What can I say about The Blvd that hasn't already been said? There is always some kind of expensive Supercar parked out front during the early afternoon that tourist just love to take pictures with. I must admit I've taken some pictures on occasion. Anyway, The Blvd has nice upscale ambiance and the waitstaff prides themselves on impeccable service. I completely agree that they have some of he best service in LA.The wine selection and drink cocktails are pricey but tasty and they often make very good recommendations on win pairings that accentuate the delicate seasonal flavors found in the food. All in all a good experience. I will return for sure.

Talk about service. This place does not play around when they are accommodating their guests. They even brought me a tiny stool to sit my purse on. What restaurant does that? I highly recommend a reservation, because this place is busy. I had the tuna tartar for appetizer - amazing! And halibut for dinner - it was ok, but I'm super picky with fish. I had the donuts for dessert that came with these 3 dipping sauces (lemon, raspberry and chocolate) - that was the bomb. I'm a dessert junkie, so I'm always going for the dessert menu. I think the selection of main entrees could be a little better, but I would def. go back. This was my first visit here. I would give the service here a 5 star!

I been here twice with my family and its definitely a nice venue.

They also have a secrete middle eastern menu which had Kabsa!

The chicken Kabsa was NOT spot on but close enough however $38 for such a tiny portion? No thanks!

Went to The Blvd. for an extremely important (to me) breakfast meeting on Sunday.  The place was packed.  I made a reservation, showed up early, and was seated right away.

The crowd seemed very touristy, with some locals fresh from the golf course peppered in.  There's nothing snotty about The Blvd., as one would expect.  The room is like a grand lounge with tables for dining.

On to the food.  I didn't find anything exciting on the menu, considering the prices.  Each dish for breakfast averages $25.  I decided to a cheddar omelette with black truffles (off the menu).  The upcharge for truffles is only $10.

The food came out, and it sucked.  The chef glazed my omelette with some orange habanero sauce, which I didn't expect or want.  The eggs came out dry, and the proportion of cheese to eggs was like 1 to 50.  Very disappointing.  Not to mention, they served the smallest order of potatoes known to man.

Ordinarily, I would have sent this $35 omelette back, but I couldn't in front of my guest.  He seemed to enjoy his breakfast, though, as he cleaned his plate.  Either that, or it was the smallest portion of food he'd seen.

Our server totally forgot about my drink order, but he later apologized and got it for me (and still charged me for it).

Breakfast for 2 came out to $110!

Not surprised there were few locals.

The location is at an incredible hotel that attracts a mixture of high end, hollywood list of guests as well as folks who are just looking to go have a drink with a group of friends.

The customer service at places like this is usually at a higher standard than usual places however it does have a tendency of attracting snobby people who may annoy you if you're not accustomed to being around that crowd.

I can't say their food is as good as their service but they do have some good items on the menu.  My wife ordered the Tuna Tartar for appetizer which gets a 5 star from me.  Our friends ordered the crab cake which was decent. I've had better crab cake many times.

We ordered a bottle or red wine which was excellent since they had a good variety of wine for wine lovers.

For dinner my wife had the halibut which she said it was excellent  I was in the mood for lamb and it was good but not the best.

For desert, the ladies ordered the chocolate experience which was very good.  And I ordered their strawberry sorbet which was decent.

If you're trying to go to a place to stick around afterwards with a group of people than this is a great place to go.  It's also a decent place to take a date.  She'll be impressed.

Though the atmosphere was nice and we were treated well the food wasn't the best.  The presentation was great but the food a bit bland.  I mean I never add salt to my food and I did here.

We live near here and decided to try it and it was a good one time experience.  A bit too touristy as well.

I absolutely love this restaurant. We were walking Rodeo and decided to have dinner. Even without a reservation, we were taken to a table. Our waiter was fantastic. I wish I could remember his name. All in all, I would recommend this restaurant to any and everyone!

First time eating there yesterday ~ Not impressed. My cat could have made the same 21 vegetable salad with his eyes closed and it would have had more flavor and color.

On a brighter note my blueberry martini was good. Service was good.

