So far (it's only been a week- but I've eaten at 4 local pizzerias) this is my standout favorite. The employees were very nice. The pizza was excellent. I ordered a large Buffalo Chicken. It was a perfect amount of spice and the Asiago cheese was awesome on it. Usually I have to pull something off on specialty pizzas- but not on this one. The topping portions were just-right. The size of the pizza was a little smaller than what I expected but the value makes up for it. The Crust was a little on the chewy side and in my opinion that made it... Also... perfect. The white meat chicken was of excellent quality as well.
I am excited to try more of the house developed combinations.
Went to Boombozz at around 10pm on a Friday night as it was one of the few places that was still open. We ordered a medium cheese pizza, an individual Carnitas Libre (slow cooked carnitas with creamy Ranchero sauce, caramelized peppers and onions, Roma tomatoes, cilantro and mozzarella and asiago cheeses) and an individual Tuscan Chicken (Grilled chicken, portobello mushrooms, red onions, Roma tomatoes and blended cheeses on a creamy garlic sauce-topped crust) - we wanted thin crusts on all 3 but when we got home, we saw the individual pizzas were hand-tossed. So I called the manager who explained to me that it is difficult to make a pizza of that size with a thin crust but she proceeded to get my information to send me a gift certificate. Now that's great service!! I'm definitely going back because of this...oh, and the 3 pizzas were delicious too!!
Review Source:So while driving around in Louisville, this was a complete surprise. Â Was hungry for lunch and drove by and stopped. Â As lucky as that. Â Nice little quaint joint with friendly staff and the smell of delicous pizza as soon as we walked in the door. Â We ordered the D'Sienna pizza with a delicious local stout beer and it was heavenly. Â This quite possibly could have been one of the best pizza's I've ever had... ever. Â It was that good and I would highly recommend it if in town.
Review Source:We were looking for a local pizza place while staying in Louisville for the night and happened to drive by BoomBuzz.
There really isn't anything I can say that was wrong with our experience at this restaurant. The seated us fast, kept our glasses filled and even supplied more bread (for free) for our Goat Cheese Appetizer. (Which was very yummy!). The manager even came by and ask us about our food, which was nice.
We got the Italian Sausage and Pepperoni thin crust and is really good The sausage was burnt a little on top and covered a good part of the pizza and seemed to add a little bit of spicy to the pizza. Â Our pizza was given a thumbs up by everyone in our group.
Pizza was great, staff was friendly and attended to our needs and the restaurant itself was nice, clean and modern.
This place lost a few stars because we had to wait for seats in an almost empty restaurant. Â Nothing annoys me more than waiting for seats that are empty other than ordering after a bunch of land whales that all order "special" food.
After we were seated the food came fast. Â The pizza was good, 4 stars for sure. Â Nice NY style thin crust, but not cracker thin. Â Toppings were the appropriate amount and the flavors were good. Â I'll come back but might try one of the other stores. Â This place reminds me of Bazbeuax's in Indianapolis.
This is one of my stops on my quest to find the best local pizza. This was very meh.... not good or bad but not as advertised. I had read that they had very authentic thin crust Italian pizza, but that was not the case. Again, not a terrible pizza but honestly no better than Papa John's. Bearno's has better cheese sticks, Impelizzari's better pizza.
The prices are decent, the pick up is easy and quick, but I don't think it's going to be my Louisville pizza take out destination. It simply wasn't memorable... we had the margherita pizza and it was just off.... and it's been crossed off the search list. Maybe their other locations are better? The Frankfort one was just not great. This one really feels like a chain restaurant, with it's on the wall menu and small order at the window dining area, just like the aforementioned Papa John's with fewer locations.
