Really, Really good. I often travel on quick trips for work - get in late and eat in bad hotel restaurants or just settling for some snacks and a grumbling stomach. Woolley's, located in the Embassy Suites at MSP, is a godsend to a biz traveller like me. Open late, the Woolley's menu is available at "The Corner Bar" making dining alone comfortable. I had the short ribs. Perfectly tender and not swimming in some saucy braising liquid. The risotto and butternut squash puree combination under the beef added creaminess and spice from the ginger hiding in the squash purée that went perfectly with the Brussels sprouts scattered on the plate. The crunchy sweet potato things added some crunch, but I kept wishing they would stop covering up all the other goodness on my plate. My compliments to a great restaurant when I wasn't expecting it. I can't wait to be stranded at MSP again so I can stay at the Embassy Suites and have a great meal at Woolley's.

The wait staff rocks too!

My boyfriend and I decided to try Woolley's during restaurant week because of the number of menu options were extensive. We were seated at a booth which oversaw the elevators and had a main walkway next to it. The elevators have very bright lights on the outside of it and you can see the patrons on the elevators due to the fact it was glass encased. Out of the corner of my eyes during dinner, I kept seeing these elevators lights going up and down randomly which was quite disconcerting and eerie. The hotel patrons obviously were using the main walkway which we were next to. The views were a couple doing public displays of affection for an extended period of time and adolescents with swimming trucks falling off their buttocks. I felt like I a was in a carnival. The food was average. I exited feeling like i witnessed a part of a public performance art vs. a dining experience such as Tony and Tinas wedding.

Been to woolley before, usually when I stay at the Embassy. Tonight I was staying down the street. Wanted to avoid the mall and chains so try woollies, again. Food was very good as I remembered.
I like the "corner bar" area. Tables set up in the bar makes dining alone more comfortable. service was fast and friendly. Wine list was way above average and tons of beers on tap.
Tonight I had the walleye panko with a wedge salad. Both where very good, although a bit pricy, again, hotel restaurant by the airport,so...

There is lots of poor quality and chain food in the area so Woolleys is an excellent alternative.

Normally I try to avoid hotel restaurants like the plague, but I was forced into this one after being stranded by the airport due to all the lovely snow just before Thanksgiving. I liked the server a lot, she gave great recommendations and they were all good. Calamari wasn't rubbery and tasted great, and the filet was cooked on the lighter side of medium rare just like I asked. The cut of beef wasn't the best in the world, but the service and prep made up for it.

We dined on a Monday night so it wasn't very busy. Our server was very nice. I had the Black and Bleu Pasta was fantastic! I had it without the bleu cheese crumbles. It was spicy and so delicious!

Two of us had the salad bar, it was good. Your run of the mill selections.

The Chicken Caprisi was good; had a very strong wine flavor to it.

The Cheesecake was good. I wouldn't recommend the Carrot Cake as it didn't have a lot of flavor.

Will definitely be back.

My family came to Woolley's for my wifes birthday. She wanted steak for her birthday dinner, and I found a gift certificate on http://restaurant.com for this place, so we figured it would be good to try.

I was impressed by the wait staff, as they were very attentive, and were very nice and friendly to my 7 year old son.

Steaks were cooked to perfection, and the salad bar was a bonus.

Although, being in the hotel atrium was a bit annoying because of the people all around.

I had a gift certificate from http://www.restaurant.com. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by the food. I wouldn't normally pick a hotel restaurant, but since it is one of the Twin Cities Originals, I thought we'd give it a shot.

We went for lunch on a Monday - the restaurant was very quiet. My fiance and I both ordered the filet which came with mashed potatoes and vegetables. I have to admit it was one of the best steaks I've ever had - super tender, cooked perfectly and good flavor.

We added the soup and salad bar for $4 each. The salad bar had a good selection of salads and salad toppings and two kinds of soup. The soup was also delicious.

I'm not sure I'd go for dinner because the prices are a little steep for Bloomington, but it was affordable for lunch. Service was attentive but not over board, the way I like it.

My mom got a free http://restaurant.com gift certificate, so we decided to use it at a place that we normally wouldn't go to. Personally, I would not normally choose a hotel restaurant, but that's what she wanted to do. It's located in an Embassy Suites, and is situated in the atrium area, but not to be confused with the regular hotel restaurant, which is also in the open-air atrium area.

Anyway, we went as a group of 5, plus a toddler. The staff was really friendly and in love with my nephew. They made sure that he had things to occupy himself while everyone else was waiting for their food or eating their meals. I ordered the top sirloin, and it was really tender and flavorful. My sides were good too. The biggest complaint is that the potatoes were a bit salty. I also tried my brother-in-law's asparagus and it was the same story. My mom and sister also commented on the level of salt. I think the problem was the the cooks must have been using coarse sea salt like it was regular table salt, and really piling it on.

That being said, plus the location, and price, I probably won't be back. I can get a better meal elsewhere for the price. I am adding a star because the staff were really friendly and my steak was actually pretty decent.

Wolley's Restaurant handled the Catering for my wedding... let me tell you it was FABULOUS! They went above and beyond what I expected. I expected your typically wedding buffet and was blown away with the display of the food and taste of the food! Their servers were outstanding constantly checking on not only my groom and me, but our guests as well. I saw them throughout the evening chatting with guests, refilling drinks, offering food from the buffet and items from the candy/chocolate fountain table around the room!

From start to finish, Woolley's was the perfect fit for our (and anyone's) reception party. We were thrilled to work with their Catering and banquet staff!
