Friday July 19-
Hostess was very friendly and we were seated at our choice of tables, the restaurant had maybe 3 other tables of people at 6:40 pm. Â But it soon filled up, our server was a very professional model beautiful woman and she did a great job throughout. That is where the good part ends. To put it bluntly- the food is overpriced crap!. We started with 2 cocktails, my Manhattan was watered down or just poorly made but passable. Tried the appetizer sampler platter for $18! and got 4 very small and somewhat cold items. the 1 slice of fried green tomato was cold and the coating was soft. The 1 fried jalepeno tasted good but was very small, cup of macaroni and cheese with Cheetos on top tasted good but was worth about $2 and 2 deviled eggs, not bad. Overall not worth the money . Â I had fried chicken and the entire plate was a total failure. The chicken was soggy and had a shake and bake texture to it, the mashed potatoes were either meant for a 4 year old or a 94 year old. while they tasted Ok, the had a apple sauce texture and ran all over the plate. No chef should have ever served something like that! great gravy though. the last thing , which I saw a number of people leaving on their plat was the collard greens., Greens have to be cooked by someone who knows how to do it or they are bitter.. These were bitter and just had a bad taste.
wrapped up the thoroughly forgettable meal with a mushy starchy bananas foster bread pudding, nice flavor but horrible consistency. Overall left $98 poorer and felt like I had been cheated. There are too many good restaurants in the area to go to the Attic and waste your money and time and I will never go back
Love this place, took outta town friends for dinner and got everything...Later took my sister had great time and then later went to brunch and was pretty awesome especially the bloody mary!
Mac n cheetos was fun, service was excellent, Innovative Bloody Marys, Short rib poutine was delicious
This is a cool place with a good vibe.  The place is an old house that's been re-done as a restaurant.  Great patio space and lots of people  make it a nice place to hang out and eat.  The downside of the house situation is that the hardwood floors and old walls make for a fairly loud experience.  I would not come here for a romantic evening.
The staff (hostess and waitress) were friendly and observant. Â Four stars for this, because nothing can ruin a dinner like bad service. Â It took a couple of minutes for the waitress to come back to tell me that the they were out of the bourbon roll I ordered, and then another few minutes to come back to tell my mom that they were out of the meat loaf she ordered. Â Oh, brother; I mean, it's a Saturday night! Â
My replacement order of the crab patty was not very good. Â In fact, the flavor was so bland that I just couldn't eat the whole thing. Â The fries had flavor, but were not crisp. Â My mom said her risotto was good. Â The mussels we had as an appetizer center somewhere between our shared experience. Â The flavor of the sauce was terrific, but the mussels themselves were mealy. Â Definitely not fresh.
Decent price ($30) on a bottle of your average Malbec, but nothing to write home about there either.
All in all, my experience was just okay here. Â It's hard to judge on one unremarkable meal, but I probably won't go back. Â Love the venue, but I think they should work on the food.
Having been a fan of Lashers, we decided to try out The Attic. Â The wait staff were friendly and professional.
The fried green tomatoes and spinach salad were very good.
My wife had the special pasta dish that she was happy with, it had a nice smokey flavor.
I on the other hand had the Shrimp/Crawfish étouffeé.  As another reviewer has stated, it tasted fishy, I described it to our waitress as tasting stale.  The crawfish were not fresh and most probably canned.  I couldn't take more than two bites.  The waitress was quick to exchange it for another entree.  I had the Short Rib Poutine, which was ok, but nothing to come back for.
The bread pudding desert was very good, but the chocolate soufle was average. Â After getting home, I can't get rid of the taste of the meal, which sometimes is o.k., but not in this case.
I'm afraid that if they don't come up with better dishes they won't last a year.
Great service. Â Food--not so much. Â Not even close to the former owners' quality. Â The menu is very limited and not tasty. Â The wine list consists of mystery wines, but they are happy to let you bring your own with $15 corkage--pretty high for a restaurant that has so little to offer in the way of a wine list. Â It seems to be aimed at a less discerning diner. Â Rather noisy but not unbearable. Â There is outdoor dining especially for large groups. Â Go early as parking is very tight in the area. Â They do have a parking lot, but you may have to find parking on the street which is a challenge.
