Better start writing some of these reviews from New Orleans while they are fresh in  my mind.. pretty soon it will all be faded. So went here after we blew the World War II Musuem.  This place was a nice cozy little place. I had a tuna sand, my usual vodka on the rocks, which btw I noticed that in New Orleans the well vodka was never Monarch which was nice! Was pretty yummy for sure. The sandwich was great and booze too, started our fun time here and would definitely go back. My only complaint of course is the smoking. The bartender was funny and the they were all very friendly.
Review Source:The food was okay.
The pizza is WAY overpriced.
Had a lunch special. Corn was canned. Green beans canned. The pork chop a little dry, but surprisingly tasty. Perhaps one of the besting tasting pork chops Ive ever had, but I hardly ever get pork chops.
Lots of TVs. I could argue too many but whatever.
Second visit, ordered a turkey po boy. Was average size and tasted plain. The bread was a little stale. Downtown Seafood has a much better po boy.
This place is pricey considering the food you get.
They were closed on Super Bowl Sunday. Weird.
While at the LACUE conference, I was totally blown away by this little restaurant. The atmosphere was very new for me (writing your own order down on notepads with your name at the top)! Reminded me of something right out of New York! When your order was ready, they called out your name over the loud speaker ~ way cool! Being pressed for time, I ordered the special (spaghetti with homemade meatballs). It was delicious!!! I got a glimpse of a homemade pizza when I picked up my order, and I wished I would have ordered one! It looked so yummy! The cashier said it only takes about 10 minutes to cook up a pizza (I wish I would have asked that question when I ordered). I'll definitely go back there if I'm in the neighborhood and order a pizza!
Review Source:This has got to be one of my favorites in BR. It is an old standby; by that, I mean my grandfather used to eat here when he was a student at LSU. This place also has the best Roast Beef PoBoy in BR. Infact, although I've found quite a few good seafood poboys here, this is about the only acceptable Roast Beef Poboy I've found in the city. It is better than just acceptable though; it is good. The pizza is also quite tasty.
