The service was the worst I've ever had in my entire life. Took 20 minutes for him to bring us water, didn't take our orders correctly, and when the wrong salad arrived, it was absolutely terrible and drowned in dressing. We couldn't even eat it. He also neglected to bring us bread as every other table received, and when we asked for the check to finally leave this terrible restaurant, he blew us off. Would not recommend this place, try any other restaurant on the strip.

I'm guessing this place is a hit or miss based on all the reviews but if you decide that you would like to have an amazing experience I recommend having Lisa as your server. She treated us like family, advised us on what to order(not based on price but quality of the items on the menu) and everything she recommended was did not disappoint.
Based on our experience I urge you to try the grouper, cartoccio, veal chop parmigiana, and their diablo pasta.
I don't recommend their lobster or filet mignon

This is definitely a place where they specialize in the drink area. Food is ok, but its the drinks in this place that stand out. Mondo size Margarita's!!!

We were lured in off the street by the sight of people drinking margaritas the size of their heads. I wish we had read the reviews first. Our experience was distinctly unimpressive.

    Pros:
+ It's easily accessible from the beach
+ The seafood appetizers we ordered were quite good (tuna carpaccio & mussels)

    Cons:
    - The massive margaritas everyone is drinking taste like medicine. They have very little alcohol in them (if any).
    - The "2 for 1" margarita deal isn't really a deal because the price for one is over $18.
    - The service is PAINFULLY slow. I had to get up from the table twice and bring someone over to get noticed. Not a good place to go if you're hungry and want to eat quickly.

My guess is that the only reason this place has restaurant business is because tourists come in off the beach and don't read the reviews (just like us).

New Year's Eve, 2012. You expect it to be busy and I give the restaurant credit, the food came out fast - kudos to the chef Roberto and his staff. The service however was quite lacking - forgetting drinks, spilling drinks all over one of the individual's in our party, long periods without a visit from the server and the dreaded "entertainment charge" that could barely be seen on the front sign. Suggestion - reiterate the charge either as an insert in the menu or be informed when sitting down.

While the music was enjoyable, the resulting bill put a damper on a great evening out. Not quite how we wanted to ring in the new year.

Because the food was good, I'd like to try it again, without all of the hoopla that NYE brings...

I don't quite understand all the complaints about this place. You get what you pay for and by no means should you walk into a place like this and expect amazing food. It really is a cool nightclub that is in a great area so serves good during the day.

If you want fine dining on A1A of course this is not the right place but you should also know better. Looking at the place it is very clear that it's not about the food, it's about the location.

So if you're okay with standard fare food the big drinks and music do make this a fun oceanfront spot. Just be honest with yourself and don't expect amazing food because that's not their focus, location, drinks an music are.

Why oh why didn't I look this place up on yelp??? Yelp never steers me wrong...but this time...this was totally my fault. So the place itself is nice. We got a table on the sidewalk under an umbrella. Had a great view of the beach; prime people-watching. Boy oh boy were there were some sights to be seen, let me tell ya! Anyway...fiancee ordered a tuna sandwich with as side of Ranch. Our waiters had to go check to see if they carried Ranch. No Ranch. So he changed his order to their cheeseburger, with a side of BBQ. She left to check, came back with "no BBQ." Is Ft. Lauderdale anti-condiment?? He went back to tuna, sans Ranch. I ordered the coconut shrimp app as my meal. For $12, I got 5 shrimp. Kind of pitiful, really. They were very yummy, as was the mango relish I dipped them in. His sandwich was decent. Once our wait tress took our order initially, we never saw her. She never came to refill our waters, check on us, or run the food out. Instead, she sat 2 tables behind us, and bs'd with her coworkers, who decided to sing loudly, off-key, to every song playing. We waited for about 15 minutes after we were finished eating for her to come over so we could ask for the check. I think this place was a bit of a tourist trap. Once we mentioned being from out of town, our service went from ok, to nonexistent. So this place has decent, overpriced food, with horrible service. AVOID IT.