Review Source:I should have known I was in for a disappointing experience when the hostesses asked if we had a reservation. Â Upon the answer, "No," a disapproving (?) look came across one of their faces and Hostess #1 said, "It's going to be about a 30 minute wait." Â To which Hostess #2 did a cursory look around the patio and over her shoulder and said, "Well, more like 10 to 15 minutes."
After our brief wait, we were seated. Â The interior was cute and the Mason jar chandelier was a nice touch.
We had reviewed the menu online before coming down and I had my heart set on the appetizer sampler.
The appetizer plates came out. Â Then we waited. Â It finally came out and looked nice, but the items I expected to be warm were cold, as if the entire sampler sat in the kitchen before someone realized that it was to be sent out. Â The only saving grace was the spicy Cheeto-topped mac 'n cheese. Â Although it too was cold, it was delicious.
Our entrees-Shrimp/Crawfish étouffeé & Chicken Gumbo-tasted funny.  I could have bet money that the roux for the gumbo tasted nearly burned.  The Étouffeé tasted fishy and the seafood seemed it came to restaurant frozen and about to turn.
May or may not be back for breakfast and Bloody Marys, as I've heard that was good.
Overall - disappointing experience.
Although it was an ordeal to get here (no thanks to google maps gps), and after waiting half an hour for our food our waitress came to say she forgot to put in our order, I actually really liked it here. Â
Our waitress was really nice and sincerely apologetic about the missed order. She even offered free dessert to make up for it! Bananas foster bread pudding for the win by the way.
The food was delicious and fresh. Cajun fries had a little kick, fried chicken was perfectly seasoned and crispy, mashed potatoes were creamy, and the country gravy ontop was stellar! Next time I find myself in Long Beach I'll definitely be stopping by again.
Ever just want to kick it on the front porch with a good drink, great food, and amazing friends? This is what I love about The Attic. It has a down home Long Beach feel. It goes a little creole with it's dishes but remembers that it's still only a stone's throw from the beach. Each of these attributes are reflected in the flavor of The Attic experience.
Let's talk about the delictable eats - We tried the Man n Cheetos with bacon. Talk about mouth wateringly delicious! And for a great price. To our table also came a shrimp po' boy as well as a pot pie. Each of them was right on point and left us happy.
The service - AMAZING! Our waitress was very attentive and even recommended the chipotle mayo for the fries.
The price - Absolutely reasonable for the quality.
I'm looking forward to coming back to The Attic for years to come. It is sure to become a classic LBC establishment!
Looked up some reviews on yelp after I drove by the place, and it peaked my interest enough that I thought my g/f and I should try it.
Definitely not let down - the food was extraordinary. We shared the poutine appetizer to start. This was the BEST poutine i've ever had, and the helping was very generous. We also both had the chicken pot pie for dinner - wow... Absolutely perfect, and was served SUPER hot. There is a bit of a heavy peppery "spice" to it. I loved it, but my g/f said it was on the verge of too spicy. We both had the Strawberry Lemonade for drinks and it was fantastic.
I'm so glad I live right in the neighborhood! We will, for sure, make this place a habit!
Service wasn't bad either (it wasn't super crowded).
Great restaurant for brunch or dinner. Usually come here for the crab cakes, so good. I love the outdoor patio especially during summertime.  I have  been here several times but i would recommend the crappy patty. This is a crab burger comes with slaw or avocado. Overall all their dishes are really tasty and well presented too.
Review Source:This place is awesome for brunch and morning drinking! They offer custom Bloody Marys and Martinis menus. How awesome is that!?! The food was divine! I totally recommend the Eggs Benedict. Service is ok, mostly due to so many people eating here. Be prepared to wait. Lots of hipster sightings.
The location has plenty of indoor/outdoor seating. Great for large groups!
