LOVE this place!  Healthy delicious food for a reasonable price that is nice inside!  Just wish it stayed open later on weekends.

I've had lunch at Oliver Cafe twice now with a client in the area.  The first time, I thought the place was pretty good.  I really should have taken notes like I saw another Yelper do one time because you tend to forget the food if you don't write your reviews right away.  I know, tsk tsk.  But life comes at you fast sometimes, ya know!

I think the first time I had the Ahi Tuna Wrap <a href="http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/oliver-cafe-lounge-beverly-hills?userid=muK3bAO2dRwP79SBnppQ5g#fI5xG23WHms9yOTJuOd9nA">http://www.yelp.com/biz_…</a> and the Organic Kale Cranberry Apple Salad <a href="http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/oliver-cafe-lounge-beverly-hills?userid=muK3bAO2dRwP79SBnppQ5g#VPHQ5lPJANAK-0GwwGvlfA">http://www.yelp.com/biz_…</a>.  The wrap was simply delicious. It wasvVery savory and hands down a great choice for a meal.  The salad was a complete winner in my book as well!  So fresh and tasty.  The honey lime mint dressing really gave the salad a nice zing.  I'd definitely order this again.  The combination was excellent!

On my second visit however, I wasn't really keen on what I had.  I had split a Chipotle Barbecue Chicken salad with my friend.  We were toying with this or the Chicken Curry salad.  We asked our server what she thought, which, looking back, might have been a wrong idea.  Not to be stereotypical but she was Latina and said she really liked the Chipotle Barbecue Chicken which is why we went with that.  Upon eating it, I thought the salad was not very flavorful and that the chipotle sauce was somewhat bland.  I should have gone with my gut and ordered the Chicken Curry but I'll know better next time.

    <a href="http://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=74iW3zO1dHNIEW3Sl24XJw&userid=muK3bAO2dRwP79SBnppQ5g">http://www.yelp.com/user…</a>

We also split the Chipotle Chicken wrap which sounded very appetizing when reading the ingredients on the menu.  However, this also fell flat in that it was not very flavorful.  Again, I was not wowed by the chipotle sauce flavor as I thought it was too mild.  I had to resort to dipping my sandwich in some of the dressing for the salad to increase its flavor value.  Disappointing.

    <a href="http://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=HDwFOHc2vbsyn4P6Hff-_w&userid=muK3bAO2dRwP79SBnppQ5g">http://www.yelp.com/user…</a>

The servers were friendly and attentive enough but the dishes here are hit and miss so you really have to know what to order to be satisfied with your meal.  Based on that, if I were to return, I would order what I had ordered on my first visit for sure because those were seriously some good eats.  Definitely skip the chipotle anything because you will be disappointed.

I'm writing this review as I sit at the bar watching the bartender run around this tiny cafe/lounge greeting people and taking their orders... I'm the only black guy here at the moment, the only person sitting at the bar and not one person has acknowledged me yet after waiting 5 minutes. I really hope race isn't the issue but I can't blame it on them being busy neither because including me, there's only 8 ppl in here dining and there's a waiter, waitress and two bartenders on staff.

Bartender closes one tab and returns back to the table to return their card.... Bartender comes back to close another check and hands me a menu and I order a Stella... A waitress came to put in an order for a table, looks at me then smiles... A man who could've been a table busser came behind the bar and asked if I have been helped and I advised I've ordered a Stella and is waiting for it... Bartender comes back to close another party of two and realizes he never gave me my Stella so he finally does... exactly 20 minutes after my arrival sitting at the bar.

My lunch break was only 30 minutes smh. Nobody cares!

My favorite place for a fruit protein shake. The peanut butter chocolate banana protein shake is the best! Yumm
I've had the food here before for lunch and it was okay. Nothing amazing. If you are a health freak it will be perfect for you :)

The location was really hard to spot while driving. We had to park and walk around in order to spot the cafe. Once inside, we were the only people there. The food wasn't spectacular, mostly flavorless and the service was just OK.

Amazing ahi salad!  The service is top notch.  For a nice Beverly Hills lunch this is the place to go. Its never over crowded and the food is always amaing.  The price is also affordable which is rare in this part of town for quality food.

I have had lunch at Oliver Cafe several times and I guess I must just be lucky because my experiences at this restaurant have always been positive. The most disappointment thing I've experienced is that they couldn't give us Proseco by the glass so, oh darn, we had to settle for sparkling wine instead.

