holiday" because of the street fair. There were no signs posted regarding this, and per the coupon, we were not attempting to combine it with any other specials or offers (because there weren't any).

In reality, the coupon would have only amounted to a few dollars.  But that's not the point.  When a manager incredulously tells you "this is the only day out of 365 that we don't accept coupons," you really question their integrity, and that of their establishment.

Otherwise - food was passable, service was barely sufficient and noise, on this Sunday afternoon, was way too high as most people had to shout across their tables above the blaring music.

As the manager proudly pointed out, "we're a regulars bar."  All others need not apply.

Went to Nyack today on a fluke and coincidentally the street fair was going on...yay! I love street fairs!!!!!  As I was walking around, someone who worked at the pour house gave me a menu with a coupon attached to it for a free appetizer.  The menu looked pretty decent so my boyfriend and I decided to give it a try.

When we got there they put us at a table right next to the door and since there was outdoor seating because of the street fair, servers were going in and out letting all the hot air in.  Funny thing about this was that there were tons of tables in the back where it's at least 20 degrees cooler. Yes, I could of asked to move but we already ordered, which brings me to my next point.

Half the stuff that was on the menu that was given with the coupon was not on their normal menu!!!  Wound up ordering a bacon cheeseburger which was actually really tasty.  Probably the best thing about my visit.

Waitress was nice, but she was kind of slow.  The one thing that really annoyed me was when she finally came back to pick up the credit card after dropping off the check, she took an order and went to another table before running the card, making us wait even longer. Surprised she didn't lose it in the process.

Overall, there are probably so many better places in the area, so I don't think I will be returning anytime soon. Oh and I also didn't use the coupon.

THEY LOST MY CREDIT CARD AND BLAMED IT ON ME.  MORON BARTENDERS.

I was surprised that the bartender, at 6pm on a Sunday night, with only 3 other tabs going, could somehow find a way to lose my friggin credit card... but somehow it happened.

I opened a tab with my card, we had 2 rounds of drinks, I asked to close out the tab... and then the fun began.  He said he couldn't find my card.  I laughed and said OK please look again since I gave it to you when you first took our order.

He looked for about 2 minutes and returned to say "No disrespect, but I don't have your card."  Haha that's fun to hear from a 21 year old moron who clearly has bartending and customer service down to a perfect science.  I asked why he would give us 2 rounds of drinks if I never gave him a credit card... and all that got was his face to turn red.

We watched him and his younger, highly-experienced manager mumble quietly to each other for about 5 awkward minutes...  occasionally poking around the register for my card.  Never really apologizing, but instead asking me to "check my pockets".

    Ultimately:
    1) We left without paying.
    2) They were left convinced it was an elaborate scam to get the 4 of us free cheap drinks on a Sunday night like a bunch of wandering gypsis.
    3) I will get my new business debit card conveniently in 4-5 business days.

Thanks moron bartender and moron manager of the Pour House!!!  Good luck with your lives.  Not sure how you've made it this far so successfully.

    Lunch on a Saturday afternoon.

Plenty of TV's and the hostess sat my party in front of the two biggest tv's they had.

Monterey Ranch Chicken Wrap - great balance between temperature/taste and portion size. I was quite happy they didn't drown it with ranch dressing.

Sweet Potato Waffle Fries - lightly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside was perfect for me.

My friends really enjoyed their Reuben sandwiches and Cajun Fries.

The tap water tasted funny. I am not sure how to describe it. Maybe the water is harder in Nyack vs  NYC tap water. Perhaps I'm used to carrying my own filtered water.

    I would come back again.

Popular spot for late night that draws a sketchy crowd

It's what you expect from a bar when you go out at midnight; expensive drinks, a lot of people, music, and dancing. The sad part is that it also brings in a lot of people that you don't want to be there. Within 5 minutes of arrival during my last visit a huge fight broke out. If you stay long enough, on nearly every occasion a fight will occur. I guess that's just how the Nyack scene is these days.

Other than that, they do have a lot of massive TV's to show the games. The bartenders are generally very quick to get your drink. However, I've never had the food.

It's one of the more popular spots for locals, so if you're looking for something more low-key you might want to try elsewhere on a friday/saturday night. The crowd can be a lot of Jersey Shore wannabes who are looking to "WOOO!!"-out on busy nights, but the drinks are good, pretty regularly priced, and the food is decent for a bar. If you're looking for a night out on the town check it out, but I wouldn't recommend it if you're looking for a more mature crowd.

