The yellow Currie is awesome 2 on the 1-5 scale is a med at most places. Shrimp Spring Rolls are very fresh and meaty. Served with the best Peanut sauce I have ever had.  I'm only giving it three stars because the portion for the curry has been inconsistent otherwise I would give it a four.

Best yellow curry I've had in my life!  The price was reasonable, and the atmosphere and service were very nice.  Good job!

This place is pretty decent. The yellow curry chicken is good but the place isn't the fanciest. I would come back though.

I am thrilled that I found this place through Yelp, and it totally lived up to it's reviews!!  Thai Curry House is now one of my favorite places to eat Thai food in the Twin Cities area.  (I kind of feel like I'm cheating on Sawatdee)

Being called "Thai Curry House" you would expect them to have fantastic curry, and you would be right!!  Just be aware that their spice scale is a little off.  Even a level 5 (the hottest) is not very spicy.  So if you crave spice like I do, you might want to tell them to kick it up a notch.  The flavors are very authentic, and the consistency of it comes out perfect every time.

Besides their curry I have tried their Holy Basil.  It was very delicious, but I'm not going to lie, I still prefer Sawatdee's.  Also, I've tried many of their appetizers.  I can't remember all of them, but the one that stands out, believe it or not, are their Cream Cheese Wontons.  I know what you're thinking.... how can a cream cheese wonton be impressive?  Thai Curry House has found the way.  Not too thick of a wonton wrapper, filled to the brim with delicious cream cheese, and served with an almost nutty flavored sweet and sour sauce.  Honestly, the best wontons I've ever had.

I still haven't explored their menu as much as I'd like because I always find myself returning to the Green Curry, but you can guarantee that I will be back.

This place is a total hidden gem! Their food is delicious, and the owner is super friendly. I used to eat here frequently for lunch when I used to work in the area, miss it like crazy.

This is great authentic (as in real authentic) Thai food.  I LOVE the yellow curry chicken (with a curry that is so sweet, you can almost drink it).  They do hot here to taste and can make it real life hot, not Minnesota hot.

Here is the strange thing... They have this soup, I forget the name, but it is called the most popular soup in thailand...  It is spicy and sour and has leaves and sticks (lemon grass in it) and has such a strange taste that I am not sure if it tastes bad, but for some reason I can not stop eating it... I get it every time and love it and hate it.  I have never had this reaction to a food before and I think I love loving and hating it.  That being said, someone else try it and tell me if you have the same experience... It is like it is good and awful and I love it.

The food at the Thai Curry house is amazing (the soup is bizarre, but please for the love of God don't let that part of my review turn you away).  It is really a hidden gem in Minnesota and should be on your short list of restaurants to try.

This is the first Thai spot I've been to in Minnesota, and it was pretty good.  We ordered carry-out from here, and was surprised to see such a cute spot out in Burnsville.  I like the cultural look and ambiance inside.  We found out that they do a lunch buffet daily and it seemed like a great price, too.  Our food was ready in a few minutes after we got there.  We got the Thai iced Tea, Chicken Pad Thai, Beef Pad See Ew, Chicken Drunken Noodles, Chicken Tom Yum Soup, and the Papaya Salad.  The stand out was the Chicken Pad Thai which we overstuffed ourselves with.  it was all pretty good, and I wouldn't mind going back to try a curry and the buffet.  The prices weren't too bad either.

Have not had Thai food this good since I left Honolulu two years ago.
We had spring rolls, green papaya salad, Tom Kha (coconut) soup, beef salad, and panang curry. Everything was out of this world. As I type, there is still a party in my mouth. Everything was ordered mild, spice 1, and the panang still had a slight bite.

    Everything was clean and neat.

I came here per Gary's review of having been in Thailand & authenticity, as well as other reviews.

Decor- this isn't hole in the wall. I think that conjures ideas of dingy, dirty places. This is not, they've put effort into decor. It's rather "cute"

Food- some authentic combos you don't find frequently outside of Thailand. Did ask for my som tam thai (means w dried shrimp), they couldn't accommodate. So much for special requests.

