Do you ever watch the show "restaurant impossible"?  I think Robert Irvine would walk in here and immediately look at the floor and say this carpet has got to go.  He would also say that he hates the decor, some of which is very dated!  For example, some of the decor like the art work hanging in random areas just appears to be out of place.  On the other hand, the rest of the decor, such as the brewery symbolism and equipment like the fermentation chambers on the second floor are ideally what I would want to see at a brewery, even if it is a chain.  The food is decent and reminiscent of your typical casual dining restaurant.  I ate a turkey burger with a side salad in lieu of fries.  The beer is a typical representation of american ales with a single seasonal option, an IPA, a Red, a White, a Brown and a Dark.  I had a Red Ale, which was good and served correctly in an imperial 20oz pint glass.  The waitstaff and hostesses are nice, helpful and know the menu.  Parking is in the garage under Rock Bottom.  They validate for up to 4 hours.

Food is OK sometimes and bad most of the time.  The beer is the saving grace.  When you factor in price, it's probably 2 stars.  The bar has ample TVs and they're happy to accommodate requests.  Go grab a beer, maybe an app, and watch the game.  Don't expect a good meal.

Decent American food place. Has plenty of TV's with sports stuff on and is pretty casual. The service is good. The pretzel sticks appetizer were pretty good; comes with a chesse dip. Tried the Blackened Shrimp Mac 'n Cheese and Chicken Fried Chicken. The mac n' cheese was quite good, cheesy with a slight crust on top. The chicken fried chicken was pretty average fried chicken. One of my friends got the 2:00 Am Burger and really liked it. The portions are good and prices are decent.

I'm not sure why I continuously get talked into coming back here. The service is not so great, and the food it mediocre. The mac and cheese is too oily/ greasy and left me feeling like I was going to throw up. The burgers are nothing special.

Went with the ribs and shouldn't have. Seems like pigs must be getting smaller if the size of a full rack is any indication. These are more a dry rub startle, but I added BBQ sauce on the side, which was actually pretty good. Had a nice bite to it. Ribs were overlooked and crispy, but Because there almost no meat on these bones it would have been challenging to cook. Fries were small, hard, and limited portion.

My son had pizza which he said was fantastic.

Beers are unremarkable. The IPA had no hop bite at all and no distinctive flavor. The imperial hopbomp had some hop bite but was weak at only 6.8 abv and 70 IBUs.

Service was really lacking on this visit even though it wasn't busy at all.

Good happy hour deals here though.

AMAZING food. The BEST nachos I have ever had in my life. Not greasy at all! Perfect amount of ingredients. Such good appetizers as well. Try them!

Went for dinner on a Wednesday night with family (including a 5 year old) and felt that it was an appropriate choice. The fish and chips were very tasty, especially the fish, due to the breading and the sauce on the side. The 5 year old ate all of her Mac and Cheese (it's always good when the kids actually finish their meals!), even though it looked like Kraft.  I tried the red ale and it was good as well. Our server was pleasant and attentive. I would go back again.

Favorite drink: dragon fruit strawberry mojito (It's sooooo good!!)

Now I don't normally like mojitos, but exotic fruits added to the mix is to my liking.

I like karaoke Fridays because the DJ can download any song you pick. The only downside is that karaoke ends at 12 AM, which is a little too early for ending karaoke.

Everything else is pretty typical of a franchise brewery.

I like this place. I had my birthday here one year and it was great. The food was awesome and so was the customer service. They have karaoke some nights which is pretty cool.  A few of my friends had their bday parties here as well shortly after mine. The food and the whole experience was great

I like coming to the Rock Bottom - the food is good, the beer is original, and the live entertainment weekly is fun. The only real draw-back is that the resturant is so popular, it fills up quickly and gets rather loud

The beer was good. The food was average at best. The waitress service was manic; at times it seemed that our waitress was angry that we were ordering beer. It left us fairly confused.

Cool place to hang with karaoke up stairs, tv's downstairs to watch sports.  Ton of bar seating.  Reminds me of BJ's in the bay.  Had a bit of their brewed light beer ( don't remember the name), and it was pretty smooth.  Also one of the few places that made Greyhounds without fresh grapefruit fruite that tasted decent enough to order another.  Very chill.