Bottoms up!
I'm glad we tried The Attic, the food was awesome. It was nice to eat a meal where the chef actually made everyday dishes very unique. I had the pot pie, it was very good but the only complaint was that it was a bit small. The wife had a pasta dish that was huge so i ate off her plate and i was satisfied. The beers on that particular day were only $3, each day one drink is discounted all night. The sweets were also great, we had the trio sampler. We will be back soon!
Review Source:BLOODY MARY"S ANYONE?
How many ways can you make a Bloody Mary? They have this list, like if you at a sushi bar for all the different kind of ingredients. I opted for the traditional
Even though they are known for their BM's,
my favorite was the ESPRESSO MARTINIS! Real cream thats the bomb! Oh soooooooo good!
The food was not what I expected, a little different, real southern home cooking, I would say. The menu was smaller and most dishes were a bit heavy.
Havent tried breakfast but it seems to be packed.
Big outside seating area!
Nice little change for the area.
Half off martinis? Â On a Monday? Â Well played!
Apparently, there are drink specials each day, but I got lucky and went on a Monday. Â They also have a build your own bloody mary option (daily).
The food was great; much of the dinner menu is southern-inspired. Â The husband and I had the pot pie, shrimp creole, and mac 'n cheetos (mac 'n cheese with bacon covered with crushed spicy cheetos). Â All of it was delicious!!
To top it off, our waitress, Meghan, was phenomenal.
Had no idea what this restaurant offered.  Was pleasantly surprised.   Great old Craftsman house turned restaurant. Great service, food is Cajun 'inspired' but with some interesting updates. Aka.  Chicken fried steak Benedict.  Whoa-it was so good.  Cajun seasoning on the potatoes   I didn't try the Bloody Mary's but they had a menu with the choices.  I'd love to try dinner there soon-and I shall!
Review Source:Pros: Tasty comfort food, good service
Cons: A Â little pricey. Old structure needs repair.
We had a pleasant meal here. The Attic serves southern comfort food/comfort food with southern influence. For instance, the chicken pot pie has a heavy, spiced cream sauce. Mac and Cheetos are their version of mac and cheese. Instead of onion toppers or bread crumbs, it's Cheetos!
Although the Mac and Cheetos was a little blander than expected, our two entrees, the chicken fried steak, and the chicken pot pie, were excellent. They were a little heavy, with cream based sauces, but it was a special occasion meal, so we didn't mind.
The Attic is located in the former Lasher's building, a craftsman style home with abundant patio seating. The interior is nicely decorated, but there are deferred maintenance issues. For instance, the imitation hardwood floor was buckling in places, making "pillows" in areas that you'd step and sink into. A step tile chipped under my husband as he walked out. Nothing huge, we just wrote it off to old house character for now, but I can see where later this may become a liability.
The service was very attentive. Several people kept watch over our water and checked back during the meal. They were happy to oblige to every request, even one to turn down the music volume a tad. (It was a little outside of normal range, but nothign too bad.)
Since The Attic isn't super close to me, I'm not going to become a "regular," but I will come back on other special occasions to taste some of the other menu items.
Prices were a little high, but not too bad. We paid $41 for two meals, an appetizer and milk, but we didn't drink alcohol, either.
This isn't really my type of food, but I wanted to try something new. Â The star rating is simply based on what I ordered.
First, I want to say that I love what they did with the place. Â They have added so much outdoor seating, and even though we sat inside, I felt like I was eating dinner inside someone's house. Â Also very clean!
I am not huge a meat eater and don't like creamy dishes, so I ordered the Neapolitan. Â Not too salty and GREAT flavor. Â It was a ton of food. Â What's great is that they can make dishes vegan for you. Â That's one way to ensure they don't use butter, cream, etc.
Drinks are a bit pricey - but that's the way of things these days. Â Our waitress was very sweet and friendly. Â This place is not like anything else in LB, it is definitely worth a shot. =) Â Just check the menu before you go!
Chicken Pot Pie.
