Bricciola is a cozy, lovely wine bar in hell's kitchen. I came for a weeknight dinner a couple days ago. The burrata w/ proscuitto dish that everyone raves about is a MUST. So delicious. We also came during happy hour so oysters we $1. Ordered a dozen which were very fresh and delicious. We would've ordered another dozen if we had the stomach space. I had the lobster risotto for my main which was absolutely delicious. The dish came with hearty chunks of lobster and was tomato based risotto. The dish was not heavy the way most cream based risottos are. It was perfectly seasoned and filling. My friend ordered clam linguini which was full of tasty garlic sauce. However, the dish paled in comparison to the lobster risotto. Seriously, the lobster risotto, oysters, and burrata w/ proscuitto are MUST trys.
This place is tiny so don't bother coming with large groups. Also, the primary seating is at a communal bar table so be prepared to get cozy with your neighbors.
I almost don't want to leave a good review because I don't want anyone to know about my new favorite spot in the neighborhood. Small and cozy, this place is a hidden gem. Although the portions are on the small side, everything we had was amazing. $1 Oysters, Octopus Salad, and the Steak were delicious. For the portion size it was a bit pricey, but it was so good its worth the splurge and you don't leave feeling stuffed and uncomfortable. Great for a bite before going out for drinks or dancing. Only downside I would say is the size of the restaurant. Not good for groups as there is just one communal table, and a bar for seating, with little chairs along the wall separation. I feel that we got lucky to get a seat as fast as we did, the place was PACKED. Overall, great place to take a date, or a catch up session with a friend. Definitely will be back.
