I've met a friend here two or three times because it's a halfway point between our houses and they don't give us a hard time about sitting there for hours. (Having been a server myself for many years, I generally warn them that we'll be there awhile but settle the bill right away to be courteous.)

I'm always happy with the market bar at Stir Crazy (this one and the only other one I've ever been to, in Brookfield, WI). I love the ginger Thai sauce. I also adore the way that I can pick out whichever vegetables I want--not just the variety, but the specific ones. I'm picky about veggies, especially my mushrooms and spinach. (I also like that Stir Crazy gets me to eat my veggies!)

I also really appreciate the free refills on lemonade--it's good lemonade, not the stuff that comes from a fountain, like Minute Maid or whatever. I just discovered this on my last visit.

As far as chains go, I'm fond of Stir Crazy. I like knowing I'm getting fresh vegetables and the atmosphere is more comfortable (Read: Less cheesy) than most chains.

went in during the week at lunch and this place was almost empty. I heard some one order a beef stir fry and the manager tell the cook don't forget to put the beef in like you did last time, this should have told me to run but i stayed and ordered. I ordered the lobster potstickers which had a funky smell, and a stir fried spicy chicken which was salty, the noodles were soggy and gross, dont Waste your time and money on this slop there are far better choices. YUCK

Not sure that a chain restaurant really needs a review, but here goes.

This was the first time I've been to a Stir Crazy in probably about 10 years. The experience was pleasant, not bad, but not stellar. To start we had the pork pot stickers and the chicken satay. Both were really good, but the pork pot stickers had a chicken pot sticker hiding among their ranks (or maybe it was just really bad pork). Not a horrible thing, but I really like my pork pot stickers and was saddened to have one less to enjoy.

Wife and I both had the market bar thingy and I went up for seconds (shrimp the first time, chicken the second time). Now, I loaded these things down with sauce. I'm talking, all the way to the brim of the cup. Thing is, I couldn't tell the difference in taste between the Ginger-Garlic Sauce and the Thai BBQ Sauce (maybe I just picked two really similar sauces?). Actually, I don't really think I tasted much sauce at all. Felt like I was just chowing on veggies and meat stir-fried in plain ol' wok oil. It was still good, but not write-home good.

Daughter had the chicken fingers which she actually ate (she's notoriously picky) because I showed her how "fun" it was to spear them with the chopsticks. Also on the plus side, my soda was constantly refilled.

So there you have it. A pretty useless review. Guess that's to be expected from any 3-Star review. Aren't those, by definition, inoffensive and non-committal?
