Great food, especially if you like to order things spicy. Try the chow fun (called something else on the menu-- noodles section, first dish) and a mango smoothie. Relax, people watch, and enjoy some good eats in style.

This place looks JUST like Chi Cafe down the street, from the layout of the room to the hours to the super well hidden pull-out drawer of utensils at each booth. So don't get the two confused!

Chi Cafe does not have a bakery if I recall correctly, and Sweet Station does. Sweet Station also has unlimited hot pot for around $17 and can be ordered individually - as in, not your whole party has to participate, which is nice. There's a nice variety of different meats and veggies to choose from, plus some appetizers like dumplings and shumai. A good deal, definitely. I love hotpot.

As far as other foods go, I get the two mixed up often. Sweet Station is good. Their roast meats are not quite the caliber of those from more authentic places, but you can't beat the price. And the significantly better dining environment. As a whole, I think the menu makes the food look a lot better than it is - it's probably cheap slightly above average Chinese-American for the most part, but it's definitely worth a try.

    3.5 stars.

Food: Tasty but too much MSG!! Very thirsty afterward! Serving size is very small and not worth the price I paid for.

Service: Bad. Waiter / Waitress did not greet us when we sat down. They just drop the menus at the table and took off.

    Environment: Good and clean

    Service is good.
    Free Wifi available.

Felt very cold in the restaurant... even the AC was on.

Despite it's name, it doesn't just sell sweets or confectionery, perhaps it is what they would like to be known for.

When we were there, the place was clean with lots of glass and sharp modern lines.
New tiles and nice lights. It's pretty small inside in reality.

I've not tried many of the dishes here but the Portuguese curry over rice is my go to dish. Everytime. It just doesn't disappoint for me.

I just love the creamy taste, usually with some seafood sprinkled in and with rice, every bite tastes as good as the last.
I'm sure I'll order it again when I'm next in.

On a sadder note, first visit to this restaurant, my car got stolen parked in Chinatown. Looking for the silver lining, it meant I was able to get another car!

Portion sizes are a bit small for what you pay, but the food is good so It's nice for a splurge once in a while (or if It's late on a weekend and they're the only place open on the way home from the bar...but then my wallet is the last thing on my mind lol).

Eating in is a better food experience than delivery, but most places are like that.

Love that they are one of the only restaurants close to me that has Indian curry fried rice. It leaves something to be desired, but it is one of the only items I've had where they do give you a large portion, plus you get a free protein and they put lots of fresh veggies in it.

The accommodations have definitely changed whenever I come in here. They added a flyer holder right by the booths designed specifically for hot pot. We were seated on one of the cold January days (yesterday). We ordered from the sheet and they took their time with the order.

Right when the pan of goodies came out for the soup they told us they ran out of lamb meat. I looked over the pan and we were also missing spinach. I guess it's not that big of a deal. After we consumed the food we were kind of thirsty so we ordered a pitcher of watermelon juice and a red bean ice cream freeze. The drink came fifteen minutes later. We waited a bit more for the watermelon juice and it never came. We inquired and they had their conversation between two waitresses. First, W1 told us there's no more watermelon juice then she had to ask the other waitress about the watermelon juice and said they ran out. No apologies or anything but told us to order something else.

Honestly, for the price I paid, I could've had a lot more food and also had lamb with some awesome plum juice or something.

I refuse to come back for anything anymore... I'm pretty much fed up with the service here.

Hot pot menu: seafood (squid, fish fillet, shrimp with or without shell, shrimp/ squid meatballs, & mussels. There are more but I forgot), meat (lamb, beef, pork, fatty and regular, chicken, pig blood, etc), variety of soup bases (soy milk, satay, spicy, nutritious, or two of your choice), appetizers and noodles (ramen, udon, vermicelli, crab rangoon, mantou fried or steamed, sweet soup) $17 all you can eat.

    ---

The last time I came at night, I was seated upstairs. Since the kitchen was downstairs the food had to be delivered upstairs. Waiting wasn't an issue, but the issue was the food (we ordered the Hong Kong stir fried thick noodles with beef, chicken wings, and a salt and pepper pork chop) was cold when we got it. To top it off, the chicken wings were spoiling before it was cooked. No doubt, I got a little food poisoned afterwards.

Methinks not for this place anymore. I've had enough of the service and freshness of the food.

