Bascom's Chop House

Company I work for through a cool little party here for about 100 of us.. The hor dours were tasty, and the dinner was good.. My steak was a little over cooked, but the meat was very good quality so it was still very good, plus it was within walking distance of hotel so did not have to worry about drinking..

I was there last week and it just wasnt as good as it use to be mainly very rude manager named kevin.  I dont know how you hired that guy at all.  my steak was great but what happened to management.  it use to be awesome.  he needs to go!!! very rude to my clients that came in from austria for business also!!

My wife and I came here for our 25th anniversary.
First thing I noticed was a very professional waitstaff. Everyone was friendly and courteous. I started with a bottle of Pies Porter, and a bowl of the of the lobster bisque, and my wife had the escargot.  My bisque was very good, very creamy, but there wasn't much in the way of texture. My wife describes the escargot as "a creamy garlic flavor" in a flaky puff pastry.

I ordered the the porter house, fries, the spinach Au gratin, and jalapeno macaroni & cheese. There was nothing special about this steak, and it was under cooked to Medium rare. I sent it back, and it came back overdone to medium well. My wife had the queen cut prime rib. Perfectly cooked, tender and it was delicious!.

I had a small issue with the Jalapeno Macaroni. They use fresh green Jalapenos. They really taste green, I prefer pickled jalapeno. My wife on the other hand loved it. Wine was great, and my wife loved the chocolate cake. The ambiance was was nice,

My only real complaint was the noise level & the unimpressive porter house . It was as noisy as an Irish pub during a commercial break.

Based on price, service, & product I give Bascoms a solid three stars. A little disappointing.
