I always seem to end up here when I have friends in from out of town. Â
The sangria is delicious. Wine list is extensive and they're open to let you taste if you can't choose. Â I've only had one of the flatbread pizzas, it was tasty, but I can't really speak to the rest of the menu. Cozy and intimate tables in the back of the place and a nice high bar in front. The outside seating is great on warmer days. Â Too bad for the construction still going on 2nd Ave., but we all just have to get used to that.
P.S. I love the bartender.
Food - we shared the mushroom & truffle oil flatbread pizza. This dish is probably not meant for sharing, but since we were two little girls it was fine. It smells amazing and tastes even better...definitely a fan of anything with truffle oil.
Drinks - I got the peach bellini which was pretty good. They have a huuuuge selection of wines and specialty drinks and sangrias. Will definitely take advantage of the happy hour if I'm in the area again, but probably won't come back for the food during a non-happy hour time.
Atmosphere/service - service was pretty attentive but then again it was generally empty on Saturday night. The restaurant was very hot inside, so the only viable place to sit is probably outside.
There are so many places in this area/on that same street - aside from happy hour, will probably try some of the other nearby places before I come back!