The food here is okay for the most part, but I prefer going to other places in Chinatown to get my Chinese food craving. However, a must try here is their hot pot, which is $17 AYCE. This is probably one of the best hot pot spot in Chinatown and one of the better ones I have tried. You get a huge and decent selection for the AYCE hot pot menu. They have tons of vegetables, meat, fish balls, etc. Basically, all of your typical hot pot selections, they have it. The broth we always get is the spicy and satay one. You can pick two! Amazing broth that is filled with flavor. The only thing that bothers me about this place is that they don't bring everything you ordered. They continually leave things out, which I'm not sure if they just forget. I was there yesterday and we ordered the fried fish balls, and both times we only got 3. They normally come with 6-8 in an order.

The only thing that could be better is the sauce. I wish they offer more sauce, but the ones they have isn't too bad if you mix it properly. The regular fish balls is not good here and taste really fishy. However, the fried fish balls are really really good.

Overall, food is okay here for the most part, but definitely nothing amazing or great compared to other places by here. The hot pot is the only thing I pretty much come here for right now, which is really good.

If you think you have tried asian food, think again. This place has a menu that will please many. The items are numerous and the price is a bargain. They have excellent hot pot. The only downside, a bit of a language barrier to get detailed menu recommendations.

The portions are large and they will fill you up.

The food is a bit salty and does taste a bit of MSG. The peanuts have NanRu. Try it and wonder why your tongue goes numb.

Parking is plentiful nearby for a fee. The CTA station is around the corner.

Honestly, the service here can be sloppy when they are busy, and they are busy for many good reasons:

    - Cheap price, especially if you get their breakfast combo, or any other type of combo
    - Good selection, they offer lots of breakfast only items all day, and Chinese BBQ all day
    - Bakery, they have a bakery if you want to grab something home, it's fast
    - Hot pot!

However, I also understand why some people might have a not so good experience here:

-As I said, service can slow and inattentive when they get busy
-The floor is sometimes dirty, and the table might be slightly sticky
-Hot pot can be very smelly throughout the dining room

Overall, I really like the quality of their food most of the time. It's fairly authentic Hong Kong cafe style food for most of the dishes that I like. If you like the HK cafe style food, you should at least give it a try here.

More like 3.5 stars but I decided to round up.

Went here with my roommate for Chinese breakfast and arrived around 11:30am.  We were seated immediately, but I noticed later there was a wait for this place.  We were super excited that they have several breakfast options.  I got the wonton soup with egg custard and soy milk for like $5.  It was a really great value, and the wonton soup was decent with lots of wontons.  I also got a Chinese long doughnut which was fantastic!  It was crispy and dense, probably the best one I've had since being in China.  Dunking it in the hot soy milk was so so delish!!  Service was pretty fast.  Definitely going back for more soymilk and doughnut.

We went here on a Friday night 7pm for hotpot. $17 per person all you can eat. This includes seafood (which most places charge extra $), they offer sweet fried man tou, crab rangoon, dumplings, which is included in the all you can eat price

There's a large variety of options for broth- can choose 2 out of 6 or so options.
Portions- all you can eat! large!
Meat, fish, veggies looked like good quality & fresh.
another pro: no one got sick the next day from eating there!
You can take your time, no one pushes you to leave the restaurant.

There's an upstairs (larger groups) & downstairs (2-4 pple) dining area. Good for groups.
We will be returning. Would recommend!

We came here for hot pot and it was cheap and tasty. All you can eat for 16.95 and you can choose from a variety of soup bases. I also got the red bean and sago dessert and it was a generous portion and very yummy. Come try out the hot pot!

A solid choice if you visit Chinatown. The food is a bit on the lighter side similar to Chi Cafe with some interesting Hong Kong specials and sweet soup.

For me, the sweet top bun, egg tart, and mango sago were the best choices I tried. The food here is not as fancy as some of the other restaurants but this is a great choice if you live in the area because of the large size of their menu and generally solid cooking.

We've been eating late for one reason or another, so we came here in time for "tea time" lunch. Their menu is large, so you should be able to find something that piques your interest. We got the chicken wings with fries, roast duck noodle soup with wide rice noodles, fish in sweet sake sauce. The wings and fries were cooked to a delicious crisp but it seems they forgot to season it. Roast duck was good but again the soup were underseasoned, rescued by some big spoonfuls of chili, while the noodles were kinda clumped together. The fish was great, and that sauce we ended up using for the wings too :P I enjoyed my lemon tea but boyf said his ovaltine was the worst. Pretty sure there's better spots in Chinatown in this price range. How does a Chinese restaurant UNDERseason?