I have had something different at each visit and I find the food to be fresh and tasty. The service has been good -- not necessarily great, but definitely good. The lunch prices are fair, especially for Beverly Hills, and there are many dishes to choose from

Maybe I'll just stick to lunch and skip happy hour and dinner since it seems that the unhappy reviews appear to be from the experiences of after dark diners.

This place is very vanilla to me.

Food is ok. Not poor, not great, just ok. Service is a little below average. Their owner walks around grumpy and his pissy attitude rubs off on the staff and makes it a little uncomfortable for the customers. It's sad b/c with better management, this place would be cranking out business and be getting the 5 stars. When they are a little busy, expect to wait 20+ minutes for a refill or service.

It is a little pricey for the quality of food and service. Not the first place I would choose to spend my $$ on dinner; however, if you just want a happy hour drink and a snack with a fun atmosphere, I'd recommend it.

Not a date/dinner place. I'll be back for a drink as I wait for my table at a nearby restaurant.

    One of my new favs.
I love a posh restaurant, and Oliver manages to be highly-stylish yet still casual. In other words, a perfect place to dine day or night in Beverly Hills.

When I saw they had a low calorie menu, I knew I was in love. The food was presented beautifully and the drinks were awesome and very pretty. Everything tastes super fresh.

Also, this tiny-circular jem is a refurbished old bank vault - that's somehow very cool.

I wanted to like this place so bad - a lot of things on their menu sound absolutely scrumptious. However, I had the "Lake Superior White Fish", which comes with roasted fresh tomatoes, fresh spinach, roasted garlic pinot grigio sauce, jasmine rice and steamed vegetables, and it was average at best. The fish was soggy and soaked and flavorless, and the vegetables were really sad and flavorless as well. The best part of my meal was the brown rice, and that's just not a good thing.

I'd come back to try other things, because there's a lot on their menu that sounds good (miso soup poached salmon? YEAH!) but it's definitely not anywhere near the top of my list.

I can't speak to their happy hour which I've heard pretty good. I was here for a lunch with coworkers. I'm going with two stars. Not the worst I've had but I was disappointed.  Some other reviewers are correct. The food is not very good, nor is it the healthy choice that they advertise.  My mixed green salad was bathed in dressing.
Service was slow too. They served us our water and tea when we were first seated, but when we said we needed another minute to decide, we didn't see him again for 10-12 minutes.  This is not someplace to go if you have an just an hour for lunch.

    Eff this place.  Seriously.

I've been here three times, but twice have been turned away, so I've only actually eaten here once.

When we moved nearby, I saw this place had all night happy hour.  Nice.  Well, not really.

First visit - The service sucked, the drinks were okay, and the food was average at best.  But hell, this place is walking distance to home and happy hour with great drink prices goes all night, so I can deal.

Second visit - The website says they close at 10:30pm, so one Friday night we decided to hit it up around 9:45 for some drinks and snacks.  The unfriendly waitress denied us entry because apparently they close at 10pm.  I let her know their website says 10:30.  She couldn't have cared less.  It's over a month later and it still says 10:30...

Third and FINAL visit - We decided to give it one more shot, this time at 9pm to ensure we got served.  I mean, all three times there were at most two tables with people, so you'd think they'd welcome paying customers in with open arms.  Not so much.  Same unfriendly waitress as second visit "greeted" us - er, nastily informed us the kitchen closed at 9:30pm, so they're only serving drinks.  It was 9:05... "Oh, well sometimes they close it a few minutes before 9:30."

That's cool.  This place sucks.  We'll take our money elsewhere.

BEWARE: this place is run by an angry tyrant &, should you have the misfortune of encountering him, don't even think about making an absurd request such as:
-moving to a different table than the one he randomly selects for you
-asking for a refill of your lemonade
-making any sort of minor modification to the dish you're ordering

he forbids all of these things & more. why he is in the business of guest service, no one knows. the customer is always right is NOT something he subscribes to. the servers are unenthused & sloppy in their work, which may also be a reflection of the poor management they are subjected to. the only ray of light among the front of house staff is the server assistant who always has a smile & a friendly demeanor.

