Hit this place on a food tour and glad of it. Just look at the pictures of these dogs- they sure have been "dragged through the garden". Â There is no rhyme or reason for what the windy city puts on their dogs but it sure is a great combo! Stop trying to figure it out and eat the stupid thing.
Ps it was the Tastebud Tour.
The dogs were amazing! I am a hot dog fanatic and this was one of the best dogs I've eaten. The tastiness of the beef was extremely good. I would recommend the chili, mustard and slaw dog with fries. Everything comes with chips but there is something about the chips that are made locally in Chicago that I just don't like. They don't have very much flavor on them but the texture is good. The fries here are amazing though and would recommend those with your dog. They also offer free refills on drinks which was nice. They are very clean as well and the service was vey nice. The pictures of all the puppies was fun to look at as well.
Review Source:Right around the corner from The Peninsula... but honestly, even a mainstay like Portillo's (that's about a 15-20 more minute walk) would be better served if you're looking for a Chicago dog.
This place is a bit overpriced and the pickles and relish were just BLAH. Â Probably because it's in a more business/populated area.... but you can definitely get a better dog elsewhere.
