Long story short - We will definitely order from the Paisano's in Springfield again - good pizza, great phone servie and speedy delivery.
Long story - I called the Paisano's on Van Dorn for pizza delivery, but the guy on the phone couldn't find my house in their system, couldn't identify the major intersections near my house, or for that matter couldn't really understand my articulate spelling of the street address. Â After trying to explain where I live, oh by the way - I am 4 miles from their location; they told me that I live too far and to try the Springfield location.
I called Paisano's in Springfield and when I gave the man my address he said I should call the other location. Â When I told him about my prior phone conversation he said he'd take my order. Â Very nice thing for them to do considering I am farther away. Â I really appreciated the effort. Â The pizza was delivered faster than the estimated time. Â Overall the pizza is pretty tasty, but honestly their consideration in delivering to my location is what won me over.
I'm so GLAD Paisano's is here. I lived in Fairfax and it was my number one place to order from so i was excited and hoping for the best when they opened up by my job. The pizzas are good and the calzones are amazing. I usually can't eat calzones from their richness at many places but I'm addicted to theirs. The staff is friendly and they are pretty good about delivering quickly.
Review Source:The pizza is the worse i've had in the area. I'm sorry to the owners. They don't use enough cheese and sauce. Then they overcook the pizza.
The subs on the other hand were better but I've had dozens of subs better and hundreds of better pizza.
If you like trying new places, give it a go and try Paisano's....but if you want good quality pizza, i'd pass
This is my go to place for subs in Springfield. Â I really like their Italian. Â They are a little heavy handed with the dressing, so I ask for that on the side, but it is good dressing, much better than mayo.
Subs are reasonably priced and large enough to last two lunches.  So for me, it's a winner.  I have not tried the pizza, but I will update my review when I do  :)
Saw they delivered and it was raining at the hotel so I decided to look up Paisano's and order some food. Â First off they have a great website and do online ordering which to me is a giant plus because they apparently are doing good business if they can afford to set up that kind of technology. Â

The order arrived within 20 mins even though it was prime dinner time and raining out which I figured they would be really busy. Â
The food was AMAZING for delivery the salad was crisp and in a huge portion. Â The honey mustard dressing was very good and a nice size container.
Pizza was a very nice size for personal and was very good with fresh toppings and lots of flavor. Â
Very impressed with everything about Paisano's and for 20 dollars delivered to me it was a steal! Â Â
They even deliver beer!
I got a flyer the other day in the mail from Paisano's and decided to try them out. If there is one thing Springfield has a lot of, it has to be pizza/greek/italian places. My husband and I go to Delia's (<a href="http://www.yelp.com/biz/delias-pizzeria-and-grille-springfield">http://www.yelp.com/biz/…</a>) at least once a week and then Malek's (<a href="http://www.yelp.com/biz/maleks-pizza-palace-springfield">http://www.yelp.com/biz/…</a>) if we want to change things up. Last night was the perfect time to try out Paisano's because Delia's has been closed for the past couple weeks for renovations. My husband and I decided to do delivery. I got the Greek Salad with chicken and he made his own calzone with ham, pineapple, and banana peppers. The food came pretty quickly, about 30 minutes. Which is nice, because we usually pick up from Delia's since it can take up to an hour.
I was a little skeptical about getting the Greek Salad because it said it came with Italian dressing. But I wasn't really hungry enough for anything else, so I got it anyway and decided that if the dressing was not good I would use one from our fridge. Thankfully the dressing turned out to be good. It wasn't your typical Italian dressing you get from the grocery store. It was creamy rather than oil-based. It tasted a little similar to the dressing Delia's has, but not as sweet. As for the rest of the salad:
PROS: portion was pretty big, I had trouble finishing my salad; greens were fresh and the chicken was plentiful and tender; i really liked having banana peppers instead of pepperocinis.
CONS: would rather have cherry tomatoes instead of tomato slices
My husband enjoyed his calzone. We will definitely be trying out other items from the menu, especially the pizza. Per the flyer we received with our food, as part of their grand opening they will be offering a large pizza next week for only 4.99!