I was expecting more given the contemporary Asian look and menu of this place. The dishes offered sound pretty similar to stuff I am accustomed to and can be compared to those of chi cafe. However, the ingredients here are not as fresh, some of the items tasted like it's from the Jewel frozen food entree section, and overly heavy breading for their deep fried dishes. The noodle dish I ordered taste terrible and frankly, stale. In addition, while I usually don't care about service that much in casual Chinese restaurants, this place actually stand out as having poor service. It was almost impossible to get waiters attention even for a bill, and the waiter was annoyed when we asked them to bring extra utensils. The only reason why I did not rate this place lower was I heard they have good hot pots, which I had not try. Skip this place if you want to order any standard dishes.

I have tried many hotpot places in Chinatown and Sweet Station is by far the best.  The ingredients are fresh and they definitely give you A LOT.  You can choose from 6 different soup bases, including some unique choices such as pickled veg with fish fillet or soy (it may sound strange but soy is a popular hotpot soup base in Asia).  Snacks such as potsticker, dessert water of the day are also included in the all-you-can-eat hotpot menu.  I know the purpose of that is to fill you up, but it is still a nice perk for me.
I also had a late-night meal here, the food was great.  A must try is the mango pamelo dessert ... yum!

I came here a lot after late night out with friends. Staff are very friendly maybe because we were half naked. In scale of 1-10 of authenticity, this food is almost a 6. Can't ask much for a late night place. Even your mom won't wake up to cook for you!

Frequent customer. Great /reasonable breakfast selection that I always order and eat it for dinner later in the day at work.  Love the afternoon tea selection. They also delivery and cater full tray of entrees (decent price/ deliver on time). Recently, the 2nd floor is open for private events.

    Favorites:
Egg white/scallop fried rice - looks bland/simple, but yet so tasty
French toast (flash fried) over condensed milk
    Sizzzling teriyaki beef
    Garlic chicken wings
Lobster over the E-fu noodles - noodles are soaked in lobster juice flavor
    Jap teriyaki chicken kabobs
HOT POT! fresh selection of raw beef and seafood, cooked appetizers, and dessert soup for less than $20!!

If you crave for hotpot, come here. I don't think Chicago has a better hotpot place than this, at least not yet. For less than $20, you can select from various meats, seafood, and veggies, with UNLIMITED quantity. All the ingredients were satisfyingly fresh. The soup base and dipping sauce were delicious. We ended up spending almost three hours there, because time just flied with such great food.

I also dig their decor - stylish but not overly fancy. Stashing chopsticks and napkins in the dinning table drawer is a smart idea.

Well done, Sweet Station! Will come back for more when having a chance.

Sweet Station recently opened up its second floor for more intimate and private gatherings. The VIP rooms seem to be a trend in Chinatown ever since the M restaurant down the street started it two years ago. Sweet Station offers one whole floor with more space and flexibility. It is a very optimal choice for birthday parties and bridal/baby showers.

We organized a bridal shower for 12 people and here's what we ordered: fried squid, Japanese style chicken shishkabobs, beef with broccoli on chow mein, salt and pepper shrimp, fish fillet with sweet sake sauce, stir-fried rib tips, bamboo shoots with vegetable, salt and pepper Japanese tofu, stir-fried pea tips, dried scallop and egg white fried rice, beef ribs with black pepper sauce, and walnut shrimp. The portions were generous  and more than enough for 12 people.

Among the many dishes, I found the shishkabobs, rib tips, beef ribs, and chow mein to be the most memorable. The shishkabobs were very flavorful and the meat easily came off the sticks. The rib tips and beef ribs were tender and well-marinated. The chow mein was pan-fried to an excellent golden-yellow color with a slight burnt-crispy texture. I love how every bite into the noodles came with a slight crunch!

Our bridal shower lasted approximately three hours and service was very attentive and quick. Food arrived with a smooth flow and glasses were never left empty. My one complaint is when they turned off the AC and placed a blowing fan by our table. Mind you, 90% of the attendees were wearing dresses of some sort.

Sweet station is known for their desserts and light lunches and suppers. The desserts are very good and their food is tasty, but I think their prices are too high for what they give you.