We went to Pour House to chill and have a glass of wine and got more than we bargained for.  What a nice place to visit.  The bar tender was the sweetest.  Great jukebox as well so music was flowing throughout.

Stopped in last night because the hostess gave us a coupon for a free appetizer. I was there with my son and his friend. The waitress told us we could only get the free app with an entree. That was no problem since my son got one (he showed her the coupon). Our app was "Irish Nachos" which consisted of french fries covered in some kind of white cheese and a sprinkling of bacon. It included a 1/4 cup of both sour cream and salsa. This arrived at the table 20 minutes after we ordered it, someone from the kitchen put it on the table. We had no knives of forks so i had to get that that guy to give us some utensils.
I also got a dinner salad which was fine except they put it in a dish which is one of those bowls that sits on one side and it kept tipping. When our entrees came out each of us had regular fries (a lot of potatoes) and the waitress brought this. She put it on the table (practically every plate put in the wrong place) and disappeared without getting a bottle of ketchup for us. I had to get one from a nearby table. She returns in about ten minutes for the typical "how are things" question and I tell her I want an iced tea. About ten minutes later I see the hostess and tell her about my iced tea request and she says she'll get the waitress to get it. She comes back and says they are brewing a new batch. The waitress brings it and says the reason it took so long is they were brewing it. It tasted like typical store bought pre-made iced tea.
My wrap with salmon and a Caesar dressing had about 2-3 oz. of salmon and plenty of lettuce and extra salty dressing. In addition to the lettuce in the wrap they thoughtfully included a mound of plain shredded lettuce on the plate. My son and his friend thought their food was ok. When the bill came the app was included in the bill. I chased down the waitress and told her about it and she said we should have told her about the coupon. I said she was the one who pointed out that we had to get an entree from the "entree page" of the menu. So she says "do you want me to void your credit card charge?" At this point I just wanted to leave and never step foot in this place again. I guess when you go to eat at a restaurant called "Pour House" the food is not their main focus. Neither is a wait staff with any interest in being available to your table.

My friends and I stopped by this place after hiking Bear Mountain.  It was a beautiful day and we just wanted to sit outside and have a drink.  We asked a cop for his suggestion and he pointed us to Pour House.  The guys got a martini w/ a corona and the presentation made many passerbys ask them what that was all about.  2 out of 3 enjoyed it and 1 thought it was too sweet.  Seems like they were fine w/ their burgers, but nothing out of the ordinary.  As for the 2 girls, we got the sheapard's pie and mac n cheese.  the sheapard's pie was the best i ever had and i've tried MANY.  I think what did it was 1) angus beef and 2) using cream of corn.  The pasta for the mac and cheese was al dente and the some of the cheese was perfectly crispy.  i got their strawberry daiquiri and while i liked it a lot, i only had 1/4 of it b/c it was SO good yet SO bad as i didn't taste any of the liquor!  the only odd thing about it was that they added whip cream to the top.  the service was decent.  i'm not sure if the food took awhile or we were just hungry.  I would go back if we're in the area.

OK, been back a couple of times since the first visit. The food was actually pretty decent with competent, friendly service.  I recently had the appetizer sampler, fish and chips, and a burger.   All were fine.

The food here is alright bordering on pretty bad. I ordered a vegetarian burger here and it was unsatisfactory. The service is great, the waitresses and the bouncer are really nice people for which I give it an extra star. For the food alone, I would say two stars. As for the alcohol, I just had a beer and a friend had three drinks. The prices are absurd here. The drinks are really expensive for what they give you. Overall, might be better to come here only during happy hour and to avoid their food. Good thing is, they have outdoor seating for good weather and the service is great.

While I don't normally like coming here for a night out, I came here the other night for drinks after dinner with a few friends and I actually head a good time. This was before it got crowded though, which is probably why. We all ordered their specialty drinks -- I shared the Blue Hawaiian with my friend. The drink consisted of blue curacao (sold), rum, other liquids (I think), and a faced down Corona. While it wasn't better than my favorite Bulldog Margarita at Blockheads, I still enjoyed it. I'd definitely come back (pre-raging timeframe) if I'm in the mood for more than a beer or a boring vodka tonic.

Went here last night for dinner, we had a party of 6 and they were quick to push two tables together for is (it was a monday night and virtually empty except for the bar) food was good, exactly what is expected, burgers wraps compile the majority of the menu. their nachos are a MUST they are so delicious and next time i would get just that for myself. very very yummy! everyone seemed to enjoy their meals of mostly burgers. the cajun fries are good but seems like they were a little heavy handed with the shaker, far too salty
overall it is good for what is to be expected of a bar and pub food.

