Expensive drinks
Did not have dinner here, just drinks. We got there early and left at about midnight. There was already a long line forming, so plan accordingly. At about 10:30 the 'whiskey room' wasn't allowing anyone to come in... Then at about 11:00 the back room behind the stage was roped off until more people came out.
A huge speakeasy with 4 different rooms and concepts which is nice because if you're just there for dinner you can avoid the loud jazz band, burlesque dancers, and dj's. Specialty drinks are good, they'll run you $10-$15 but they are strong!
Would like to come back for dinner sometime. Food looked amazing.
Really more of a 3.5. Â I'd give 4 stars to the place itself. Â Such a unique vibe, with the big band playing in the main room, plus lots of fun smaller rooms, awesome big bars and smaller drink carts scattered about. Â Sadly the food was more of a 3, although to be fair we only did smaller plates - perhaps the entrees are better. Â Just be sure to make a reservation or show up very early if you'd like a main table, otherwise you'll be relegated to the smaller tables in the lounge areas, which make it hard to eat a full meal.
Review Source:So, it's probably not fair to give this review because I actually haven't eaten here but I guess that's part of my review. On many recommendations, I came with a friend from out of town to check out the place. The space is really cool and the decor is amazing. Clearly, a lot of effort was put into the design which I can really appreciate. However, I wasn't really sure what was going on when my friend and I came in. The different sections weren't really explained clearly and we both felt confused as to what we should do and where we could and could not sit down because most of it was "reserved." And the spaces that weren't reserved, were supposedly high-top tables close to the bar and by the bar itself, but there was basically no seating. We ended up leaving out of sheer annoyance because honestly we are constantly working and making decisions every damn day, the last thing we wanted was to engage in critical thinking for dinner. Seriously. Anyway, I'll be sure to make a reservation next time and give another review.