What do I mean by light? Well...
We went there this past Monday for a late night dinner, and a friend of ours ordered jellyfish that cost $6.00 and the dish was tiny.  you almost felt sorry for the jellyfish dish because it looked pathetic. To top if off the jellyfish was way too salty in my opinion. We ordered an chicken wing appetizer, and their wings were tiny too. Joy Yee's offers a lemongrass chicken wing appetizer, and their wings are meaty and big for around the same price.

Sweet stations tiny wings for $5.95 ($6.00)

Joy Yee's meaty big wings for $6.50

$.55 difference but worth it because you get more out of the appetizer.

We also ordered  won ton noodle soup and dessert which was pretty good. We had mango sago pamelo dessert. At the end of the meal we walked away realizing our money wasn't worth eating their if you're hungry.

I think that place is good to go if you want desser, and a cheap place to grab a small bite and chit chat with friends.

Chinatown has come a long way since the 1990s, a time where the lack of diversity among Chinese ethnic cuisine quelled, at least somewhat, the consumer's enthusiasm for a night out, knowing the evening will end with the same boring food options.  However all that has changed with the addition of new Sichuan, Beijing, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Japanese, and Vietnamese restaurants.Sweet Station is one of two relatively new Hong Kong-style restaurants in Chinatown Square (the other is Chi Cafe).  The dining room's bright multicolored walls create an almost funky 1980s atmosphere, which is very different from your traditional Chinese style decor consisting of vases, calligraphy, lanterns, red oak furniture, and water color paintings.  They have TVs at each booth, but it is set to displaying pictures of various items on the menu (I don't think you can change the channel to watch the game).  Eating utensils and napkins are available in the drawer which is found on the side end of the table.  It must be a Hong Kong thing because Chi Cafe features similar tables.

I ordered the red bean ice drink.  It was sweet, but not overbearingly so.  Red beans portion was generous.  I can't say it was the best red bean ice drink I've ever had, but it wasn't bad or mediocre neither.  I guess what I'm trying to say is if you like the drink, there's no danger in ordering it here. For my meal, I ordered the Dry Fried Beef Chow Fun.  Unfortunately, this dish was a bit subpar.  It wasn't bad, but I've had better at different places.  The chow fun was bland, and the beef was underseasoned.  I would have given this place only 3 stars, but the attentive waitresses and busgirls, and overall emphasis on friendly service pushed them over to receiving 4 stars.  I will be a returning customer.

I know there's a lot of hating going on here but I love coming here!!  I've been to MANY restaurants in Chinatown square but came here for the first time last year.
It's first floor (YES, there is 2nd floor!) is tiny and doesn't seat many. There's also not a lot of room to wait for a seat.
It's very interesting decor but adds a modern twist than the typical CT restaurant.
I recommend the pan fried rice noodle with beef and the fried squid as a starter. The fried squid gives the feel of eating French fries as they are salty and come with a sweet dipping sauce.
For dessert, I totes recommend getting a vanilla or coconut cake roll and the mango and coconut on sago. Ok, once you've ordered those two desserts, serve yourself a slice of the cake roll and top with the mango. WHOA!  Your mind (and taste buds) have just been blown!!!
    Your welcome ;)

My boyfriend and I are regulars to Chinatown, but we had never tried Sweet Station.  We decided to this week and were pleasantly surprised.  We opted for the garlic Chinese broccoli which was pretty good (I thought it could be a bit more garlic-y though) as well as the Honk Kong style stir-fried noodles and beef.  We always up for noodles and these were pretty tasty!  I also had the Hon Kong iced tea which was amazing!  The dishes were piping hot and the veggies looked-and tasted-really fresh.  It was a nice change to our usual places.

I was here two nights ago at around 10-ish.  I was craving for some congee and since Chi-cafe was closed on Tues nights, this was option #2.  As always, service was fast  but the congee was not as tasty as Chi-cafe. Booo!

The decor used to be sparkly but for some reason it looked dirty and run down.

Abysmal customer service. I've given it three tries. The first two times, they were unable to seat us in a timely manner (30+ minutes) and the third time they consistently ignored us when we had problems.

The food is just alright and the customer service is terrible. Go elsewhere. If you wait long enough in the cold, you probably will end up going elsewhere, anyway.

This place really reminded me of Chi Cafe except the prices here seemed more expensive and I was super thirsty after having dinner here. I'm thinking it might have been MSG???

We ordered the noodle rolls with XO sauce. The noodle rolls were soft and the sauce had good flavor. I enjoyed the dish a lot.

We also got the pork and thousand year old egg congee.  It was of good consistency and was not overly salty. It was actually more on the bland side which I liked because then I could add salt and pepper to match my tastes.

