The Venue

New years party! Very Very slow service! Would not recommend it for next year. Food was marginal at best.  Try somewhere else.

Ownership has changed after The Venue closed a few months ago and it is now called The V. The club is now strictly 21+ which has drastically pushed the crowd numbers into the late 30s - early 40s crowd and the S.I.N. Monday nights have lost their flavor completely. I have so many good memories at The Venue and went there almost every week in Summer 2011 - it is disappointing to see it change like this. We went for the Grand Opening and people were walking in and then quickly turning around to leave.

The dance floor is now strictly on the second floor and honestly it just isn't the same from ultra fun lounge that The Venue used to be. I'm not sure if it will get better (they have had free cover for the last few weeks), but as of right now I am looking for other places to party in Tampa Bay...

Oh..how I've missed when this place was once called Storman's and as 15 year olds, we'd all up in here during teen night! Now, I came back 8 years later, and it's called the Venue. I must admit, it is a great crowd, and a very friendly bunch of people! It's totally different from the Vegas scene, but I'm not complaining! I love the two floors, and the layout. It does get pretty crowded really fast, and thankfully we got in early and for free because we were on the list.

Maybe i missed a step or was just already at my level, but i did love that small gogo stage in the middle on the dance floor. I danced on it, but sadly fell (clumsy me!). If anyone caught it, thankfully no one laughed, and I walked it off just fine. lol

The outdoor bar area is just perfect. Very low key, and less crowded than the inside. The music isn't so loud outside so there's definitely room for good conversation, and drinks! the music selection was awesome, and maybe it just happened to be my night, but they just played all the right music.

Also, definitely expect to find a very diverse group. I sure did...