So, we stopped by because they had a good 2 man band playing.  Asked the guy what desserts they had and he came out with this great platter with the desserts of the evening.  We decided to order the pecan cheesecake and 2 double espresso's, espresso and a cappuccino.  The drinks came first.  We were all wondering where our "double" espressos were.  Then we got the cheesecake.  The presentation was beautiful but the cheesecake was FROZEN.  So we get the bill and they charged us for 3 double espressos.  I told the waiter we did not get  3 double espressos and he said we did.  I told him the cheesecake was frozen and it was the worst cheesecake in my life,  he didn't care.  I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN!!! Don't waste your money people.  Then he came to the table with the check and gave me a dollar stating that the double espresso was a dollar more and he was gonna pay for my double espresso.  Needless to say, that dollar was his tip.  What a waste.

We were on vacation in Ft Lauderdale and somehow when I checked YELP I only saw the good reviews.  I should have checked more of your reviews because it seems the majority of them are right on target -  a wait staff that doesn't care and has pretty crappy attitude.

I even made a reservation for 4 for dinner because I was the one who picked the restaurant - and was told by a nice deep voice "we'll take care of you".  Well after 15 minutes of waiting for somebody to figure where we should sit they finally seated the group & then 10 minutes later actually moved our booth into the aisle because the overhead a/c was dripping on the table.  Everyone liked their food & we did enjoy the 3 piece band (maybe it was the $13. martini's that helped?)   Our appetizer was served just a minute before our dinners so we sent it back & of course, the server had an attitude when I said to take it off the bill.  Most of the wait staff didn't care a bit whether we enjoyed our dinner or never came back again.

Be aware - they add the tip on your bill without saying anything and with such crappy attitude our server definately didn't deserve a double tip.

This place deserves a zero star!!  We made the mistake of not checking the reviews from Yelp! We saw it very crowded and thought that it probably would be good, but NO!! Awful service, terrible food, not good at all !! DON'T GO HERE!

They have live music which is very good but it's too loud so you can't even hear your thoughts!  It was a terrible experience.
The service is awfully slow.  When we arrived we asked a waiter if we can sit by ourselves or if they will assigned us a table, he told us to hold there.  We were waiting and waiting and waiting, after about 15 minutes someone came and guide us to our table.  Again, we were waiting, waiting, waiting and nobody came for at least 10 minutes.  The waiter appeared and gave us the menu which had not much variety of choices.
We ordered bruschetta and calamari del mar for appetizer.  The bruschetta was slimy, wet and not crunchy at all as it should be!  The calamari were so so.

For main course gnocchi of the day (came with pink sauce), caesar salad, rigatoni & pollo limone and a strawberry daikiri.  Where I can start... the pink sauce for the gnocchi was actually tomato sauce (no cream at all), very sour. The rigatoni were undercooked and the daikiri was strawberry juice, no alcohol at all !! A huge dessapointment!  The caesar salad was OK.

Does Yelp allow zero stars? Horrible service that takes forever and is nowhere worth the cost. Side salad was $7. Really?  Ripoff. Avoid this place and keep walking.

Absolutely a terrible experience. This is a terrible TOURIST TRAP!

After a full day at the beach, we headed out to look for a restaurant with a great view and not too far from the Marriott we were staying at. We were drawn in from the fun looking, giant margaritas and the half off wine special (more on this later).

We were seated outside on dingy cushioned benches. The view was great though (right across the street from the beach). The waiter came to get our drink orders. My husband and I asked about the wine special and were told that wine was half off. We ordered a white wine and the kids got virgin margaritas along with a couple appetizers. We received the drinks, they were fine. Then the appetizers came and were not very good. The calamari was overcooked and very hard to chew and the chicken wings were fine, just average.

We get our entrees. My husband gets an eggplant salad tower thing that was fine except the eggplant was barely cooked. My daughter gets a cream pasta loaded with cream and lacking any flavor. I am sharing a spicy pasta dish where the seafood was nothing special and the pasta overcooked. I am sorry but I was very dissapointed when an Italian restaurant did not serve some decent pasta. My son got a pasta with a giant meatball from the "kids menu" (note: there was no children's menu but the waiter verbally offered us some selections). I didn't let him eat the meatball as I was a little worried about how cooked it was. Something like that needed a thorough cooking and I wasn't taking any chances.