Som tam- Excellent, I asked for mild thinking it would be Thai mild, but it was like MN mild. I loved the fact that fresh not bottled lime juice was used. Also attention to detail, the peanuts weren't bulk roasted peanuts, these peanuts showed signs of home-made traditional roasting. Impressive!

Beef jerky- It was so-so, there was an unusual odor to it which reminded me of anatomy class. I've never come across a Thai jerky with this odor. I did appreciate the fine cuts of meat. Not sure if it was a curing process thing or the smell from the bamboo basket nearby.

Sticky rice- well done, but absorbed the atypical odor of the bamboo basket (i.e. didn't taste like bamboo, but something else), so that was a bit off-putting.

Red curry- Ordered as take out. TBD. From the looks, it looked well done, it appeared to have characteristics of a home-made rather than canned paste. I'm excited!

Service- I wasn't greeted by warmth as others indicated in their posts. Actually the guy seemed annoyed I came in. Maybe cause it was 8pm? I did see 2 other Indian patrons order take-out, maybe he's had bad experiences with the brown folk? He was really nice when I was paying though.

My favorites at Thai Curry: Tom yum soup, drunken noodles, yellow curry.  My husband loves the green curry with chicken.  The owner always jokes that you can get spice from 1-5 unless you really love hot, then you can get it up to 10.   We always have great service.  Take out is quick and easy, too.

This hole-in-the-wall is my favorite Thai place in the Twin Cities.  The food is authentic, well-presented and customize-able (important for a vegetarian like me).  Like the other reviews have said, it's a hidden gem in Burnsville.  They also do take-out, which is just wonderful for those nights where you want high quality Thai food, but want to stay in and watch TV in your pajamas (perhaps I've said too much?).  Try the massaman curry; it is my comfort food.

The location isn't great, but you'll forget the ugly strip mall surroundings once you take your first bite.  Not only is the food delicious, but the chef/owner takes special care to present the most beautiful dishes.  Carrots become delicate butterfly garnishes, and the food is plated flawlessly.  And the food, mmm.  If you like spicy food, they'll accommodate you.  If you have a delicate Minnesotan palate and onions are as hot as you can handle, then you're safe here, too.

I'm not crazy about the lunch buffet, but I'm not fond of them in general.  You can order off the menu at lunch, so stick with that.  The Tom Yum soup is amazing, the cream cheese wontons are not the same old-same old you usually find at Asian restaurants.  Try the laab, it's wonderful.  My favorite is the panang curry, made extra spicy.  The staff won't let you down with a good recommendation, so just ask them if you're not sure what to get.

Portions are generous and prices are reasonable.  One of the best restaurants in Burnsville!

Doesn't seem like much from the outside but this place has some darn good Pad Thai, Drunken Noodles and Coconut curry dishes! Never had bad food here. Price is fair.

Forget about the franchise Thai restaurants. This place is by far has the best taste of Thailand. I've to many provinces of Thailand dozens of times. The staff are very friendly. I tell them a dish I've had in Thailand and they will make for me even though it's not on the menu.

Well one thing good about my past engagement to a pretty little Thai girl was learning about Thai food.  I live near this Restaurant and I have gone there for the lunch buffet a dozen or more times.  I never have ordered from the menu, but I bet it would be good.  They have traditional Thai tables and cushions which I think you can use but I have never seen anyone do it.  If you have a little bit of fish sauce in your veins this is the place to go.

As long as you are not expecting fine dining it is an option for acceptable Thai food for a fairly cheap price.  We stuck with vegetarian options and I recall the green papaya salad was fun.

An old friend brought me here for their lunch buffet a few weeks back.  The food was ok, but nothing special.  I guess I expected more from a hole-in-the-wall strip mall Thai place.