Bathrooms were nicely lit and clean.  Found a girl drunk and passed out in one of the stalls with her underwear down, and heals off to the side.  o_O Had to get our server to help her.  Now, you don't see that everyday at a bar (speaking sarcastically).

We went here for dinner tonight and it was decent.  The beer was great - I had the white ale, very delicious.  My husband had the cider, he loved that too.

For an appetizers we had the guacamole and chips.  The guac was terrible.  Someone forgot to smush up the avocado to an amount that is actually bite sized.  There were just giant chunks of avocado in the guac.  It didn't have very good enhancements either, like no lemon or lime sauce, it seemed like they just added a little tomato and onion to the avocado and called it a day!

For my entree I had the BBQ ribs and chicken.  The ribs were fantastic actually, but the chicken was really spicy.  It thought it was super weird that the ribs wouldn't be spicy at all but the chicken would be super spicy.  The fries served with it were skinny fries, they were good.

My husband had the burger - he said it was good.  But the mac and cheese that he got with the burger was AMAZING!!!  Seriously, it was amazing.  If you go here you should totally get one of the mac and cheese entrees.

Overall - OK meal.  Some good some bad.

My previous review gave RB four stars, mainly since they had such a great rewards club that they called the Mug Club and for the head brewmaster that brewed some really good beer.

Unfortunately, they got rid of both. Brian no longer works there, and they completely eliminated the Mug Club and replaced it with another loyalty program. Ironically, all the 'loyalty' built up in the previous club is no longer valid and you have to start completely fresh with the new one.

The nice thing is that they still provide 20 ounce mugs, but having to start completely fresh without some of the great rewards is a bummer. They also still have good happy hours, although even those aren't as good as they used to be.

I'm still giving it three stars since I love the upstairs bar, but even that is closed for private events frequently during the holidays.

This place is pretty cool. House beers are pretty good, I usually stick to the white ale. The restaurant itself is huge with a really nice atmosphere. I really like the look and feel of the place.

Food is pretty decent, fries could be better. What I like is even if the Taphouse is packed to the gills, Rock Bottom always has a seat open at the bar.

*pretty decent crafted beers of their own, great TV/Sports set up and nothing to brag about food that also doesn't disappoint

I had an awesome time here with my wife and son. We had huge burgers that were perfectly cooked and seasoned. I had their beer sampler and enjoyed every one. We had a great waitress who made our experience very pleasant. I was also impressed with the children's meal that came out. It may have been one of the best I've ever seen for the price. I will be going back.

    Highly Recommended.

The beer and the main course dishes were pretty darn good. Can't complain.

My rating is based on the terrifyingly bad dessert that I was served. The White Chocolate Banana Cream Pie was one of the worst desserts that I have ever eaten. I'm not quite sure how it even got on the menu. It was bland, uninspired, and consisted of 50 percent, tasteless crust. Ewwww.

Do yourself a favor. Enjoy the beer. Enjoy your entree. Go somewhere else for dessert.

I needed somewhere that I could walk to for dinner so I thought I'd give Rock Bottom a shot. It's right by Tap House and looks like it serves about the same demographics and style of food.

They fancy themselves a brewpub so I was not expecting a huge selection like at Tap House since they brew their own. So I give their house Coconut Porter a try while looking over the menu. It's not bad and there is just a hint of coconut. Very drinkable but nothing outstanding. Nothing on the menu really catches my eye so I go with the burger. I decide on the Kobe beef burger since it's only a couple bucks more plus I'm on an expense account.

I'm sitting at the bar since I'm alone and the bartender is friendly enough and prompt. I order the burger from him but he forgets to ask me how I'd like it cooked and it slips my mind until it's almost time for it to come out so I let it slide. Luckily it was not burnt. I get their Red Ale to go with my burger. The burger like the beer was nothing special. That's really all I can say about it. I didn't have an issue with the service, the place was clean, the beer was fine and it's fairly reasonable priced. It's just nothing ever stuck out for me to make me have the desire to go out of my way to come back.

There is free wi-fi so it's good to grab a beer, some wings and surf the net if other places around are full.