We were never checked on during our meal. Our server came by when we were finished to pick up the plates. My family owns a restaurant up in DC and if there ever is a customer who has barely touched a plate, we definitely inquire about it and don't just pick it up without asking if we enjoyed it...

Finally, we get the bill. And gratiuity is already added which is fine and we see the 50 dollar wine we ordered was not half off. We try to get a hold of our waiter who is no where to be found even though the restaurant has only a few tables. We ask him about the charge and he replies saying that only red wine is 50% off... I was very angry cause by the hostess stand, on the menu, and FROM OUR SERVER'S MOUTH we were made aware that wine, in general, was 50% off and now after the bill comes there are now being specific. We ask for the manager who is less helpful and even less professional blaming us and refusing to give the discount. We realized nothing was being done so we cut the servers tip paid the almost $175 bill and left.

I do not like sneaky people and I hope that this establishment does not survive and I don't think my wish is far off. While other restaurants were packed, this one only has a few tables and with the nightlife of the area and proximity to the beach it is flat out embarrassing.

This place sucks even for ft lauderdale beach. I got mussels and they were raw. Pretty much goo. The bread was hard as a rock. Probably a week old. I ate the mussels that were cooked which was about half (and a few gooey ones. I told the waitress and she took 10% off while adding 20% for gratuity eventhough the service was horrendous. Might be the worst place I've ever been.

This was our first dinner stop for a week long vacation earlier this month. Checked into the hotel and wandered down A1A looking for some live music and good food. We found both at Cafe Del Mar.

I ordered a very spicy pasta dish with fresh calamari and shrimp. My boyfriend ordered risotto and we were presented with fresh bread to start. The music on this Monday night was awesome. Latin feel and the guitarist was awesome.  The portions are HUGE so we took over half of what we left over back to the hotel.

Good pick and I would go again.

Went here for breakfast with my three year old son on May 17.  Food was good and our waitress, Martha, was initially very pleasant.  However, after our food was served, we didn't see Martha again until it was time for the check.  Actually, I did see her; she spent the majority of this 15-20 minutes flirting with two guys at another table.  I needed a refill on my drink and my son need additional silverware, but we never got a chance to  ask for these.  A 15% gratuity was added to our bill, along with another line for "additional tip."  I entered a big fat zero in the additional tip line.  I also wrote on my bill that had we received more attention, I would have tipped more.

As a sidenote, I submitted this review to the restaurant's website the same day I dined there.  Not surprisingly, the review hasn't been posted.

First off didn't yelp as I always do...my bad!
Waitress Valeria upon giving us menus told us of specials. I chose ribeye steak with
    mashed and side veggie.
Asked us if we wanted drinks, we told her would have with entrees. I asked if there was a special appetizer, her response "oh yeah, eggplant rollatini." So we chose that.   Ribeye came out slathered in a mole which was not mentioned by waiter or on menu board at entrance. Too sweet. Side was eggplant chunks mushy and bland. A good waiter would have mentioned eggplant side when ordering eggplant app. Ribeye tough all the way through. Waiter after both app. And entree did not ask if we enjoyed,  nor did she ask about our wine with entree so we decided not to order any, so they screwed themselves out of the liquor mark up. After we were eating entres for a couple minutes she then asks if we wanted fresh pepper. I checked their website while eating and it had a Friday night special of 10 dollars off second entrees.  I asked her about it and she said "l'll have to ask my boss". Ask your boss? Its on your website!  Kicked was $40 for leathery steak but we did get 10 dollars off. This waitress was as unenthusiastic and caring as one can be and no wonder, the 15 percent gratuity was already included for a party of 2 which is unusual.  Avoid at all costs and remember to Yelp!

I feel dumb.  I'm an avid Yelper and I didn't read these reviews before we sat down on that faithful Sunday morn'....

As another Yelper mentioned, not very friendly.  Walking up there was no one at the hostess stand.  Walking in we saw an employee and I asked "Do we just sit anywhere?", she said, without looking at us "Yup".  Cool... we sat down and shortly after that our waiter came over to take our drink order.  While we looked over the menu, 5-8 minutes passed and another sever asked if we'd been helped yet.  We said yes and told her we ordered a coffee and a water a while ago.  a minute or two later, the server came over with our coffee and water.  He appologized about the wait - didn't explain it, but DID at least offer the apology.  And if you're wondering, no it wasn't waiting for fresh brewed coffee because it was clearly not just brewed based on the taste.

