All I Wanted Was Some Pizza. Â :(
I enjoyed their food and recently had become somewhat of a regular customer. I never had any issue with Bellisima until Friday December 28, 2012, when I placed an order for delivery via phone.
I am educated, articulate and speak very clearly on the phone. A stern man with a heavy accent took my order and completely messed it up. First when I ordered a "medium five cheese" specialty pizza, he processed it as five cheese pizzas. After I corrected him, I then gave him my address and phone number to call when the delivery person arrived at my residence. (My apartment buzzer does not work). However, I never received a phone call.
When I called 40 minutes later to inquire about my order, the man whom took my order and turned out to be the owner, screamed at me over the phone. I explained that I did not receive any phone calls. However, he kept repetitively yelling "I call you 5 time. You no answer!" He then hung up on me. I went to the restaurant in person to calmly try and sort out what happened. The owner screamed me. Finally, his family discovered that the owner was the one in error because he copied my phone number incorrectly. He did not even utter a simple apology. I left the restaurant in tears.
Different strokes and all tastewise and such..idk why the bad reviews.. i like the pizza..its been really good every time weve ordered it..and ive been eating here for years..the wings which are huge and come with blue cheese but no wing sauce..but still really good. the pizza/wings special is a great value for 20 wings and a pie. the garlic knots are really good. the only thing ive ordered from here that was 'meh' was a grilled chicken sub. it wasnt horrible mind you..just a bit blandish tasting and skimpy on the chicken.. not earth shattering in terms of a hot sub but far from nasty. the calamari is excellent as well..all in all this a darn good local pizza joint.
