Pizza is just ok. Average at best. Ok wraps. Great sub rolls. Service is good. Mostly friendly people that work there.

Eh, so so.  Not bad in a pinch.  Definitely average quality food (though the pizza is, at least to us, better than other reviews).  Seems inconsistent overall.

They are fast and efficient (if call if for pickup, and they say ten minutes, it'll be done in nine - so don't be late getting your food or it won't be hot).

They don't take credit cards for less than $20 orders, and we always laugh at the tip cup exploding with about $900 in ones.  Really?  They make that much in tips?  I don't think so.  The staff here is generally indifferent to you (no matter how big your order) and not terribly nice.  Not in a fun "soup nazi" kind of way, just completely indifferent.

But for a neighborhood with few options, it's passable.

Toms pizza is a great place to go after a long day at work or school. At toms they have a variety of foods.Such as pizza, sandwhiches, subs and salads. To be honest I go o Toms Pizza on half day Tuesdays after school with my sister. The pizza there is just right thin or thick. The salads are  delisious and they come with pita bread and dressing. If you haven't been there you should really go there. But the food is a little over priced.

I don't see any mentions in other reviews of this, so maybe there's like a code of silence about it. But, at the risk of being taken out in the night by pizza apron-wearing ninjas, here goes:

    The Sicilian pizza is fantastic.

It's not on the printed menu. It's not on the big menu above the counter. Off to the side there's a little sign advertising Sicilian pizza by the slice. But you can order a whole one, in or to go. It's about, I don't know, $15? I usually get a couple of toppings--mushroom & onion are good--so it's close to $18.

It's a classic Sicilian crust, thick and square, but it accomplishes what many restaurants fail to do, which is, it is not a massively thick, flavorless crust. It's just the right thickness, chewy and soft on the inside, a little crunch on the outside. Not too much red sauce, not too much cheese (if you have to have a buttload of cheese, order it extra), good covering on the toppings.

They only make so many of them per day so you may want to call ahead and make sure they have some. It takes a little longer than regular pizza, about 25 minutes.

Everything else I've tried--the cold subs, the regular pizza--has been so-so, pretty much standard fare for a sub shop. But the Sicilian...I'm pretty sure I'm taking my life in my hands just telling you about it.

Totally a local joint. If you're there a lot you know everyone. I got turned into it by some co workers and I really liked the atmosphere. Good prices and a great selection, my only real qualm with the whole experience was the pizza crust. It seemed like the different pizza types I've tried - legitimately all of them - are great and well thought out varieties, but the crust on their pizza really sucks. It reminds me of the pizza crust on those frozen personal pan pizzas you would get in elementary school.

    Otherwise I was completely satisfied.

I live in the neighborhood but I've only been here twice. I've opted for a salad each time. I was served quickly and my food was good. While they post a $20 credit card minimum, they will take credit card for purchases over $10.

A $20 credit card minimum for sub-par food?  No thank you.  I won't eat here any more, but sometimes my husband seems to forget how bad it is.  He ordered chicken cutlet with rice, and the rice was clumpy and disgusting.  How can you mess up rice so badly?!?  There are so many better pizza/sub places in the area, why bother going here?  Wellesley North End Pizza is much, much better!  Sheesh, even Domino's!

This is a solid pizza shop, nothing out of the ordinary, but good!
Great staff...many have been there several years!
Kinda like good pub food, enjoyable but nothing extraordinary
Would love to see some gourmet pies.....everthing is too run of the mill

Tom's has decent pizza....sometimes.  I don't go here often but sometimes the pizza is amazing, and other times its is overly greasy with bad crust.  More attention should be paid to product continuity.  To be honest, I usually order from Domino's because it's cheaper and it's better pizza.

    This place is gross!!
I arrived and thought it weird the place was deserted.

I stepped inside and thought is would be a random run of the mill pizza shop but to my surprise there was one of the cooks handling some of the pizza toppings with bare hands.  He was picking up bacon pieces and dropping them in the box of toppings and then picking em up again and sort of playing with them.....

I said hey don't you guys make food wearing gloves and his reply was "The oven will cook away the germs" EWWW

The board of health should be onto these greasy dudes.

ps. they probably don't take credit cards cause they are cheapos.

Considering the general lack of good pizza shops in the Auburndale area, this place is acceptable.

The pizza is pretty soggy at times, so I generally opt for a wrap or sub. The best one they have is probably the greek wrap because it is the least greasy thing on the menu. Forget about fries or onion rings - they are so greasy and bready that it's like licking a deep fryer.

The guys that work there are pretty surly and could use a course in customer service.

My husband and I just moved to Auburndale, and were excited to try the closest pizza place to our new home.  We had friends coming over, so we ordered a large veggie and a large Tom's special.  Both were greasy, soggy, and tasteless.  The crust itself was lacking flavor.  I would not order from Tom's again.

I still enjoy the food, but last time we ordered over the phone my boyfriend when to pick it up, and nothing was made. He was asked if he still wanted the food, and was then asked to wait. He paid full price.  I don't call that good customer service. Whenever I mention Tom's as a take-out option now, he rather not get it...

We enjoy a pizza from here once a month or so.  It is cheesey-- and a little thicker on the crust side. Convenient, and the price is right.

Surprisingly delicious Greek-style pizza and sub shop.  It is the only decent place to eat near the Turtle Lane Playhouse where I occasionally take in a show.  The portions are extremely generous and everything is cooked and prepared right on the spot.
The chicken wings are absolutely amazing- not greasy at all with great flavor and crispiness, their fries are the perfect combination of thin and crispy.  Pizza has a really good sauce and crispy crust, and also surprisingly not greasy.  The chicken salad pita, a favorite of mine, is beyond delicious for a shop of this type, very fresh and satisfying.  They have lots of veggie options, salads, and healthy grilled versions of dishes so it is entirely possible to eat there and still eat well.
A word of caution, It says on Yelp that they accept credit cards, but that is a lie. There is also no reasonably distanced ATM near the restaurant so if you are looking to eat there, bring cash.

This looks like your basic sub shop, but the pizza and subs are just a little better than what you might expect at a place like this. The Greek-style pizza is quite good, with lots of flavor coming from the cheese and sauce, and less grease than a typical Greek pizza. And the steak and cheese subs are outstanding here as well. This was a place I used to hit a lot when I played softball in the area, and I never had a bad meal here.

IMHO, the best pizza inside the 128 loop. The Philly cheesesteak sub is awesome. Try the Vesuvius pizza. I will continue to support them for years to come.

    More like 2.5.

Had a mediocre sub from here for lunch; not worth the calories or money.