If you like to be stared at by canadian tourists or drunk old men then this is the spot for you.

Oh Blvd at the Four Seasons Hotel/ Wilshire Bev Hills, how I love thee!

Husband and I have only been once, but we are now planning on becoming regulars. Service is TOP NOTCH from the moment you drive in to valet your car to the doormen's smiling faces to the fabulous bartenders (we had Jose G as our main guy) who anticipated our every move without being overbearing or intrusive!

We did not have to deal with annoying valet ticket and they knew exactly which car was ours upon leaving.

We went for brunch and drinks on a Saturday afternoon and the vibe was casual and relaxed - very enjoyable really and not pretentious whatsoever. We dressed business casual (emphasis on the casual) and felt right at home (there is actually no dress code and you will see all types.)

As we live at the beach a few miles west from Beverly Hills, it was actually a nice change to go somewhere that was less packed (not asses to elbows) and where people were not all dressed in swim suits, daisy dukes, and flip flops. Typically, I love beachy dive bars, but this place/ vibe really appealed to me as a nice change.

The drinks are GENEROUS (I would say 2 full shots making the price very reasonable) and well worth the cost in my opinion as you do receive individual glass soda bottles for your mixers as opposed to sodas on tap. $12 for a Bacardi/ Coke and $17 for a Grey Goose and Soda.

I could go on and on about the quality nuts (very few peanuts and more quality cashews, almonds, filberts and brazil nuts) placed in your own individual silver tray. I actually had to decline their nice offers to keep refilling!

The mix of patrons is interesting and eclectic from the solo, older Asian women eating brunch and enjoying her shot of Patron to the international business men in their $2000+ business suits to the token tourists and B grade Russian models enjoying their cosmos.

I have nothing negative to say about this place. I am counting down the days until we return! It's heaven to be treated like royalty AND to have every desire fulfilled. Fabulous!

I didn't like the food at all. One time I went and took forever to be served. U ask for chocolate cake and they don't have any. The pastries are weird and too affluent which I hate. Nothing simple and good. The coffee for the price is just ok. They give u French honey to somehow make it seem worth it that they are charging you 20 dollars for tea. Ambiance inside is kinda old. Outside is nice.

First, the staff is terrific.  The detractors of having a very expensive menu and a snooty clientele is a little too much to overcome.  There are too many other reasonably priced places to eat in LA than here.

Oh man, what a bipolar experience...

A fun atmosphere to enjoy after dinner around the corner.  There is music and drinks to help keep the night going and unwind the evening.  They serve nuts and have a comfortable, casual atmosphere to lounge and relax.  Unfortunately, the drink I ordered was off the mark.

An Old Fashioned isn't really too hard to make.  It's common enough that the amount of practice one gets allows for perfection.  However, at $19, I had hoped for a great way to comfort the night and sip to the beats of a great band.

Sadly, this drink that i've had even bars on the slopes of snow resorts make way better was a terrible reminder that the craft of bartending is an art lost in some of the finest of places.

Stick to the drinks on the menu if you want to be safe... for me, I'll stick to tried and true H2O next time.

So this gem of an interaction happened the other night at The Blvd as I was perusing the cocktail menu at the bar:

Bartender:  "What can I get you, sir?"

Me:  *Outraged*  "$19 for a cocktail??  You can't be surrious!"

Bartender:  "We make very good cocktails, sir."

Me:  "Oh yeah?  All right, get me a persimmon smash.  But it better be the best cocktail I've ever had, persimmon or no."

Bartender:  *fighting not to roll his eyes*  "Very good sir."  *2 minutes elapse as he prepares the drink and hands it to me*  "Tell me what you think, sir."

Me:  *drinks*  "Hmmmph...  OK, you got lucky this time..."

Yeah, so $19 for signature cocktails at The Blvd...  but ddemn good lah.

My friend and I had plans to shop. We ate and drank for two hours at The Blvd, before shopping for another three. Perfect girls' afternoon!