also gotta second the reviewer who mentioned that "not all things on the menu are actually healthy, although they want you to think that it all is." their claim to fame is a "fat free, splenda made tiramisu" that rumor has it contains manufacturer's cream, real sugar, full fat cookies, hershey's syrup & other less-than-good-for-you indulgences. their chicken entree, penne pasta dish & warm shrimp salad CLEARLY contain 1/3-2/3 cup of real butter despite their claims that they are "less than 650 calories, low in fat, high protein & endorsed by their registered dietician. their other "healthy" salads are drenched in dressing, topped with bacon & cheese & portioned WAY too big. i am not an expert nutritionist, but as an educated eater it is clear to me that they are touting claims that are untrue.

there are more than a few shady dealings going on here, which any watchful observer or even slightly discriminating guest will be able to pick up on upon visiting this cafe. save yourself the trouble, the calories & the guilt you'll have should you choose to support someone who does not appreciate the guests that walk in the door of their business & steer far clear of this establishment.

Food was delicious, HOWEVER, the service was very poor.

I normally give servers the benefit of the doubt ( I've worked in  the food industry) but the server forgot our order, rarely attended to us in the 2 hours we were there, and got upset that a table of 5 people needed separate checks (rolled her eyes/sighed) just purely rude...

If your choose to go to this establishment, patience is a must.

Shout out to Dylan, who kept me company a bunch of nights while waiting for my wife to finish exercising at LA Sports Club. Haven't been since I moved away from Beverly Hills last September (so don't know if things have changed since Equinox took over)

Just a word of caution, not all things on the menu are actually healthy (although they might want you to think that it all is) so I'd recommend asking the waitresses if Dylan is working and then ask him for his recommendations.

It's actually a fun place to be and if you stick around for a drink or two you can strike up some good conversations or watch whatever game is on tv.

This place has an awesome Pastrami Panini that's surprisingly not bad for you. So far everything that I've tried here was great.. The chicken & Cheese enchiladas...bomb.com But the real story here is the parking attendant over @ 9595. When I first got there he told me that I can park there for equinox parking. When I went inside the club they couldn't validate my parking (wrong garage of course). So when I get back to the car... lets say.. 10 minutes, the parking cover was $10.. TEN HOT ONES!! so me being the dumb ass that I am, I left my wallet at the other club in west la. Dude was cool enough to let me slide w/o paying for parking. Shout out to Ricardo Reyes!! I'm gonna buy you lunch next time.

We had the grilled salmon salad, white fish, berry smoothie, cappuccino cake, and orchid tea. The grilled salmon was amazing! The menu revolves around healthiness, which is a plus! The server/bartender was charming.

Amazingly healthy, their paninis are delicious.  I really love this place and used to go all the time when I used to work out at Sports Club.

If you like tasty healthy food you should try this place for sure I think they have some high end nutrition speacilist designing their meals and it shows!

It's a little hidden as it is on the less traversed side of Wilshire and looks like it is a part of the gym...but I would recommend this place for sure!

Excellent happy hour.  We tried this out one night, loved it, then decided to try out another nearby happy hour which didn't even come close to be as good as the happy hour here.  The best thing is the happy hour goes for hours and hours and hours!!

The beer was dirt cheap (for Beverly Hills or anywhere actually), the appies were extremely delicious on the happy hour menu, but one certainly won't fill you up, try 2 or 3.

2 of us went for lunch on Saturday and it was almost empty-had the inside all to ourselves. With the white decor and the music playing, felt that I cld be somewhere in Ibiza(!). Had the brie+avocado bruschetta which was good, the white fish which was just ok and the penne pasta with filet mignon tips which was superb-very tasty with a generous portion. Also had the frozen peanut butter cup martini which was very good indeed. Will come back again just for the pasta and martini - if nothing else!Recommended.

This place is great for Happy Hour.

The atmosphere is nice, the food is good, the portion is good, and the service is friendly.

They have lots of varieties of healthy fusion foods and their drinks are strong (from what I remembered). :P  Maybe not for others, but it was strong and good for me.  :)

    Enjoy.

Healthy, quick, and moderately priced cafe that's perfect when you're in the area!  I work across the street so I love to take advantage of Oliver when the weather is warm and sunny.

Fish tacos & Lake Superior White Fish are my favorites (from the handful I've been able to try so far).  Huge menu, so your options are endless!  And for those of you who are calorie-counters (and I know there's plenty, it's Beverly Hills...) they've noted all their healthy options with an asterisk on the menu.  Staff is friendly, street view is great, and for what you're getting in this part of town, the prices are wonderful.