We shared a "build your own omlette".  As offered on the menu we ordered and egg white omlette with: "Red & Green Peppers", "Onion" & "Fresh Mozzerella". It comes with potatoes and toast.  We ordered Wheat toast and an extra Crossaint to share.

The omlette came out looking good.  However, there was only Yellow Peppers in it, no onion and the Mozzeralla was not "fresh" it was like deli cut regular suff.  The Crossaint was not a nice fresh pastry.  It tased like it was from the sale rack at the local grocery store... fine, but not worth the $3.95 (I think) they charged for it.  The potatoes were at best OK.  The wheat toast was one piece of funny tasting bread.

Oh, BTW, they broke a glass right next to/on us and we had to move to the next table over. The sever who did it came back to sweep, she left SO much glass we just kinda looked at eachother and thougth about folks like us in flip flops getting cut... oh well I suppose.

Café Del Mar receives the official distinction of being the worst restaurant I dined at during a recent weekend trip to Fort Lauderdale. The place is certainly proximal to the ocean, but the service is abysmal, the food is heinously disastrous, and the prices are not consistent with the quality and quantity of the food offerings.

Food: The menu at Café Del Mar is predominately comprised of Mediterranean fare with a strong Italian influence. The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, but this review relates only to my experience for breakfast. I ultimately decided to order the French toast, which the menu claimed could be topped with bananas for an additional charge. Unfortunately, upon asking for the addition of bananas, the waitress tersely replied "no bananas".  I'm assuming this response meant that the kitchen was out of bananas, which was puzzling considering that it was 10 AM on a Sunday morning and another waitress could be overhead offering it as an option to multiple tables around us. Once the naked French toast did arrive, it was mildly reminiscent of something you'd expect from a drive-thru chain restaurant - lukewarm and flavorless.

Service: Take a good look at the staff on the way in because that will be the last time you see them. The waitress during my visit was indifferent, slow, and virtually nonexistent. To add insult to injury, she rewarded her incompetence with an automatic gratuity on a table of two.

Atmosphere: The viewing definitely beats the chewing. In addition to the oceanfront view, Café Del Mar features daily live entertainment.  The quality of the entertainment varies by the day, but usually consists of either jazz or Latin performers.

Cost: Moderately priced for the area, but you can definitely get better elsewhere, for less. Breakfast entrees are $6-$12, lunch entrees are $10-$15, and dinner entrees are $15-$35.

Other: In addition to a daily happy hour, Café Del Mar also features various specials throughout the week, including 1/2 priced bottles of wine on Monday and Tuesday, and $10 off any entrée with the purchase of another entrée from 5PM to 7PM every day.

Granted the guitarist is good but the food is expensive which I don't mind as long as it is good, it wasn't.
I ordered the chicken tricolor and it was a big plate but not much flavor. The Tuna steak was small and cold, the rigatoni de pollo had some little cubes of chicken that looked that were taken from the frozen section at a supermarket.
I won't come back for sure but the music is good. Apparently the managers do not read these reviews since it seems consistent.
The guitarrist does not dissapoint but I am rating the food and not the ambiance. If they would change the menu and make it more appealing they would have even bigger crowds. But I guess the music is enough for most.

Not impressed at all. Six of us ate here and the food was nothing to write home about. The service is what really upset us. Our waiter, after taking orders and serving our food, was all about flirting with the blondes at the table next to us instead of paying attention to any refills or other things we needed at our table. We were hoping to split the bill but he told us that max three credit cards could be used to pay a bill, which he claims he told us at the start of our service (which he absolutely did not). Honestly, the place is a tourist trap on the A1A. There have to be better options than this in Fort Lauderdale.

This review is for the music only!

We didn't eat here, actually ate somewhere else and were wandering down A1A on the way back to our hotel.

WOW! The guy and his sons who play the Spanish Guitar ROCKED! I'd order an average meal just to be able to sit down and listen to them for a while.  (Hate to say it, but we just hung out on the sidewalk with the rest of the crowd and enjoyed the concert!  I just couldn't put another bite or sip down else I would have patronized the restaurant just for the music!)

