This is not your typical subshop experience. Check out their signature submarines. Each sub creation adds a twist that tantalizes your tastebuds. Have you ever had Mac&Cheese on a sandwich before? If not, try it. You'll be dreaming up the sandwich for weeks. If you're there on a Friday, I highly recommend the meatball sub.
Don't miss the secret hand-craft gourmet chocolate case in the back. It will satisfy even the most particular sweet-tooth.
My girlfriend and I went here today for lunch and were very impressed! I got The Captain and it was delicious. The owner, Dawn, recommended that I add pickles which were a great contrast to the other flavors. My girlfriend got the First Mate which was equally impressive. She had the option of 2 different balsamic vinegars and the white one added a nice sweetness to the sandwich.
Dawn was wonderful and had a nice conversation with us while making our sandwiches. She had a great attitude and offered suggestions. We will definitely be going back here again for the amazing food and excellent service!
My partner and I came in after endlessly searching for something different in the sandwich game. We've tried Primanti Bros., Laspadas, and while those are good places to grab a sandwich, I wanted a little more variety.
We both really enjoyed Pink Submarine! I ordered "The Skipper" and my partner had "The Captain". I really give good marks on their choice of roll. My biggest complaint about Primanti's is that half way through a sandwich their french bread gets soggy... none of that at Pink. We also had a side of potato salad, which was delicious, and took a cookie for the road.
Dawn, the owner, was SUPER nice and talkative, and the whole place had a relaxed atmosphere. We will definitely be back to try out the rest of her menu, and cant wait for new additions!
Such a fun place. I love the peeps that work here. I also love the creative sandwiches they have on their menu. You won't find subs like these anywhere else. I have also used Pink Submarine for several corporate catering events - upwards of 30-40 people and everyone was impressed and loved the food!
Review Source:This place is AMAZING. Â I've had a bazillion different sandwiches here. Â The meat is always fresh and delicious (fresh and delicious meat on Wilton Drive...who knew?) Boar's Head....yum. Â The rolls are fresh daily, there's a ton of different toppings available. Â You've GOT to try the Captain....I mean macaroni and cheese AND potato sticks on a sub? Dawn is after my own heart. Â Everything is hand made, the loaded baked potato salad is to die for and Dawn, the owner, is a lovely lady. Â I eat there at least 3 times a week and I'm a b**** when it comes to food, just sayin! DO IT!
Review Source:Dawn is the nicest lady ever! We stopped in after a horrible experience at Rodeo Restaurant (just a few doors down) after seeing an award from the news station on their door. Samples the chocolate with cayenne. It was DIVINE! Their meats are Boar's Head, top quality! Will be back soon!
Review Source:Yum!!! Loved this sandwich shop - Boars Head meat, fresh veggies, and other toppings. And the homemade chocolates are to die for! The sandwiches are so big, Icould only eat half and the prices are good. The owners running the place could not have been any nicer. I will definitely be back in to see them and will refer my friends.
Review Source:The Pink Submarine, a sandwich shop, appears to be operating in what was Gigi & Gavins Gourmet Chocolates and Coffee located at 2041 Wilton Drive  Wilton Manors, FL 33305. Since it was National Sandwich Day and since I was in the hood, I thought I'd stop by for a sandwich. I wish I hadn't, it's not very good, and with all the great sandwich shops around like Bravo, Laspadas, Fernandas and the like, a stop at the Pink Submarine is a waste.
First off, some of the display counters are empty or cluttered with remains of what was something else. For the most part, the menu is on a couple of blackboards, with only one actual service menu. The floor needs a good cleaning and waxing and the entire place reeks of disorder and confusion, even with only two customers.
I had what was to have been an Italian Sub, but one of the worst ever. The cheeses used in the sub would have made an imitation Valveeta seem gourmet by comparison. The cold cut meats weren't much better and neither was the seasoning they used.
Though the walls are nicely painted with a pink submarine motif, the place is totally lacking in any décor or ambiance. I've certainly been to a lot better than the Pink Submarine.
