A very, very typical bar. Â The food is on the cheap side, both in taste and in price.
It's small (one room, no separations besides the kitchen/bathrooms) but comfortable. Â There are only one or two tables large enough to accommodate groups larger than 4 people, and they're usually taken.
The service is great! Â I've been plenty of times and never been left hanging or needing service.
A quick word about the karaoke-
It's very loud and quite crowded. Â During karaoke the noise gets to be so loud that you cannot carry conversations with people two feet away. Â The DJs selection is poor. Â Â If you're looking for karaoke in Manassas go to Hard Times.
Typical hours, the doormen are friendly, quiet and courteous and do not mind anyone stepping out for cigarettes.
The restaurant distributed buy one-get one entree free (up to $10) in the mail so we gave this a try. They also have discount coupons on <a href="/redir?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.restaurant.com&s=8cac03c1efb29efee41b3411fe3b107de69265557b5804295adb319e7abd90ce" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://www.restaurant.com</a>
We ordered lunch portions of fried shrimp and 14 oz. T-bone steak. I ordered the steak rare, and it was definitely cold in the middle, so I asked if they could bring it up to medium rare, which they did and it was just right. I had the side of red potatoes and mixed veggies. This was a great meal for the price, $10.99.
Wife had fried shimp, fries, and cole slaw and she liked everything about the meal. I tried one shrimp and the french fries. The french fries were crunchy and very good. The shrimp were a bit small, but tasty nonetheless.
It was Noon when we arrived (Saturday) and it was quiet with one other table and a few at the bar area, but the service and food was 4/5 and we plan to return.
I disagree, the location is handy, but not on the "main strip" of business 234 (a half-block off, though). I hope that they can make this work because the food and menu prices make this a good value, even at full price (no coupons).
Tried this place just the other day. Â IT's not in a great location and seems to have very little traffic but I hope it picks up. Â The service was very friendly, the nachos, cajun chicken sandwich, and brownie sundae I had were all excellent. Â I'll definitely be back to give it another try.
Review Source:A new restaurant opened in Manassas and I finally stopped in to try them. They have been open for about a month but this location has not much going on for itself, as it has been several different places in last few year and was even unoccupied for quite a while. They have hardly any business and appear closed. Â Anybody familiar with the area, it is the old Anita's on Lomond, across form the Chevy dealership.
The interior is nice. Obviously all redone. Black drop ceiling with burgundy and off-white wall colors. Booths surrounding the dining room and the center is occupied with tables. The bar is horseshoe shape, 5 or 6 beers on tab, maybe 15 seats. They also have a Golden Tee and several flat screen TVs but not to the point that it seems like a sports bar.
The menu is comprised of mostly typical American fare, although they also offer carne asada wraps, guacamole dip and pupusas. The prices are really low as the cheapest burger sets you back $4.99 and they even have a pasta dish that cost just as little. Pupusas are $1.50 served with a side of slaw. They offer those as appetizers.
I tried the pupusa with pork and it was tasty, no doubt. This was my first time having them, thus I cannot speak for the authenticity of the flavor or preparation, however they do offer them with Lorocos which is very authentic.
The Cajun burger was also good. Plenty big with fresh ingredients, yet it seemed surprisingly light. The fries were OK, little pale i.e. undercooked, not very crispy.
I tried the funnel cake sundae. Deep fried waffle sticks with cinnamon sugar served with vanilla ice cream and caramel syrup. No complains here.
The place was empty when I was there, so the service was good and personable. I think they could earn a higher than 4 star rating. Let's see what the future brings.
They also have very late hours which is convenient since most of the places on Restaurant Alley close early, too early.