Came for Lunch on a Saturday. Took the Fried Calamari and the Angus beef burger.
I ordered the burger medium and got it over burnt! The waitress got me another one without any difficulties. However the food was just average and the IPA beer was by far too bitter.

    Desapointed.

Summer ale and beef nachos - such a satisfying meal!

Wish we would've been allowed to sit outside since I had my dogs but we couldn't since it wasn't officially nice enough to open up the outside seating area.

Sorry guys -- stale menu and average beer.  It's fitting that Rock Bottom  is near California Pizza Kitchen and PF Changs... corporate, gut busting plates without a lot of creativity and thought.

I always appreciate locally brewed beers, but this place just didn't catch me.  The staff were friendly and vibe was OK, but other than needing a joint to watch 5 NFL games at one time, I don't see the need to go back.

This place could potentially get me back to Bellevue on a Saturday night. I'm pretty devoted to the West Side and the South End, reserving downtown Bellevue only for the random work conference that pops up at the Hyatt now and then. Thus, when co-workers wanted to go out to see a friend's band at Rock Bottom last night, I was filled with a mixture of trepidation and curiosity.

We sat upstairs, which ended up being packed. Our server Ty was very pleasant, though understandably he became harder to flag down as the room filled. The band was playing 80s/90s rock that transported me right back to a Kappa Sigma party circa 1995. Awesome. Lots of folks were up and dancing, while others played darts, pool, and socialized. It was definitely an eclectic crowd with a variety of ages and styles represented.

I honestly was shocked at the enormous size of the dinner portions! $14.50 got me a platter of mac & cheese with shredded chicken as well as a generous starter salad. I could have done without the raisins in my salad, but otherwise I thought the food was pretty good. I liked that they used cavatappi rather than elbows or penne for the pasta. After eating probably 2/3 of my salad and 1/2 my pasta I was stuffed...took home a nice full take-out box of noodles for later. In equal abundance were my friends' entree salad and burgers. Everything's bigger in Bellevue, apparently!

Another nice Eastside perk was the parking, which turned out to be free at Bellevue Galleria. Apparently Rock Bottom validates for 4 hours of parking, but after a certain time the garage just opens up the gates altogether. We arrived at around 7 pm and left at midnight, with nary a cent spent to park!

I came here a couple of weeks ago to do trivia with some friends.  I'd never been here before, but it was super easy to find.  Once inside, I discovered that the restaurant is surprisingly huge.  Unfortunately, despite it's size, it feels a bit cramped.  It's also kind of loud - especially in the upstairs area with the trivia - but manageable.

I'm not a big beer drinker, so I just stuck with a soda.  I thought about ordering food, but prices seemed a bit high.  The waitress was nice and gave me my soda for free.

However, we had a lot of trouble tracking down our waitress for additional drinks and the checks, even though we were seated really close to the employee work station.

I'd come back here for trivia again, but I doubt I'd buy food.

    Pros:
*Portions - I ordered the hazelnut crusted chicken, which filled a majority of the plate, with a beer that made me pretty full

    Cons:
    * Service - The server had an attitude all night, when the waitress came and asked for our order, she "what do you guys want?" and starts slapping the menu in her hand in the gesture of "hurry it up, you're wasting my time."  Sorry, but doing that kinda $hit is just outright rude, we already decided on what we wanted to eat the second we got the menu.
Also we only asked for a side of ranch and a knife and the girl spoke to us in a tone that implied that she was doing us a favour

    * Drinks - Beers have no body in the flavor, only the Oatmeal Stout is decent

*Food - The hazelnut chicken I ordered came with white cheddar mash potatoes (decent) and I subbed the steamed veggies for a side of slaw (decent); unfortunately the chicken was a bit on the odd side, I wasn't sure if the texture/chewiness was either from the chicken or the ingredients used for the crust but it felt like the food was sticking to my molars like if I was chewing on gum paste.  Also the chicken itself did not have much taste other than making me believe that the chicken was just old and not reasonably fresh

Would I recommend this place to my friends & co-workers? Hellllllzzzzzzzz......  no, absolutely not, even with mediocre/standard food I believe service is huge key.  Then considering that the entrée was about $14 I would've hoped that it would turn out better than what I experienced.  I mean when the sides taste pretty standard your main piece of the meal should far exceed the sides in terms of taste & quality.  Sadly this did not happen.  Rock Bottom you are truly heading rock bottom *rimshot*

There is just something about this place that really doesn't do it for me.