Everything on the brunch menu looked so good. It was one of those rare times I changed my mind after I ordered and before the waiter left us. ;)

A little less than half of it was dedicated to eggs. Dishes with cute and quirky names, but simply put, eggs with truffles, eggs with caviar, eggs with chorizo, steak and bacon.

We both opted for the branzino. Where else can you get branzino on Sunday at noon? haha! And in all honesty, it was as delicious as it was beautiful. The pan seared and flaky fish was served in a fancier cut rectangular (and not the usual whole, deboned, laid flat open) form.  It was wholesome and tender, although I would have liked the typical layout. The fish was sided by a spicy arugula salad with chunks of grilled avocado and beans. Along the top edge, a thick line of Sicilian caper tomato salsa. Italian muddled with Mexican, but each stand-outs.

I didn't meet their bartender, but he was awesome. So is their policy about drinks. If they don't have it on the menu, they can make it for you. My friend wanted a champagne cocktail they no longer carried, but were able to make for her. I ordered a scotch, and got a hefty pour.

Needless to say, service was top notch. Sweet as can be.

Came here with my cousin last year after some shopping on Rodeo drive for the first time and absolutely loved the environment and service. The food was amazing too... stayed for a few hours just chatting and enjoying appetizer, dish, desert and some red wine. You can choose from a selection of red wine on the menu.

My future 35 year old self will probably give this place 5 stars, but current 28 year old me, liked it a lot... But it wasn't exaaaaaactly my style. The food was delicious and the live music was fun, but I think that because the crowd was so much older (not to mention douchey - douchey old folk?  Not cute. ), it didn't give me the "I must come back here and fill myself with over priced alcohol!" Feeling, thereby losing one star. However, I will go back, and the environment is pretty romantic and chill if you go with a "special" friend **wink wink**.  It's great to relax, laugh, talk, and enjoy the live music.

I love the ambiance here! We had a party of 6 and the service was wonderful, no long waits despite how busy they were. The complimentary assortment of bread had something for everyone and was very fresh. I ordered and LOVED the delicious seafood salad made with lobster, diver scallops, octopus, prawns, pickled butternut squash and hazelnut oil on lush bib lettuce. Everyone highly enjoyed their meal. It was so good I can't wait to eat it again.

Came to the bar for a drink ala pretty woman.  The drinks were $18 a piece which is to be expected.  The drinks tasted good and the ambiance at the bar is nice.  Our waiter wasnt super friendly.  We had a great time while here but I didn't feel like it was anything special considering pretty woman was filmed here.  It is a nice place to stop if you are exploring rodeo drive and want to rest your feet and have a fruity dri

While this place has excellent service and an impeccable decore, I am baffled by the atrocious menu.

To start, I had a flute of Prosecco with nut mix. Then, I ordered an Orecchiette which was soggy and served in a soupy minestrone sauce. $27 for a nasty dish like that, I apologize profusely, but this is a faux-pas! To flush my meal down, I ordered a Super Tuscan which was A-mazing! I might give this place a second try, let's see.

I came here with a friend from London as we were having a Pretty Woman moment. The location is great and you can't help but feel you're in the presence of great importance and wealth. We sat at the bar to order afternoon drinks (alcoholic, not tea related). The bartender was so lovely, and offered us samples of their house infused vodkas that took our interest. We settled on the Mikimoto, which I'd highly recommend. They are served in chilled, metal martini glasses, which I liked but my companion did not. Guess it depends on how attuned your tastes buds are to metal. I think it would be a great place for a date, or simple drinks with girlfriends after melting over diamond rings and glorious handbags.

Coming to The Blvd is like coming to one of those 1920s gentlemen's clubs for men you read about in a John Dos Passos novel, except there are women everywhere, dinner jackets aren't a requirement, and, unlike other so-called gentlemen's clubs, The Blvd doesn't have any naked girls dancing on top of tables.

So, I guess what I'm trying to say is, The Blvd isn't a club, and the only reason why I mentioned John Dos Passos is because I want to sound well-read.

