I think I'm officially old, because now I prefer sitting to standing at concerts. For the first time, I sprang for reserved seating in The Pageant balcony, and it was money well spent.
The Pageant boasts that it was designed as a music venue from the ground up, which may not seem important. But the room seems to create an energy for performers and bring out something intangible in them.
It's a big small room, creating an intimate vibe and getting you a good show almost every time. Whether you want to be up close to the stage or settle in around the room, it's a nice place to enjoy live music.
Been here twice now, once for the Budweiser party with Robert Delong and Big Gigantic and the other time to see Awolnation. Both events were amazing and the venue is great. It's not huge which is nice because from wherever you are inside you have an amazing view of the performers and makes it feel a little more intimate. If you prefer to have a little more space I'd recommend going upstairs.
The staff is great, there was no wait to get in to Awolnation and for both events it took me less than a minute to buy a drink. The venue brings in some pretty big names and they have comedians come in as well. Highly recommend getting a group of friends together to check out a show here.
