Oasis Cocktail Lounge

I'm giving this place five stars because I know how these sites work.  If I give it the one star that it deserves then this post will be deleted.  I went there a couple of week ago and it was a so so place. Nothing great but then as we were leaving this guy attacked another guy.  It was not a fight, he just hit this other guy with a bottle and then took off.  They left the guy on the ground but why I give this place one star is the fact that the bartender refused to call the cops or the ambulance for this guy who was assaulted.  He had to call himself. I later found out that he was a regular.   I'm never going in that place if that's how they treat their "regulars".

Love this place! Went there for Saturday night karaoke. Sang a bit of Springsteen, then realized this crowd loves to party and sang some Kesha (they were generous to me on both counts). They have virtually any song you want that was ever played on mainstream radio; they had "maps" by the yeah yeah yeahs (what? yes.) The karaoke man has a beautiful voice, as do many of the regulars. By 12:30, an all out dance party erupted. They serve their mixed drinks in small plastic cups. Cash only, but there's an ATM that charges a $2.50 service fee. Reminds me of the bars in my hometown in NH.

Karaoke on Thursday nights.
Order a Budweiser and a shot of Jack. Then order another.
Bum a Newport and puff on the porch with a Vietnam vet.

The only reason for losing a star is that there are no late night munchies available to accompany a belly full of whiskey. Not sure if the kitchen closes early or doesn't exist at all...but generally around 11:30pm, Tommy want wingy.