Oh--and also because the restaurant has a subdued, dreary-but-richly-atmospheric vibe prevalent in expressive literature of that time period. And money--coming inside The Blvd is like reading a novel narrating the scenery in prewar Upper East Side Manhattan, or Los Angeles during a colorized film noir.

Lots of people are in suits, but you don't need to wear one: your jeans and Sperry Topsiders or knockoff DVF dress you got at Zara are just fine, honey.

The Blvd is fortunate in that, despite its location, it avoids being touristy, mostly because I suppose all those gawkers in the TMZ buses are saving their cash for Hollywood-sign shotglasses and "I Love LA" tee-shirts when they get back to the depot.

The inner decor is like the old-fashioned, "I went to community college then transferred to Yale" furniture you see at a middle-aged doctor's office, where the contemporary pieces are just one-shade below the finery you'd keep at home, because they bought them for heavy use by an assortment of the monied elderly, middle-aged and young professionals, spoiled trust-funders, tourists with great credit card limits, and really beautiful boys (ahem) who write Yelp reviews and go to places like this wearing sleeveless tanktops and sweatpants (and STILL look hawt).

Sitting on the patio is great during the early evening, after traffic and street noise have died down, but if you're on a date or don't want to slather sun block all over your face just to drink a lunchtime mimosa, then inside the small-but-cute-in-an-old-man way dining room is the way to go, loverface.

Despite the somewhat intimidating aura of this place, service is bright, cheery, and friendly whether you're wearing a ten-thousand dollar suit, or if you look like you make only ten thousand dollars a year. It's assumed you're toting some serious greenery (not THAT kind) if you even cross the threshold to The Blvd from Wilshire, so unless it looks like you're insane or just there to use the restroom, you'll be treated like you own a steamship company or that your father is the governor of Stupidlyrich Island.

Anysnob, the food is good--and it ought to be. Good for lunch, better for dinner, as in, don't waste a trip to The Blvd for a hamburger, if you're only going to come once.

There's a joke in that sentence somewhere, but I'm too dense to stroke it out of my imagination.

There is a fantastic assortment of sandwiches, salads, and sit-down dinner style dishes (steaks, chicken, fish, etc.), and vegetarians won't feel out of place, unless there's a geriatric Don Juan spitting game to a girl young enough to be his granddaughter at the next table and you can't avoid seeing them--where in which case, omnivores might want to hurl, too. There's also a full bar and extensive battery of wines so valuable it might as well be Fort Knox for connoisseurs of the fermented grape.

For the record, I came to get hammered and they hammered me right.

All in all, The Blvd is quite pricey, really, for what it is--it can be a primary date destination, or place for casual eating, and everything inbetween, but if you're in the area anyway and want to take your date to a formal dinner, perhaps Wolfgang's Steakhouse or Spago or any number of other restaurants nearby are a cut above, and not much more expensive--and have more convenient parking options, to boot.

As a sidewalk cafe, it has its uses, but again, you might find other choices nearby just as good, and cheaper too--maybe even on Melrose Avenue.

It all depends on what you're looking for. The Blvd is good, no doubt, but really, for many people, the sole reason for going there is to say you went there, and to gawk like a tourist before getting back on the TMZ bus to find George Clooney's house and see if he might get his morning newspaper without his shirt on.

When you walk into the Four Season in Rodeo you just know you're going to spend a shit ton of money.  It is what it is.

I came in with a couple of friends and we had a great time.  We spent the day shopping and decided to unwind here with wine, bloody mary's and food.  The presentation was awesome, the service was Four Season service, the food was good (not great but better then good) and the drinks were exactly what we wanted.

They charge you for everything there...but some days it's worth feeling decadent.  Now, excuse me because I have to go to work and pay my credit card bill.

    I love this place!
Great food - Filet mignon is amazing with creamy mushed potato and mushrooms.
Great drinks. thus every drink is $19 each. they taste great.
We ordered Chicks as an appetizer - it tasted good - extremely soft that my bf said:
"it tastes like the chicken were killed 5 mins ago" - Yak I wanted to throw up after this frase.  So I didnt eat the chicken.. Thanks God he didnt say anything about poor killed cow for my Filet (sarcasm)
They had jazz band yesterday but we left to early and i cant say anything about the music.
Service is great. Very nice cute guy brought us a huge place of different sorts of bread and bottle of water.
I recommend this place to everybody.