We also ordered the Portuguese baked rice dish with curry sauce. It was only okay to me. I've had better baked rice dishes. The chicken was battered and fried before put on the rice and baked. I was expecting my chicken to be baked, not fried--and then baked.

Service was only okay. No one really checked up on us and we had to flag down the waiter for refills on tea and to pack up our left over food.

This place is like Chi Cafe Jr.  Almost identical menu and atmosphere in a smaller space.  Plaid button shirt uniforms for the servers inadvertently feel less FOB-chic and more hipster-chic which is a weird thing for this restaurant.

Food is almost on par with its rival across the plaza.  But the dishes definitely do taste a little hurried when you go when busy.  And busy they are on weekend nights.

Because you see, both Sweet Station and Chi Cafe doesn't appear on my radar until after midnight but unfortunately that is the same for almost everyone else in Chinatown who's been kicked out of the bars and clubs after they close.  Between 2am~ 5am is when both places are just completely filled with the post-bar/club crowd (and by bar/club there's only like Sakura and Zero).  Sweet Station is relatively a little more rowdy.  You'll see the afterparty crowd playing dice and continuing their drinking.

Service is... chinatown style.  But servers are hustling and they are trying to help everyone who needs it.  Things were crazy hectic when I went, so I don't blame them.  They did take our order, get our food, refill our waters, and get our check in a timely manner, so no complaints from me.

Not bad, but not great.  I'll be back if it's late and I've been drinking and I'm hungry all in chinatown. (which is not uncommon)

This review is primarily for the Hot Pot.  For $16.95 + tax & tip per person, you get a hot pot buffet.  Sweet Station offers very fresh fish filet, shrimp, thinly sliced beef and lamb and all sorts of veggies including snow pea tips.  Moreover, there is no 2 hour limit like at Mandarin Kitchen (Xiao Fei Yang).  Sweet Station is also cleaner than Mandarin Kitchen.  I've always had fun with my group of friends or relatives when we go for hot pot here.

The only downside to this place is that the waiters are rude, inattentive, and don't really speak English.  I asked for  (fu2 ru3), or Chinese fermented soybean tofu sauce, and they ignored my request.

I also did try several other ala carte dishes when the restaurant first opened, but the food was unimpressive.

It's really interesting that there are a wide array of reviews for Sweet Station with an average of 3 stars currently because I thought it was HEAVEN!

Oh my gosh, $4.95 for a beef brisket and wonton noodle soup that was HUGE. Steal! The broth, brisket, wonton and noodles were soooo comfy and good.

The prices are dirt cheap, yet the food is so yummy and reminds me of that "authentic" chinese with a little pan-asian twist . Though the variety of food amazed me, from the congee to udon. I only wished they served the wrapped noodle rolls for dinner (only sold for breakfast and lunch) because I was drooling over the picture in the menu.

Everything comes out piping hot, especially the endless hot tea.

I can understand why other reviews picked at the service. It did take us awhile to ask for our check. The place is always packin'. However, I usually never have high expectations dining in a Chinese restaurant in terms of expecting good service (in Argyle and other parts of Chinatown, you have to manhandle a waiter or aggressively give them the stink-eye before they make a way back to your table) but I was really surprised by the great service my co-diners and I experienced.

Will I be back? Oh you bet! Will I bring friends? Most definitely and I'll bring back the harshest critic of them all, my dad, who critiques (old school) Asian cuisine because I know he won't be disappointed.

Oh and any place that has thick stalks and a plentiful plate of Chinese broccoli totally wins my heart!

You know how sometimes you go for that #1 girl who you are infatuated with? I'll call this girl Chi Cafe, but then she shoots you down because she is so busy and packed that you have to wait 30+ minutes for a table. Then what does a smart man typicall do? He goes to girl #2, who you I'll call Sweet Station. You like her, but she is definitely not first choice.

Yep, this is what we have here. We have a case of the ugly cousin syndrome. Sweet Station is the ugly cousin of Chi Cafe. The decor/ambiance is about the same, the menu choices are the same, the wait staff are the same. But the taste of the food is definitely not the same. I ordered the roast meat with rice dish, and not only did it take them 40+ mins to make me a plate of precooked meat, they gave me nothing but bones with skin on it. Seriously, wtf.

