Park Place

Park Place has closed and turned into a Snuggery.  So sad.

First time ever there, finally decided to try it out and it was the last day it was open and they didn't have a full menu that day. Bye bye Park Place....  Let's hope the Snuggery lives up to its predecessor.

How sad. I was a regular at Park Place but it has been killed off and replaced with "The Snuggery." Seriously? "The Snuggery?" That has to be the stupidest name for a restaurant ever

The comments about Park Place's slow and uninspired service are accurate, but the food was good, and the atmosphere was very nice. I loved the digital slides shows of nature scenes all over the restaurant. Looking at the marketing and menu of the "The Snuggery" (ugh) it is basically every cliched sports bar gimmick they could think of (Wow! Bid Light and chicken wing specials!). Now it is not just the servers who are uninspired, the whole place is.

So now the joint is just another soulless sports bar trying to grab a slice of the ex-frat boy football watching crowd - think Buffalo Wild Wings. Edison Park lost an original and it got replaced with corporate nonsense. Isn't that sad?
