Driven by this place a thousand times and finally stopped in. Â Soo glad we did! Â It was a late weeknight and we were famished having helped our son move. Â Bono's was the perfect ending to a long day. Â I had the "Wow Beef" sandwich (Italian beef with melted cheese) and my husband had a cheeseburger. Â Both were delicious. Â They have a very good beer selection and the drafts come with a chilled glass - our favorite. Â The staff was friendly and the prices fair, who could ask for more? Â Treat yourself to this little gem - it's worth a visit.
Review Source:Great sports bar! Definitely has the sports bar atmosphere with dark lighting, high barstools, tv screens everywhere, crazy/random decor etc.
What's also great about this place is that they have a separate "fast food" area to sit at if you want some quiet or you're with your kids!
I came here on a Sunday with my boyfriend because our usual bar didn't have the game we wanted. Luckily, Bono's did! They were super nice and when we asked to change the channel to our game, they generously did.
Sundays the special is a bucket of 5 bottles of corona for $15! The food special was wings for 45 cents. So much better than the usual 50 cent. It makes a big difference. (They also have specials everyday of the week)
The wings were juicy and full of meat. (Unlike those chain wing restaurants) The sauce wasn't too hot or wasn't too bland. They also give you a hugee side of bleu cheese or ranch (for those condiment lovers).
On sundays during the halftime of the bears game, they come out with free pizza! They came out with about 6-7 12" thin crust pizzas all with different toppings.
The only reason I give a 3 instead of a 4 is that the pizza wasn't great at all. Very dry, no sauce, very thin, barely any cheese; But what do you expect when it's free! I just hope the pizza isn't like that when you order it at regular price.