I've came here several times with friends and each time I can name something wrong with their food.
    1. Bones with Skin on Rice
    2. Super Salty Fried Chicken Wings - Is salt going out of style?
    3. Super super greasy noodles with no salt? - Really?
    4. Fried Milk - milk was still cold on the inside

So unless you're really that desperate and in need of a quick Chinese food fix, I suggest you bring your stomach's else where.

Chinese food that delivers into downtown!

After a long day at Lala, I did not want to look for food.  So we found out this place delivers.  We got the BBQ combo, comes with BBQ pork, duck, chicken, fried pork.  Also comes with a few pieces of veggies.  They charge a delivery fee but it comes fast so saves having to ride a train or a cab over there.

Good sized portion.  Hit the spot after a long day!

I'm a big fan of happy hour, but here I like the happy hour for breakfast. Basically, they have specials that include a variety of dishes that comes with a drink and desert.

One of my favorites is beef brisket wonton noodle soup with beef congee (rice porridge), hot coffee and a egg tart for under $4 and it taste good too, The only issue that I have is that this deal ends everyday @ noon.

Get here early, there is limited seats, but once you get in. I'm sure you will enjoy the meal deal and one last thing, show your student ID and you will get 10% discount.

This place serves pretty good dishes, now, they serve like 100s so I cant say they are all good but the select few I tried made it 4 star in my book

Had the chicken congee with fried doughnuts (freshly fried). It was fantastic as congee could be in Chicago. Now, the breakfast set is cheaper, but I prefer the quality and size of the entree....

    1) The breakfast - egg tart, pork congee, shrimp chun fun, and a coffee for less than 5 dollars... 4 stars

    2) Portuguese Chicken in Portuguese sauce - 2 stars, fried baked chicken chunks in a yellow sauce, over fried rice

    3) Hainan Chicken over rice - 4.5 stars, delicious for a meal under $6, comes with veggies and steam white rice

    4) Chicken Congee, fried donuts - delicious but a bit expensive for a bowl plus donuts.. but definitely good! 4 stars

    5) Random baked goods on sale after 5pm, 3.5 stars

    6) Breakfast special - Noodles, Beef Brisket and wontons, egg tart, coffee $5, 4 stars (this was a savior from my hangover)

    7) Beef Hock and Jelly Fish - OMG, amazing 5 stars

Hianan Chicken or many of the "on rice" plates were pretty good for the price.

    Looking forward to returning

As I  pursued more young Hong Kong cafes, I pervaded through Sweet Station. Might as well call the place "Hard Candy". BTW have you seen that movie, what a sick movie. And no, I am not projecting.

Actually it reminds me of this time when I was a freshman in college waiting for the train.  This balding, middle aged,  Caucasian man initiates small talk about the weather (which is actually kinda odd because we were underground with no exposure to the elements). So the train comes, the train arrives completely empty, but he sits down next to me. As a general rule, when a guy is at a urinal and all the other stalls are empty, you at lease leave a one stall gap. Same applies to public transport.

So another red flag. Every time he would try to emphasize a point, he touched my thigh. So at this point, I was like, this is a little more than just friendly, but I was just too polite back then, I didn't know how to intervene.  Good thing he only had a few stations left.

I guess it's somewhat flattering if a handsome age appropriate guy hit on me. But, at this point, I was freakin' out because he fit the movie profile of a serial killer! I tried to keep my answers as vague as possible. One slip up like "yeah, I play tennis for UMD" and he could track me and I end up buried in the woods. This thriller ends with him leaving me a business card and an invitation to drinks.

So what does this story have anything to do with the food at Sweet Station? Nothing. But I can't afford a psychologist, so thanks for another session Dr. Yelp.

Okay, so now onto happy thoughts. Food. They have great breakfast deals. The curry brisket was not as good as Saint Alps. And this is where I discovered my love for almond tea!

I had a great time here last night! We went in without knowing the name of the place, so I can agree with the other reviews concerning the name.  We came in because it was packed, but there was a huge table available. So we came in and were seated ASAP at one of their huge round booths. It was cushy and for 2 people you feel like you need to order LOTS of dishes. So we ordered their "Japanese chicken on a stick", which we thought would be yakatori, but it wasn't, but it was still good. We also ordered their "jumbo pepper shrimp", which was a great dish, but I'd say the shrimps weren't JUMBO. Overall it was a great meal, and we'd consider coming here instead of Saint Alps as there is just so many MORE choices here.
Don't get it wrong, this spot is definitely a restaurant and not a cafe, there weren't as many fun drink choices here, just a lot of straight up food.