Yeah- they have good drink prices but I really rather be somewhere else each time I come here.

    It's a depressing place.

2 stars- service 3stars- food 5- their short lived seasonal pumpkin ale.

A few times my service has been awesome but usually I have really poor service here. The last particular time was what has really left a bad taste in my mouth for service. It was last Saturday and we went to go sit upstairs. As I was sitting, I saw a band was about to play and since I was having a migraine, decided to be blasted by direct music may not be the best idea. SO...we asked to be moved down.

Our waiter was so rude about this simple request. We were going to pay for our beers, tip him a few bucks and then move downstairs to eat. He 1) bad mouthed us to the bartender 2) purposely didn't get us our change back and made us wait nearly 10 minutes before we just left no tip and went downstairs 3) continued to look over the railing and glare at us mean for our entire meal. We wanted to tip you, relax and we are customers so HOW ABOUT BE NICE? Then...we went downstairs and had horrible service yet once again by someone who clearly doesn't care about her customers.

All the times I have been here, I see too many employees and all of them just standing around and socializing. It's really disappointing when you have good beer, good food and crappy service. If I'm spending 20-30 bucks on food and beer-- I want good service. Bottom line.

The food here is good for the most part! What's good: ahi tuna salad, their pizzas, any chicken sandwich, their dinner salads are bomb because it come with pine nuts and real veggies and is HUGE. Their burgers are just okay. One night we all had a burger and the only person that was happy with theirs was the vegetarian. So that's good to know for future reference, I do like a good veggie burger.

Other perks: they have soybean crayons for kids and the crowd is nice and laid-back which is a treat for Bellevue.

Um...ew. Okay that was rude, especially considering the service started off decent but ended up pretty negligent. We could have left without paying. I don't get that - don't you want our money? Bring the bill.

Enough of that, let's talk about the real stuff. Zero out of 5 of us liked the beer here. Also, they have rather large labels from their "previous" line of beers posted behind the bartender. When we tried to order one of them, we got scoffed at. I'm sorry how STUPID of us not to realize that the GIANT ADVERTISED BEERS BEHIND YOUR BARTENDER ARE NO LONGER AVAILABLE.

Thankfully the city is blessed with many other breweries that I have yet to discover. Rock bottom - hmmm...the irony.

No thanks.  Every time I've been here there seems to be hardly anyone in the joint -- I should have taken that as a bad sign the first few times I ended up here but I didn't.

The service is always off -- either we get no attention and a mediocre attitude or one person in the group gets all the attention while the rest just get pissed off.

The last beer I had was a red.  I didn't finish half of it, and the food is not memorable in the slightest.

As the lesser of two evils, you're better off going to Taphouse next door, at least you have the option to *not* have a Rock Bottom brew there.

Rock Bottom, I know you're a chain with mediocre beer, but you saved my life when I was tired and hungry as hell. That patty melt and salad was just what I needed. The icy cold one hit the spot.

Thanks. I'm giving you a 4 star review just for being there when I needed you...and for not sucking.

Wandered in on a Sunday afternoon with some friends, took a seat at the bar, and gazed at their menu.

I finally decided on their Red (forgot the name, sorry) and it was good, not something I'd get again though, but not horrible.

Katie was our bartender, she was super nice and helpful! She let us know about the Mug Club and how you get this free card and points everytime you come. Pretty awesome.

Also another thing that is awesome... $2 pints. Yeah, I said it. Every Tuesday between certain hours and all day on Sundays all pints are $2. So when you want to get your drink-on, Rock Bottom is very affordable (and tasty!)

I came here after the bar exam for our bar prep class after party.  We had beer and wine provided, as well as pretzels.  I didnt eat here so I cant talk about the food.

The beer on the other hand was fantastic! I had the dark beer that goes on rotation. It was strong!

The food is "okay" if you're looking to fill your stomach.