Get that, that is all you need to ever know. The crust is so flaky and the inside is tasty.
The poutine fries were pretty dank. Good meat and the french fries were thicker.
Finally, the last time I went I got the crawfish etoufee. Honestly, it was not the best etoufee I've had but it was still good. The gumbo is better I think.
Staff is cool, and the location is a nice corner location with street parking all over, definitely a good spot in long beach.
Although I stand behind my last 5 star review for dinner, I have to knock it down a few notches due to our recent breakfast experience.
We've driven by here several times in the morning and have found the place packed. Â We also heard that they had some pretty good Bloody Marys. Â Since dinner was so good, what could go wrong with breakfast.
Well, we come in early to beat the crowd. Â I started off with a Bloody Mary which is either an Attic specialty or a build your own. Â I went with the build your own. Â It was definitely good and unfortunately was the highlight of the experience.
They had a special going that included a stuffed cheese and jalepeno sausage that included potatoes and eggs. Â I went with that and the wife with the corned beef hash and eggs.
So, the food comes out and I have two distinctively different sausages. Â One that was stuffed with cheese and jalepeno and one that was just your standard sausage. Â I pointed this out to our server who immediately apologized and offered to replace the sausage. Â She then comes back and says that she made a mistake and that you only get one cheese sausage. Â What?? Â Really?? Â What kind of lame deal is that? Â And to add insult to injury I was charged $15 for the special which I swear was quoted $12 earlier. Â (Typical breakfast runs $8-$10)
Now to my wife's breakfast. Â The menu highlighted "Corned Beef Hash". Â Well if you looked at the plate, you couldn't of guessed otherwise since the hash basically non existent in the eggs.
On top of that, the potatoes and eggs were undercooked (wife had to send her's back) and the first round of sausages were overcooked. Â (The second plate of sausage was cooked perfectly)
We may still return for dinner someday, but definitely not for breakfast since a lot of work still needs to be done.
Absolutely amazing experience from start to finish. Long Beach is known for great brunch on Weekends at various locations. The Attic literally takes the cake. With amazing, attentive service, unique Cajun cuisine and fantastic morning cocktails. I had only heard of this place from my yoga instructor and noticed the space had recently been revamped from a previous eatery that wasn't very popular.
We ordered Bloody Mary's to start and the Short Rib Poutine, Spicy Mac n Cheetos and the Shrimp Po Boy with Cajun Fries. The food was sublime. Presentation was great and the flavor a blend together amazingly. We are hard to please when it comes to new places and I can say that we raved about our brunch all day long.
Fantastic and will certainly be going back.
Mac and cheese and hot cheetos... ingenius!!!
My first time here and I had the fried chicken. It was so tender and juicy on the inside and so crispy on the outside without being greasy.
My friend and I shared the sampler appetizer. Fried green tomatoes was okay. Alligator sausage was yummy but, of course, in New Orleans its better. Deviled egg was okay, nothing special. But bacon wrapped jalapeno was sinful. It just melted in my mouth!
Very friendly and attentive service.
I've been here twice, once for my best friend's birthday, and once for MINE! I live and work in Long Beach so it's always nice to see something new open up.
The menu has a Southern feel with a little modern twist. Personal favorites: Pot Pie that's baked with puff pastry on top and Chicken Fried Steak Benedict. We just went to Canada a few months ago, so we had to order the Rib Eye Poutine - definitely a sharing dish but sooooo good! A little indulgent, but the flavors are excellent!
The service is great but a little slow. I would not try to come here on a time crunch, but for a leisurely brunch, it's perfect! Loved the outdoor seating and they are extremely dog friendly. They even brought Corki his own personal water bowl :)
They reserved outdoor area for about 20 people for my birthday even though they don't typically take Sunday reservations. Everything was ready to go and set up before anyone was even there. Their drink menu is awesome, lots of happy hour specials, custom Bloody Marys, and their own signature cocktails. I had a Cajun Lemonade which felt like a mojito with some spice on the rim.