This review is based on an event I attended.

This place is not high class... it is ghetto and pretentious and unprofessional.
    1. My husband's blazer was in a corner and someone stole it.
    2. They charged $30 for a 1/4 glass of white HOUSE wine. And this they served in a regular water cup.
    3. They lost our credit card. Nuff said.

Travelzoo deal for two: each get an appetizer, entree, and dessert and a glass of champagne

    I got the following:

pepper crusted seared ahi tuna (4 stars)
--The tuna was perfectly seared. The pepper crust gave my appetizer the kick. the side greens nicely accompanies the main focus

    salmon (4 stars)
--The salmon was cooked nicely. crispy on the outside and soft inside. the best part of the dish was the vegetables though! the asparagus and the carrots were the best sides that have ever partnered up with a fish entree! yuuum

    key lime tart (4 stars)
--never had key lime tart but really been wanting to try it. and im so glad i did because it was fantastic!

    glass of champagne (4 stars)
    --this champagne was so tasty!

glass of pinot noir $17 - (4 stars)
--yeah this pinot was very enjoyable. there were two pinots but i got the $17 one and it was fantastic. I highly recommend to pinot noir lovers.

Our server was really nice and friendly. When our entree was taking a while, he apologized for the wait and gave us complimentary snacks including macaroons, mint fluff, and chocolate covered almonds! score!

It was a nice experience. The food was pretty good. This is one of the places that you would want to try if you had a good deal or feel like splurging on a meal (unless price isn't a problem).

    TIP:
-bring paper copy of travelzoo coupon. the manager politely asked us go with him to the computer to print the deal because they needed the paper.. they should just take down the confirmation number like all the other travelzoo participating restaurants instead of wasting paper...
    -valet parking was $15
-dress attire: some were casual (classy casual i guess), some were dressy.

I treated the bf to his bday dinner at the Blvd and the experience was unlike anything I've experienced.

The patrons who frequent the Blvd have "old money" written all over them. There's a subdued energy that permeates the venue. Perhaps it was the night we went, but no one spoke above a whisper. It was... different. This westside yuppie felt like a fish out of water.

Nevertheless, the food was outstanding. The Pepper-crusted seared ahi tuna was light and flavorful. The churrasco beef skirt steak was season beautifully. Every bite melted in your mouth.

The Blvd is without a doubt a worthy splurge!

WOW. Talk about pretty people in one room!

My fiance and I came here to celebrate our recent engagement and decided we'd splurge a bit  for the night. We came here for drink before heading to our dinner reservation. We ordered a couple glasses of champagne and people watched for a bit. The place is decorated wonderfully and the crowd is definitely a Beverly Hills crowd.

The prices for drinks are steep -- if you aren't a Hollywood elite, I would definitely save this place for your special moments. But I think its a great place to come if you want a nice intimate conversation or a super classy and sexy date.

I have to agree with Nisa A. and Justin N. on their description of this place.  If the BLVD was a person, he would be a grey haired, overtanned, Italian double breasted suit wearing guy who thinks he is the man.  If I was a rich divorcee who was seeking a third husband, this would be the place I'd hang out at.  Or if I was a desperate actress trying to meet a movie producer (or a wannabe producer), this might work as well.  But as someone who's looking for a fun night out, this is definitely not worth my time.

This stretch of Beverly Hills is too cliche.  Head over to the SLS hotel instead for the younger, better looking version.

What's weird is that the damn Beverly Wilshire bar was playing music I'd expect to hear at the likes of Coyote Ugly. I kept looking for someone to dance on the bar and pour a shot in my mouth.

Loud throbbing music, only to be appreciated by the ears of the finest Eurotrash in a room of middle age to elderly guests. I was so confused. Luckily there were nice martini options for me to seek clarity in.