However, their service (if you could call it that) was extremely questionable. We arrived in the late evening, expecting they'd know about our small group - considering one of us had reached out to their banquet manager a week or so before. Everybody was clueless.

No matter, when a couple of us we found an area upstairs in which to gather, our waitress (who, I later discovered, had been there ALL day) seemed to be put off by the fact that we'd be bringing 20 potential-tip-weilding customers her direction.

So, she took our drink order. When one of us asked for a blended margarita, the waitress's EXACT response is: "We don't have a blender here." To this, my friend replied: "Yes, you do - I was here the other day, and I had one." Caught in a mistruth, our waitress floundered: "We don't have one upstairs."

You've. Got. To. Be. Kidding. Me.

So, instead of just taking the order and making the journey downstairs to fulfill her customer's order, the waitress initially communicated a would-be unquestionable "fact."

Indeed, after a brief period of silence, my friend just suggested she (herself) would go downstairs and get one.

    WTF?

Now, I admit that the "Spicy Spinach Cheese Dip" dip was quite remarkable - but even that wasn't enough to nudge me past a single-star review. I certainly hope management is trolling Yelp, and that they happened to catch my tweet out to 77,000 people when the waitress first pulled her stunt.

I did NOT stiff the waitress, mind you. I figured this review on Yelp was enough. I won't be returning to Rock Bottom, because that's apparently who they hire to wait tables.

Two dollar beers on Sundays? A deal if I ever heard of one! The bf and his buddies wanted to come here for a bday dinner (yes, to Rockbottom) and I was invited along. I hadn't been here in forever, so I decided... why not.

I got the pumpkin beer. This pumpkin beer is delicious (I was actually surprised by how good it was). The table got a couple orders of the pretzels, which were tasty... but pretzels dipped in cheese isn't rocket science. I ordered a club sandwich which Matt ended up eating most of. It was pretty bland and flavorless. Everyone else seemed to really like their food.

Our service was fantastic as was the beer. For that, I will give it 4 stars.

    Everyone seemed happy around me.
I guess because they didn't get Grease Fest 2009 (chicken enchiladas).
The Ball Park pretzels were a fun idea. But I'm sure you can make something similar at home - I mean out of a box that you keep in your freezer that you got from Costco. My S.O.'s salmon fish and chips were good and fun.

I think it's an okay place to eat, but mostly you should go for the $2 beer on Sundays.

Is it possible to be more generic than Applebees? yuh!

Been here a few times for lunch with coworkers and every time I find a new dish that is similar to something offered by one of those other American chains (chilis, applebees) and have been disappointed. Just bland, bulk, bad quality food.

Beers at the bar a a great idea though... Three stars, yo.

I've gone here an average of 2 times and had an acceptable times both times. The space is adequate and acceptable plus the staff is decent and fair.

The food I did have was moderate and passable, while the beer was respectable and satisfactory.

All in all, it was all right, common, moderate, passable, respectable, satisfactory, sufficient and tolerable.

It's really hard to rate this chain as really good or bad. Pretty much the only thing I can say is take the service, food quality, and layout..and rank the place somewhere between decent and good. THe only thing that woudl really stand out is the beer.
Rock Bottom is a great place to go with some buds if you want some beer (i'm not a beer connoseiur but their beers are quite good) and some pub food. Although I will say last time I Had their fish and chips which were made from fresh fish (claimed) and not the frozen stuff...it was very tender...but then again given the amount of beer than went down..I could've ate Taco Bell and felt just as satisfied. But nonetheless Rock Bottom Brewery is a nice casual joint, especially if you plan to watch a movie afterwards at the Galleria. Or just want a  place better than Red Robin after work for some beer and pub food.

The one thing these guys have going for them is their beer.  Since I'm pretty much an IPA snob, I've only ever had their IPA, but it's good enough to keep me coming back.  They even have a pretty good price on their take home growlers.

Their food is decent.  I seem to always get the buffalo fajitas.  Just enough spice and a very good flavor.

If you have a young one, your child will enjoy the kid's pizza.  Before it is cooked they let your little one spread the sauce and put on the cheese and pepperoni.  Certainly a lot more fun for your kid than your standard color crayons and coloring book.
