O.M.E. Beverly Hills

We NEED this!  Great jazz venue. Beautiful environment. Great sound. Good service. Good food. A wee pricey but I think they have to be to survive.  I will continue to patronize.

Horrible place!!!!  We went there at 11:30 AM for Sunday Brunch with reservations, with our coupon.  The hostess took our reservation, knowing that we had a coupon and said that it would be welcome on that day and time.   We even offered her 2 different dates since we were using a coupon.  When we sat down, we were told that we coud not use our on that day. The manager told us that he woud call the owners and see what he could do.  We gave him the name of the Hostess who took our reservation knowing that we had a coupon.  He said that he has no authority to do anything and had to speak to the owner on the phone to see if they would honor it.  He returned after about 25 minutes saying that there was nothing that could be done.   They would not honor our coupon. There were only about 30% of the seats in the restaurant occupied.  We sat there this whole time waiting and did not have anything to eat or drink and ended up leaving.  There was another couple who was there before us who, we were told by our waitress, was having the same problem.  We ended up going nearby to another restaurant and had a lovely brunch.  We would never go back H.O.M.E.  They need to stand behind their employees and take some responsibility.  It would also be a good idea to give the person with the title of Restaurant Manager some authority.  Situations like this must be difficult for their staff.
Groupon was gracious enough to refund our money in full.  It sounded kike this was not the first complaint they had had about this place.

It is Wed. 7/3/13 6:30pm. Happy Hour? There is no valet parking. You have to find a spot in a garage next door. After entering an almost completely empty establishment. I  attempted to order several different cocktails from the in house cocktail menu only to be told that the ingredients to make the drinks are not available. The waiter was apologetic but offered nothing for the inconvenience of ordering multiple times. The bar should be fully stocked during business hours, especially happy hour. A restaurant in Beverly Hills should not be a "drink what we have available" type of venue.

Dinner was ok, dessert was ok, coffee was cold. Instead of pouring a fresh hot cup of coffee for me, the waiter nuked my old cup of coffee in the microwave. The band was supposed to start playing at 8pm. I waited until 9pm and still the band had not started playing yet. The waiter again apologized and admitted that it was a very "off night" and quite embarrassing. Whether it was an off night or not is irrelevant. I drove all the way from the Marina during rush hour, and spent over $100 for a total waste of my time. I gave up and went home.

I will be heading to Nic's for drinks and live entertainment in Beverly Hills from now on.
