Bar Pleiades

Expensive, Yes... but you knew that already so no points off for that!  Of the UES Hotel Bars Bar Pleiades is always a bit quieter and calmer than The Mark or Carlyle Bar.  Good date spot, no drama.

Located in The Surrey Hotel, Bar Pleiades is a nice place to stop and take a break from the non-stop life in Manhattan. The drinks are made well and they have plenty of eats to choose from. Make sure you get the warm madeleines, they're to die for. Apparently, these madeleines are the same madeleines that are served at Daniel.

Recommendation: Warm Madeleines

Stopped in for a drink after a stroll down Madison ... Even though the bar looked 'stuffy' ... it is classic! The hostess Kristine couldn't have been nicer. The staff made me feel like a VIP.  The Hemingway Daquiri should not be missed! Pricey, yes, but worth it. Beautiful well-dressed clients, good stu