I'm also only about 2 blocks away so it can't get any better than getting a little buzz going at breakfast and having the ability to stumble my way home :)
I've been here 3 times in like, a month...I think I might like it :P My first visit was during Memorial Day weekend, and since it was a Monday my friends and I were able to take advantage of the Martini Monday deal, which is half off all of their martinis. I had the Pear Martini, and one of my friends had the Espresso Martini. The pear was very good, but that espresso one was DA BOMB. We shared the curried mussels appetizer and the short rib poutine, and I had the farmer's market salad. One of my friends had their turkey meatloaf  as his entree and the other friend had the chicken pot pie. We were all very dazzled by this meal, and vowed to return ASAP.
A couple of weeks later I was here for dinner with a large group for my birthday. We sat out on the patio and had a very nice time. This time around I had their blue crab crabcakes and the warm spinach salad, and an order of short rib poutine to share with the group. Oh, and the espresso martini, of course. We were all very pleased with our food and I even got to sample dessert this time. They very generously offered me any dessert on the menu, so I got the Guinness Chocolate Mousse. Wow, very very good! I also sampled a bit of my friend's fried chicken, which was totally yum--loved the hint of rosemary in the perfectly crispy skin.
My most recent visit was with a couple of friends, and it was a meal of appetizers. There were so many good things we wanted to try on the appetizers menu that we didn't end up getting any entrees, but it turned out fine. We got: curried mussels, clam fritters, mac n cheetos, bacon-wrapped jalapenos, and devilish eggs. The jalapenos were surprisingly spicy, a lot spicier than I was expecting. I liked it, but if you're used to the bland jalapeno poppers it might be too hot for you. We loved everything, but if I must put forth a complaint it's that I really couldn't detect very much clam in the clam fritters. Don't get me wrong--the fried crispy bits were awesome, but a little more or bigger clams would've been nice. Since it was all sort of light bites, we had room for dessert, yay! I got the peach cobbler, which was perfectly warm, peachy and delicious, but the mocha tres leches cake and the carrot cake my friends got were a bit of a disappointment: the cake was just way too dense and not very flavorful; I've definitely had better elsewhere. Also, I don't know what's up with the outdoor tables, but I think they need to re-varnish or cover them with tablecloths; they're all a little "tacky" and i noticed my paper napkins and sleeves getting stuck on them if you leave them pressed on there for a while.
This last visit would be a 4, but given the overall experience of my three trips, plus the great service I received each time pushes this great neighborhood eatery up to 5 stars in my book. It's definitely one of my Long Beach go-to spots!
Converted craftsman house restaurant with modern California bistro flair.
My friend and I went on our quest for a solid meal after a yummy charity bake sale at a friend's vegan restaurant. Hey, it's 2013, we can eat dessert first. Came on a recommendation by an LBC local/insider.
Slow braised rib eye poutine made me a believer. French fries executed flawlessly with gravy, cheese curds (wished they put a few more pieces on the dish) and melt in your mouth hunks of rib eye...yummm that stays with you on the long drive back to LA.
Also ordered the mussels in Thai curry broth. I got to cheat by grabbing some of the naked fries and dipping with the curry broth. DIY moules frites, baby! Washed down with a Pink Lemonade which is their cocktail creation that is just sorority grade awesome- can't even detect the alcohol until you're half day down the pint and my Asian flush started to kick in. Now that's an expert mix!
Great service as we were one of the last to dine in the wee hours of 9:45PM on a Sunday. Thank you so much for being so accommodating!
The table we were seated at was about as stable as Amanda Bynes, but other than that everything at The Attic was upright. Â In fact, the server noticed it before we said anything and she was able to make a slight adjustment and it was all good for the rest of the night. Â
It wasn't really crowded for a Sunday night. Â Just about everyone and their brother sat outside on the patio (since the sun was still out), and some even brought their bitches. We left our's at home though, since they bark too much and antagonize other dogs in a setting like this. Inside, it did feel a bit like we were in someone's house.