Wonderful spa menu, I truly appreciate that they have many low calorie tasty options in the under 500 calorie range.

I find their "spa" sandwiches to be GOO but not GREAT, they could use some low calorie OOMPH.

Their "spa" menu pasta was terrific. A generous portion, and a fresh homemade red sauce with a nice kick - very, very tasty.

A good place to stop by. Def a fan!

The portions are excellent, the crowd is not stuffy and metered parking after 6 was a cinch! I found out about this place on restaurant dot com and came armed with a $25 off voucher for only $2!

    We  ordered:
    BRIE-AVOCADO BRUSCHETTA to start
I had the LAKE SUPERIOR WHITE FISH
and my sis had TERIYAKI SOY-CHICKEN (Vegan).

I give this 5 stars for the great value it delivers and the atmosphere was chill. They are understaffed with 1 waitress who also played hostess and server. I would rate it less if I didn't have such a killer coupon. I will definitely come back and I hope this place last through the rocky economy, good asset in the neighborhood.

oooh this place is an awesome lunch place! Attached to SportsClub LA, it's a place to eat a really delicious, filling, healthy meal. A lot of times, going out = calorie overload, but Oliver has MANY options 450-600 cals, perfect for a quick lunch with the girls. I ate the Paillard of Chicken Breast, which was herb-marinated chicken in a chardonnay garlic rosemary sauce with a healthy sized scoop of mashers and steamed veggies (no butter!). Everything was so crisp, fresh, and good, you couldn't even tell you were eating less than 650 cals. The chix was not overdone, and the beachy all white environment was fun for a sunny BevHills day. Maybe it was a slow day, but service was really fast and the waitress was pretty friendly and nice. No complaints on that front. I'd def. eat here again!

Happy Hour Review: Attached to The Sports Club LA this spa-like café serves up health conscious food and drink during their Happy Hour. So go ahead, enjoy, indulge, and feel a little less guilty about it. Oliver must have spent some time in Miami, bringing back a piece of South Beach, to give this café it's fresh and clean décor.

How do you say "Caprioska"? We still don't know, but we LOVE it! It was strength, sweet and sour muddled in one glass. Mirroring Oliver's vibe this crisp, clean and refreshing drink is a must try. You wanna get a little down and dirty? Order the "Dirty, Dirty"- a strong martini garnished with blue cheese stuffed olives...yummy mummy.

What a nice, fancy pants, euro trashy vibe place, with great service, right there in the highest end, most douchey part of BH!  I love it!  It's part of a sports club to top it off!  How unexpected.  If you're a sports fan like me, well guess what?  They have some nice TVs with games going.  All in a Euro Trashy environ!  Go figure?

For full disclosure, I must say my friend brought me here on some deal she got, that made it wayyyyy cheaper for us.  That's full disclosure.  It doesn't change the fact that the Peppercorn Steak ranks among one of the best steaks I have ever had!  I got it done Medium, like a man is supposed to!  The creamy, peppercorn sauce was ohhh so packed with peppery goodness, and the sauce was divine!  OMG!  That's right, it was so good it requires text abbreviations!

My friend had the Seared Ahi Tuna Salad with a Sweet Chili Dressing that was spicy and sweet at the same time!  I was in heaven so I didn't realize my tastebuds were on overload!

Can't decide which dish was better, they were both so good.  If I was rollin' and had the kinda dough to "make it rain", I'd be makin' it rain down at Oliver's.  Ohhhhhh Helllllll'sssss YEaaAAAhhhhHHHH!  A meal for a king!

    Good food. Interesting people.

Oliver Cafe works as a lunch location, especially if you work nearby. A nice balance of good food and a casual decor. Service was just the way I like it, quick and unobtrusive.

    Our meal:
-Rib eye penne pasta = good and meaty but I'll recommend the veggie version.
-Chicken spinach salad = fresh and perfectly sized.
-Avocado brie bruschetta = so tasty I'm going to serve it at home now.

Since I don't lunch in Beverly Hills much, the biggest impression was the clientele. Somewhat of a boys club with the blonde waitress all in casual white, I was struck by the perfectly fitted shirts and slicked back hair of the handsome men holding their meetings or catching up with buddies. Not that there wasn't a mix of people, including attractive ladies, but they are a dime a dozen in LA.

I get the feeling there will be a different vibe at dinner. We'll go find out soon.