I only go here to eat, but have had pretty good experiences in that regard.  The service is friendly, but disorganized.  The burgers are quite good, but somehow, seem to always come out well done, no matter how you order them.  What really makes up for their defficiencies are their Monster buffalo chicken nachos.  Absolutely delicious, and the best I have had anywhere!

Good selection of beer. The wings were good but "fire"? Not exactly what I call spicey and hot to be honest. The mac & cheese with bacon was good.

Never ate there but the drinking is always fun and the bartenders are fun as well. Great place to dance with my girlies and not end up in any trouble at the end of the night.

    NEVER AGAIN!!

I know this place is hated in Nyack because of all the chaos it causes at night but I had been here during the afternoon before and had ok pub food and I try to support local business.

I arrived with my group (8 people) and there was one other table of five in the place when we placed our order.

Our server was sweet but took our order, brought our drinks but then sat at the bar and ate a burger.

After about 30 minutes, we started to be upset and looked around for our server but she had disappeared. We had children with us and they were starting to bounce off the walls with boredom and hunger. When we complained to the bartender after about 30 minutes he never apologized -first he looked up what time our order was placed and had the nerve to say it's been 25 not 30 minutes. Then he said, "We are really busy and we only have one cook and only one fryer working today so you gotta be patient."  Really ???  At this time there were 3 tables seated for a total of 15 people in the place and 2 loud drunks at the bar.

He also said our server was hiding in the kitchen because she was embarrassed at how long things were taking.

When we said to cancel our order - we were leaving, our food started to fly out of the kitchen and it was total crap. Soggy fries, wrong sandwich, burned food...

When the bill came, they did cover two drinks and an appetizer plate, which was nice, but still I will never go back.

Great spot to watch a game....if the right bartender is there. I've sat at the bar, with maybe 2 people in the place besides me, with an empty glass while the bartender sat on her phone or did the dishes. I couldn't have asked to be help often enough, then she stiffs me on buy-backs. FAIL. Don't remember her name, but she was horrid. The guys that are back there are great though. The food, regular pub-fare. Nothing you can't find elsewhere really.  I too expected with the name "Pour House" for this to be a place with great beers, sadly it is just another lame bar. Ironically, it was Black Bear down the street that got in trouble for underaged drinking yet this place lets 18 year olds in there regularly.

UPDATE: I figured out it was actually the owner that gave such horrible service; sad.  I've been back in a few times since and sadly whenever I'm stuck with her getting my drinks, she's added things to the bill which I've caught each time.  All I get is an 'oops, my baaaaaad'.  I'll save the profanity for a different venue but you get my point.  Every other server has treated me with respect and its a damn shame that the owner can't do the same.

I'm surprised by the previous reviewers' comments.  Although a sports bar, I think this place has a much more chill, relaxed vibe than the (*coughBlack Bear*) meatmarket down the street.  We were looking for a place in Nyack to get some drinks, dinner and to hang out.  The staff has always been helpful, friendly and relatively quick.  We were pleasantly surprised to find The Pour House.

My veggie burger was OUTSTANDING!!! It is so hard to find a good veggie burger, and not only do they have one - they give you options!  I ordered mine with feta and sauteed onions. Phenomenal!  I can taste it right now. So mouthwatering.  We also ordered potato wedges and onion rings on the side -- I don't know which was better.  Sure, this is standard pub fare, but their food is waaaaaay better than 90% of standard pubs (and I've sampled my share.)

Food was so good that I craved it for two straight weeks before dragging my fiance back for more.  And now that I'm thinking about it, maybe we'll make The Pour House our dinner spot tonight!

It's a little unfair for me to review this because my boyfriend and I have been dying for a place that has many taps of local or micro brews (ODs does a decent job, but they're the only game in town, really).  We'd already kind of decided that this is what we wanted the Pour House to be.  Sigh.  It wasn't.

What the Pour House actually is: a sportsbar.  Given, Nyack doesn't have a designated sportsbar - all the bars have TVs, but none have the dedication that the Pour House seems to have put into being a sportsbar.  So, they fill that niche.  The food was standard pub fare and they had a particularly good special on two-for-one beers that night.  Note: standard beers, no local or unusual taps when we were there.  So, if you want baseball and $5 buckets of Bud, this is your place.  Otherwise, get your food, your local brews or your atmosphere elsewhere.

For the folks who visit Nyack on the weekends: the extra-good drink specials combined with this place's massive floor space and excessively long bar (and lots of room for tables and chairs), will probably make this a good stop if you're on the pub crawl/meatmarket scene.