DRINKS: when in NOLA last Fall, I was introduced to some of their beers, and gravitated towards Abita. Â They have Strawberry and Purple Haze ones here, with the latter possibly being on my current top 5 beer list (well, if I had one). They also had their alcoholic version of a Tiger Woods, but I declined it as I wasn't interested in driving into a tree on my way home.
APPETIZERS: Make no mistake, the mac 'n cheetos are the star of the show here. They're crushed up enough that they don't look like cheetos, and after the first bite, you'll forget about the name and become fixated on getting your share before others at the table take too much. Â At $6, hell, order 2 of them!
SUPPER: I went with the turkey meatloaf, but also had a bit of my brother's BBQ baby back ribs, which were on some pretty large racks. Â If you have a real large appetite like me, I'd recommend you shy away from the meatloaf, unless you plan on making up for it with appetizers or desserts. Â As for the sides, the mashies were nothing great, but the veggies were surprisingly really tasty. Â
It was probably closer to a 3.5 stars on my excitement meter (well, except the mac) and I rarely round up on Yelp, but here the concept and vibe was the difference maker. Â I saw 2 people outside checking this place out and swear they could have been straight out of Portlandia, so that, combined with the overall look and New Orleans touch, hit the purported soft spot in my heart.
The Attic is fantastic!
Beginning with the ambiance and decor, they get high marks because it looks like a home that has been converted into a restaurant (complete with patio furniture in case there is a wait!).
I have been 7 times now and only had the same server once. Every single employee has given grade-A service. I wish that I could remember them by name to make note but they have all been among the best servers I have had.
This place has a lot going for it but the real star of the show is the food. The pot pie is delicious. The turkey meatloaf is absolutely perfect! The risotto, catalina burger, and the napoleon are all impressive; and I cannot stress enough how much I appreciate a chef that knows what "medium-rare" means. As a diner, when you find that, you have to acknowledge it.
One word of warning if you keep Kosher or halal: you have limited options. I don't eat pork, and I think I have had just about everything on the menu that I can have. Other than that, this is a great restaurant experience.
(For ambiance, I'm checking "classy" AND "casual", that's not a mistake!)
I was here last night with two friends and I have to say that the food is delicious.
The place is easy to miss because you'd assume that you would be looking for a restaurant in a tall building or in a plaza; but actually, it's a renovated house turned into restaurant. Â The idea is pretty unique and it most definitely adds character to the location.
I ordered "The Crabby Patty" sandwich--which was a crab patty, with onions between two toasted buns. Â It also came with cajun fries as well which was utterly delicious. Â One of the servers (or manager) brought special chipotle sauce for the fries without me requesting for it. Â That is great service right there. Â
Overall, the dining experience was pleasant. Â We had heat lamps near our table so we would not feel cold. Â One of my friends ordered the banana bread dessert which was warmed served with caramel sauce and some ice cream, I believe (or whipped cream). Â I had one bite and I was impressed.
The good is great, service is up to par, and the ambience is delightful. Â But, I have to say that if you are looking to go to an inexpensive place, this is not the location for you. Â I paid $14 for my crab burger.
I love the food here, and the service is really great too. Very friendly wait staff and they are very quick, too. They have an awesome build-your-own bloody mary checklist during brunch.
Here are the downsides (for me):
1. I never have a spoon. I have been there 3 times and each time I need a spoon and don't have one. Why don't they wrap spoons into the rolled napkin silverware set? I have stirred coffee with a knife 3 times now!
2. The silverware and table are sometimes a bit messy. This place is not a diner, and the prices reflect that you are eating at a nicer place. But I have noticed that our table last time was not wiped down before we sat, as there were crumbs on it. And then today, it looked like a piece of something was stuck to my fork, post-dishwasher.
All-in-all, a great spot that I do recommend. But a little more attention to the small details will go a long way in the future :)
You ever eat somewhere and you taste one bite of the food and you want to go hug the chef? That's what happened when I bit into the potatoes that came with my crab omelette and biscuit. It was love and I needed to show love to the person that created it.