If you work in the area it's a good lunch spot and the happy hour can be fun.  I don't think they serve free food during happy hour anymore, but the drink specials are worth it.

Lunch is pretty good.  I like their Chicken Curry Salad and their Roast Beef Panini.  There are other items that I like as well.  Not too expensive, but expect to pay about $15 to $20 for lunch.

If you're in the BH area and are looking for a nice spot this might surprise you.  I think they also finally opened up a patio section so you can sit outside and watch traffice on Wilshire.

    Get the paninis.  Trust me.

Sure, they're pretty fucking pricey for a pressed sandwich, but I've yet to have another sandwich executed as masterfully as the ones here.
The special bread they use (I'm not entirely convinced it's not a buttermilk pancake) crisps up to perfection and is the perfect canvas for their special spreads, assorted meats and cheeses.

You must, however, stick to the dining guidelines provided by the locals while at Oliver Cafe:
Order two or three glasses of wine during lunch.  Eat a quarter of your entree, push the other three quarters around.  Look horribly annoyed throughout the entire meal.

If it weren't for the turkey and brie cheese panini, I'd stab some people here.

Great lunch spot... especially when working a block away.

Quaint, clean & refreshing vibe... limited seating so earlier the better. Female servers dressed like cute tennis players =) There's a bar as well so it should make a good happy hour location. Service is great, food is great... prices are adequate. Clients are a bit pretentious but mind you this is Beverly Hills so not a complete shocker.

Recommendation:  (1) Philly Cheese Steak Panini... to DIE for!
                                       (2) If you're driving... forget about it.

I'm torn. I eat here sometimes because I work in the building, and yet...the rampant vapidity, materialism, gratuitious displays of wealth, fake boobs, and white pants are all things to which I've spent my life generally opposed.
But  the ratatouille and the tofu and vegetables are so good!
But the blondes are so fake!
But the paninis are so tasty!
But the customers are so snobby, and the waitstaff is so amateur actory-y.!
But its not that expensive and its just downstairs!
I don't know. Nothing feels real anymore.

The fact that this place is located inside of a sports club.. in Beverly Hills.. should tell you something about the food. You have to walk through the gym itself, aka past tons of sweaty men flexing, before you get to the tucked away cafe. The place itself is pretty cute, albeit small.

It's typical, health conscious "trendy" food ranging from paninis, wraps and stir fry veggies to fruit smoothies. I ordered the Miso Cold Poached Norwegian Smoked Salmon which was pretty flavorless come to think of it.. and my friend got the stiry fry, which looked like lame Chinese food.

But they do have a happy hour! But seriously. Low carb WHEATGRASS martini?? Soy Vodka?? I know you shouldn't knock it before you try it but.. uhh I'll pass thanks..

I think I'd come back if I actually worked out here.. but I would never do such thing, so.. not likely.

This is a place i frequent since its right across the street from my work.
Ive had almost everything on the menu here, and all of the items are not terrible, not nothing to rave about.  The house mixed salad is really yummy, and their paninis are tasty.  Maybe because its next to the sports club, but it makes me feel like im eating something healthy, and so mentally its kinda cool.  They had a pretty good chicken penne dish that i like to order.  This is a cute place to have drinks and a quick lunch.

I will say however that I really loved their selection of salads. I ordered the avocado caeser with ahi tuna and it was divine. The portion was just perfect, not too big not too small and it was a really fun get away. I would definitely plan on ordering wine the next time (thanks Eric C.).

So...That's why "specials" are called specials!
I had a Philly Cheese Steak Wrap special that ROCK'D MY WORLD! I suggests listening to their specials before picking something off the menu...however, everything here reads very yummy.

I had to go to Oliver Cafe/Lounge after seeing that the two previous yelpers gave it five stars. I checked it out for lunch the other day and I totally agree...it is such a great lunch spot in the BH.

I dig that it is semi-inside the Sport Club LA. So, after stuffing my face with food, I exit through a sea of half-naked people working out. haha. And, it has a window framing that gives the feel like you are eating outside.

The service we experienced was sub-par for a place that felt so sheik, which is why I'm not compelled to give it the same rating as my peers. i guess I'm a tough critic.

Nevertheless, if you are shopping on Rodeo Drive or just want to grab a healthy organic lunch in a cool atmosphere with one other person...hit up Oliver's pad :) It's small but fabulous!
