Review Source:I'm a fan for a lot of reasons. I went to school in B-N and while I must confess I usually ended up ordering "Primey's" because no matter how drunk, it was THE phone number I could remember (888-9999).
The pizza is good, and consistently good. Also, I hope they still have the same ranch they had when I was in school because that ranch was fantastic.
I do love Tobins, too, but I don't really compare them because they're just different kinds of pizza altogether. Lucca pizza wins for thin crust.
I like pizza places like this. Â Local, crust that's neither crackery or too bready, a slightly sweet sauce, and not too greasy. Â
AND a large cheese cost less than five bucks out the door.
AND the owner of the place spent like 5 minutes chatting with us, telling us about the menu, asking us what we like, telling us about the community, etc.
This is what local pizza that's not paper-thin crust is all about. Â I like it better than Tobin's. Â I'm a fan.
I went to college in Bloomington, and prime time pizza will always have a special place in my heart. Â The pizza is cheap and really not that bad. Â They are open so late as well for all those late night at the bars. Â Plus the calzones are some of the best I have ever had and thats only $8. Â
The sauce they include blows.
888-9999 gotta love that number
Fast, cheap, greasy, and burnt. They give you a lot for your money and actually have fairly fast carry-out service, but the food is just not good. Tough and overcooked, too much fat and not enough taste.
Perhaps if you are really hungry, this is worth it... as in have not eaten in four days and you need the pizza for its water content so that you don't pass out on the sidewalk from dehydration and get stepped on by hundreds of drunk ISU students... Perhaps.
I'm a spoiled Chicago brat so this definitely wasn't the greatest pizza I've had, but at least not the worst. Â The pepperoni was a bit too greasy for my taste, but the veggie creation we had hit the spot. Â The incentive of this stuff is the cost, a large pizza will run you around $5, which is one heck of a deal.