    Lunch Buffet for $7.45

Not the best Thai around the cities but for quick in and out buffet style lunch I would say its alright.

Stopped here after work one day when I was craving Thai food.
The interior is nice - i definitely like it.
I may have ordered the wrong thing however.  Maybe should have gotten the curry.
I ordered drunken noodles - I've only had good drunken noodles at two place - CO and Chicago - and have been in search of a good place in mpls area.

They were okay - they used the big noodles - which they haven't at a few other thai places around the area - but they spices or lack thereof on the dish missed the mark.  Maybe I needed to order it spicier - not sure.

Anyways - will definitely have to go back and check out some curries, etc - but if you are looking for drunken noodles in the TC, keep looking.

Good Thai food should be a well balanced combination of sweet, sour and hot; unfortunately at Thai Vurry House is mostly sweet.

Often the defining dishes of a good Thai place is their curry and pad thai so after reading the Yelp reviews I decided to order dinner from Thai Curry House.  Big disappointment.  Our chicken curry had maybe 4 pieces of chicken and it was too sweet.  The pad thai needed more tamarind sauce and eggs.

It's too bad, but it seems that my search must go on to find some more decent places to dine near home.

This place is a tiny Thai restaurant in a strip mall in Burnsville - definitely a hidden gem!

The food is good - authentic Thai food with a variety of noodles, curries, and traditional Thai dishes.

prices are reasonable and the portions are quite large.

The ambiance is pretty good for a hole-in-the-wall.

all in all, a good find!

As the other reviewers have said....this place really is a little gem tucked away in a Burnsville strip mall.  The food is authentic and the prices are great too!  Last time I went we got a lot of food (2 appetizers, 2 entrees, jasmine tea and dessert) for $30-something.

Don't skip the appetizers they are a special treat...especially the spring rolls, chicken satay and thai beef jerky.  Special touches give this place a leg up on the competition: plates come garnished with veggies in the shape of butterflies & flowers, tea comes in a little cast iron pot, there are a few places to sit on bamboo mats on the floor.  Don't get me wrong this place isn't fancy, the ambiance isn't amazing, but compared to similar ethnic mom-and-pop restaurants this one is definitely ahead of the game.

This place is a little known gem in Burnsville.  My mother in law lives in Burnsville and is hooked on this place.  My wife went several times and brought back leftovers.  She took me there twice and I was very pleasantly surprised.  It has a great atmosphere, good prices, and very, very good food.  You go to the bathroom and find high end soaps and tea infused lotions.

I'd had Thai food before and didn't like it, I didn't care for peanuts in a dish.  Because of this I was reluctant to go but my wife coerced me and I liked this food very much (no peanuts).  The only thing I'm not a fan of is coconut milk in the curry, but I guess this is a staple of Thai food and all the curry dishes here have coconut milk in them.  The best part about this place is the spring rolls.  In general I don't care for spring rolls, but these spring rolls are something really special.  Fresh and yummy are the best words to describe them (and I think they only cost like $3 for a plate.)

Nestled in a strip mall next to a Russian market and an auction house, you'd never imagine that this would be anything special. The Thai Curry House is definitely something special. After my coworkers and I discovered this little gem, we went back almost every day for two weeks ... including weekends.

The food is incredible. The wait staff is enjoyable and the atmosphere is rather surprisingly pleasant. You walk in the door and are treated to not just the standard store front in a strip mall, but a section of reclined seating and a variety of other little things that make the experience much more than just pulling up a chair.

For lunch, they offer a buffet with a different curry daily and one of the house specials. If you're lucky, you'll hit a day with pineapple fried rice and catfish curry, but really, everything is good. The food is prepared near perfectly. The vegetables are never over-cooked; the rice is always perfect; the meat is always tender and never over-done. Really, I don't have any criticisms.

If you go for dinner, the prices are very reasonable and the portions are just about right for two people (or left-overs). The website features their full menu so you can get a good idea of their offerings and the price range.
