Late night wine bar -- this place is cozy and welcoming. We sat at the window table and watched passersby stumbling into the late hours. Service was nice and friendly.
We had a bottle of wine and a few items to share.
Most of the food is good, but we weren't a fan of the wild mushroom bruschetta. The pieces were far too big, the mushrooms were too overpowering and not well seasoned, and this was a perfect case of when less is more.
We had some mussels to share, these were good and the broth was nice.
Lastly, we had the ceviche which was well-sized and tasty.
I would dine here again.
I came here on my own after kind of wandering around aimlessly in the city as I occasionally like to do.
It is a cute place, but small so expect to wait for a spot at the bar or for a table. The staff was nice and suggested I order a wine while waiting. There isn't really a place to wait, though, so I just kind of stood around and tried to keep out of the way.
I had a couple glasses of wine, fine- but nothing to knock my socks off. Normal Manhattan prices.
The food was kind of meh. I got ceviche and it wasn't that great. Bruschetta was fine but I sort of felt like I could make the food myself.
And yes, Cara A.... the noise level in the place was weirdly super loud.
Great wine bar! Nice atmosphere, neat, friendly service. Had several appetizers and they were good. Last time I visited they didn't have two wines I asked for but the waiter apologized and explained that they were transitioning to a different wine list and offered some suggestions. Overall, I had a great time at this place and would go back.