We heard of the The Attic on recommendation from one of my bf's coworkers. I've got a thing for Bloodies and he's got a thing for Egg Benedicts. This is the perfect place to satisfy all that. The Bloodies are beyond outstanding and you can get a basic one, you can get one that comes with a side of beer (yep!) and you can customize one with bacon or a short rib slider or a back back rib. I mean, the possibilities don't stop. It's almost like math class where you're trying to figure out how many combinations you can have. But then you realize that's lame so you order another Bloody. Cuz there's no place for math at Brunch.
The staff was great and our server was very attentive without stalking us. Our plates were promptly removed, also. The kitchen was backed up and they came over to give us statuses on our order. I appreciated that. Man, was that food worth waiting for.
What I really loved about The Attic was that it looked like a house that was converted to a restaurant. That was perfect. Just show me the bedroom so I can manage my itis in peace.
Went there for breakfast. It took 45 minutes for the food to get served, not huge but I had two hungry kids with me. Food was good, but getting there was a struggle.
My children with true gluten issues, as well as one with garlic and onion allergy. The menu marks gluten free items, which is why we went there, but some (not all) of the menus have "may contain traces of gluten". Huh? So I explained to the waitress about the food issues for the kids. She acknowledged, and even came back to tell us she told the chef, and he would wipe down the grill for us. Great, until the food showed up with bread (not gluten free!) on my daughter's plate, along with seasoned potatoes with onions, not mentioned on the menu.
She took it back after I reminded her of the food issues. The cooked another plate, brought it back with no bread, but there were the potatoes with onions, and chives (another type of onion!) on top of her eggs!
Ok, my little girl was too embarrased for us to address it again, so she peeled off the top of the egg and ate the rest, leaving half the egg, the potatoes, Â avocado, and fruit (anything the contact onions) behind.
Just really hard to deal with these issues, and they didn't do well at it. I have been to less expensive places that I would choose over having to deal with long wait for food that doesn't address my 12 year olds food issues safely.
WOW.  What  an amazing new addition to Long Beach.
The food is delicious, the service is on point and the ambiance is so awesome. Â Unique chandeliers in a quaint old house, fire pit outside and a warm, inviting environment.
You MUST order the bananas foster bread pudding!! Â BEST. THING. EVER.
Where do I start....
I'm in LOVE with the Attic.
Breakfast: Try the Eggs Benedict with Fried Green Tomato & Alligator Sausage if you're feeling adventurous.
The waffles are BRILLIANT, especially with the Bacon inside and bananas on top!
Apps: The Mac n Cheetos is a MUST try - don't knock it til you try it! Super creamy, bacon bits, BOMB!
The Sliders are delicious..the meat melts in your mouth, tastes like it was slow-cooked for days.
Drinks: Build your own Bloody Mary (the list is LONG), I've tried them with the slim jim stuffed olives & bacon - delicious. Â Or change it up with Clamato instead of bloody mary mix for a good 'lighter' bloody mary. Â Oh ya...you can get a SLIDER as a garnish...ya you read correctly..amazing.
-Champagne Cocktails: you can add ANY juice from their juice menu, delicious, refreshing & a vitamin boost with your booze...perfection!
Dinner: Â Lots of Southern & Creole flair. Â Great fresh cut cajun fries. Â The sandwiches are great & the ribs too!
I have yet to try dessert...but I'm sure I won't be dissapointed!
Service: Â Always had sweet waitresses that checked up on us frequently, shared their favorite dishes and made sure we were satisfied.
ALWAYS a good meal, with even better drinks - I found my new favorite spot
I really want this place to succeed.. Â That being said ..
We Just went here for Mother's Day and the service and food was absolutely horrible. Â We've been here a handful of times and have always disliked the quality of the service, but today was the rotten cherry on the top with the lack of service and the late/wrong/cold food. Â
And where was the manager???? Â
Someone needs to get this sht under control, before it starts losing business. Â
WoW!!!! Â I can't get over how bad this experience was :(