The service is impeccable as are the Kobe beef slider. I definitely detected cheese whiz on the Nachos which made me even more uncomfortable and ultimately I'll have to say I don't think i'm moved by Awesome meets Eurotrash...

Ohhhh what an interesting place. Different strokes for different folks or something like that so I'm not gonna blast a hole in the side of this place review wise just because it was SO NOT MY KINDA PLACE.

What would make this your kind of place? If you're a 50-70 year old man with what I presume to be piles of cash, looking for a place to parade around your 20 year old lady friends then fuck yea, you should party here all the time. I'm telling you, maybe six or seven sets of those couples; young girls with amazing bodies and sexy clothes (even one in pigtails and a school girl skirt with fishnets if that's your thing) hanging all over guys who could easily be their grandpa's friends. I walked in and as the youngest guy in the place I got thoroughly scoped out by about five girlies, I'm sure they were thinking "If he's here he must have cash, and he's not wrinkly, ohemgeeeeee!!" Sorry ladies, I was merely meeting a friend for drinks who was staying in the area and this bar was the only place open late, attention back on your current dates please.

Stepped outside to use my phone, stood by the stretch hummer and the Ferrari. Got frowned at by a robust man in what I can only assume was a $34,487,347,284 suit for how self important he was acting. Came back in to some band doing terrible cover songs, not that they sounded terrible just that they were picking "Why would anyone want to play this song?" type shit.

Not to be a complete downer I will say the gin and tonics did the trick even if they were priced a bit high, but not for Beverly Hills I guess. The bartender was a bit stiff but did his job well, including making a very specific drink for my friend on the fly. The venue itself is very upscale and elegant, it's a gorgeous location but it is the Four Seasons so I suppose that's to be expected.

Will I ever return? Yeaaaaaa, no. Maybe, who knows. Maybe in 30 years I'll hit the lotto and decide it's my goddamn turn to prance around with 20 year old girls. Hey, I suppose any 60 year old guy getting ass like that is enjoying the last laugh in this equation, so I'm just going to shut my mouth now.

After walking Rodeo Drive my friend and I decided it was time for a cocktail. We had hoped to check out Sidebar, but unfortunately it was closed so we headed over to the Blvd. I had a sidecar and she had the Strawberry Kiss. Both were very well made and worth ordering until you stumble out of the bar at closing time. We didn't order food, but I can't imagine that the food wouldn't be excellent given the drinks we had.

The ambience was rather nice too. It was certainly upscale and had some of the stereotypical LA and Beverly Hills people, but it was much more laid back than either of us anticipated. It was a bit too chilly to sit outside, but the patio would be wonderful for people watching on a warmer day or if you're dressed appropriately for chilly LA weather.

This is a place worth checking out, but if you're on a budget then I'd suggest avoiding it. Then again, if you're on a budget then Beverly Hills probably isn't a place you're going to enjoy unless you simply want to people watch.

In the heart of Beverly Hills, overlooking Rodeo Drive, sits The BLVD., a restaurant, lounge and bar, located on the lobby level of the Beverly Wilshire Hotel.

The ambiance of The BLVD. is chic, colorful pop art meets classic, yet contemporary with sophistication.

I was immediately drawn to the wine display design which was absolutely dazzeling with back-lit ivory-colored panels illuminating the restaurant's 1,000-bottle wine collection.

Whenever I stay at the B.W. I always stroll down for a leisure breakfast.  Seating is always comfortable, service I've always found to be extra attentive and the food is delectable!

My favorite breakfast is The BLVD. Omelet, made with wild mushrooms, black truffle and parmesan, comes with a side of sausage or bacon and toast, it's so good!

My Second favorite is the beautiful, light and fluffy Squash Blossom Frittata, served with the simplest of ingredients of egg whites, veggies and herb ricotta all cooked to perfection.

Whether for Breakfast, Brunch, Bar Food or drinks, The Blvd can get pricey, but you get what you pay for!

It took me a while to try The Blvd because I'm skeptical of hotel restaurants.  The food tends to be overpriced and often the menu sounds better than the food actually tastes.  The Blvd is located in the Beverly Wilshire.

