Meh
Slow service, expensive drinks, typical downtown bar. Plenty of room and tvs to watch though. Probably wont come back to try the food.
A fantastic burger, well cooked, well seasoned, and on a pretzel bun. Hand cut fries are delicious. I had the mushroom Swiss. The establishment is small and short on space, the front area is long and narrow bar, with a few tables in the back. Service was not overwhelmingly friendly, but satisfactory during a weekday lunch. At $15 or more for their specialty burgers, it is a little bit overpriced. But if you're hungry and craving protein, it hits the spot.
Review Source:Finally went here after living across the street for 2.5 years, it just never appealed because it seemed like a small sports bar, a venue which i typically don't enjoy. Â Finally stopped by after the Opera (pretentious I know) since it was freaking 6 hours long and I didn't feel like cooking anything. Â It was as I expected with the meaty looking drunk fellows screaming loudly and cursing at the various flashing plasma TVs around the bar and wearing colorful sports jerseys etc etc. Â Food was typical for bar quality except the prices were jacked up even further, probably due to the loop location. Â One saving grace was the profliferative presence of old Chicago pictures, which I love to look at, however they were poorly framed and unlabeled, which diluted their enjoyment. Â Pizanos next door is much better quality and about the same price, apparently they are "sister" establishments?