The decor of the dining room is very much luxurious hotel.  Everything from the high ceilings to the chandeliers to the lounge-like booths to the traditional carpet screams 4-star hotel.  Though there are some formal and traditional touches (the chandeliers, wood pillars and the wait staff attire), the decor still feels contemporary.

While the dining room is fine, the outside dining area really shines.  The refined outdoor patio has the perfect location because it sits where Rodeo Dr. and Wilshire meet, which provides a bustling scene during the day.  Once you throw in the elegant but simple table settings and the imposing, nice exterior of the Beverly Wilshire, dining outside at The Blvd for lunch feels like you have one of the best tables in town.

The assorted complimentary bread features a piece that is a cross between a bread stick and a baguette.  There was a lot of crunch to it; I would have preferred it a little softer.  There was a hearty roll that had some dried fruits and nuts in it.  That was pretty good.  There was also a flat crisp.

The menu featured several starters, a casual menu and an elegant menu.  Several of the options on the casual menu though were just as pricey as the elegant menu.  The fish and chips entree on the casual menu was pretty expensive.

I started with the ahi tuna tataki, which was served with warm California sweet cherries, a sundried tomato confit and a balsamic and cherry reduction.  On the menu, the dish sounded fresh and light and sweet and vibrant and it was exactly that.

The tuna was served two ways--raw and slightly seared.  Both ways tasted good and fresh.  The warm cherries were very nice and sweet and went well with the tuna.  The sundried tomato confit base provided a nice tanginess to the dish.  The sauce was both a little bit savory and a little bit sweet.  The dish was garnished with chives, mint and some candied orange rind that provided a sharp contrast to the rest of the flavors.

While the ahi tuna excited me on the menu, the entrees were a lot of stuff I've had before.  I finally settled on the grilled hanger steak, which was a good and well executed dish even if it was not unique.  The hanger steak was grilled and served medium rare over a bed of warm heirloom tomatoes.  Hanger steak is a cheaper cut, but it can be really good, which this one was.  It was flavorful and tender--quite similar to a good rib-eye cut.

The heirloom tomatoes were really good--fresh and vibrant.  The steak was accompanied by a lightly dressed arugula salad.  The salad was topped with thinly shaved manchego cheese--nice thin texture and good taste (similar to parmesan but smoother flavor).

The desserts sounded good and they offered a dessert sampler (the ability to pick 3), which I ordered.  The desserts were not as good as the starter and the entree.  With each of the little dessert samples, there were great components, but as a whole, they were nothing special.

The chocolate lava cake had a nice chocolate taste and went well with the very tasty strawberry yuzu sauce.  Unfortunately, there was no lava to it.  It was just a moist chocolate cake.  The cake came with a scoop of good Tahitian vanilla ice cream (good flavor and nice consistency).  The ice cream was served on cookie crumbs and garnished with a thin chocolate sheet.

The s'mores cheesecake was a chocolate cheesecake with a graham crust that was topped with toasted housemade marshmallow.  The toasted marshmallow was good and would be a nice addition to many desserts, but the chocolate cheesecake and graham crust were boring (the cheesecake was a little dry).

The grilled polenta cake with cherry ice cream in a cherry soup base did not look that great, but it actually tasted pretty good.  While the ice cream melted a little too much, I did like it (as well as the cherry soup).  The polenta cake was a just a little piece of cake.  It tasted fine, but I was expecting something better.

The desserts were garnished with strawberries, raspberries and blueberries.

Service was good and what you would expect from a place like this--polished, professional and polite.  The service was not stuffy either.

I really liked my experience at The Blvd and wish I would have tried it sooner.  The Blvd is open for weekends and it is a great Rodeo Dr. lunch spot if you don't mind spending a little bit on your lunch.  While The Blvd's lunch menu is kind of on the pricey side, you could end up paying just as much at nearby La Scala or The Grill.  And the food at The Blvd, at least on my visit, was significantly better than those two places.

There are several nearby parking structures.  During the day, some are free for the first 2 hours.