The food is good, service is super slow and the waiter and waitresses are a bit unfriendly but we came here to watch Alex the guitarist play and his performance makes up for everything else.  My wife was blown away and I was impressed.  It was worthwhile and I will highly recommend anyone to come here to watch Alex perform!

The waitress was nice but the server was annoyed and had a bad attitude because we told him he brought out the wrong meal. We stopped in for breakfast and unfortunately they forgot the cheese, bread, ketchup, sugar, etc. we had to keep reminding them. I never had my eggs and potatoes seasoned and i hated their Mediterranean  seasoning. I wouldn't go back.

Cafe Del mar is right on A1A Fort lauderdale beach area..you can see the beach while enjoying some food. My dad ordered the spaghetti puttanesca. It came with shrimps, capers, extra virgin oil, garlic and italian plum tomatoes. I oedered the bruschetta appetizers. Food was ok. The bruschetta was a lil pricey ( just bread and tomotoes.. come on..lol)
I also get the big size marguarita. Overall it was a nice relaxing day with dad. Nothing to fancy. location is dead gergous right by the beach.

Not great food for a restaurant that overlooks the ocean.
Sea food was served with lumpy mash and heavy garlic  seasoned spinach.
On top of that the fish was server with a bland sauce and mushy fruit on top. All slopped onto a plate.
Oh and it was expensive.. guess that's what you get for a tourist trap of the main beech.

I must admit the cocktails looked fun.  But then I can find better places for cocktails!

Yes this place is touristy but oh how fun! The whole restaurant is basically outside but a portion of the tables and bar is up a few steps and covered by a canopy so you're kind of separated from the people walking on the street and it doesn't get too hot. On the weekends they have a live singer/band which is usually nice but on one occasion the singer was so loud I couldn't even talk to my boyfriend who was sitting right across from me. Of course, my go to dish here is the linguine and clams. It's pretty damn good but could use a little extra garlic for my liking. The bf loves to get the veal parm which is literally a huuuuge bone in piece of veal. Definitely a cave-man style dish but it really is good. One time I went on my birthday and the owner gave us a free dessery so that was really nice. This is one of my favorite beach restaurants.

Note: they have the same menu for lunch and dinner so the prices seem a little steep for lunch. I won't ever go back for lunch since the food didn't seem as fresh either but love it for dinner. Whole different experience.

I went here for a quick brunch break from basking in the beautiful beaches of Fort Lauderdale.

This place is basically on/part of the beach!  It's a minute or two walk from the waves and made for a solid brunch.  Atmosphere is... well... beachy?  I sat out in the sun and enjoyed the ocean view over my meal.

The food wasn't punch you in the face amazing, but salmon eggs Benedict really hit the spot before lounging in the sun.

Drinks were fairly expensive ($10/a pop!) but they were offering a 2 for one deal for bloody marys and mimosas, so everything evened itself out.

This place is worth a quick beach break to recharge the batteries or re-punish your liver.  For me anyhow it balanced out my morning nicely.

First off, they had flamenco guitarists and a dancer, which enhanced the entire experience.  That said, I was still very impressed with the food and drink there.  Big portions of pasta (I had a shrimp and calamari pasta dish that was nice and spicy, my friend had the zuppa de pesce that she barely made a dent in) that were full of flavor and generous amounts of sea food.  Pricey, but worth it.  And they had 2 for 1 margaritas that were insanely large (and no, I don't think the alcohol is affecting my judgment) yet not watered down.  And it's by the beach, a major plus.   I will admit that it took awhile before the waitress noticed us again to give us our checks (after being very attentive most of our time) and sitting at the bar felt a little cramped, but overall a positive experience.

After being disappointed by a few hour places along the beach, I was quite happy with this place.  Definitely worth going back to.

When I visited Cafe Del Mar in Spring 2010, the food was sub par and overpriced, but my experience in Spring 2011 was anything but mediocre.
Previously, my  family and I had only visited Cafe Del Mar to see the legendary flamenco guitarist  Alex Fox play with his son Sebastien (seriously some of the best live entertainment in South Florida, if not the world), but this spring we decided to dine in at the Cafe and I am sooooo happy we did! We had a table of 6 so I had the opportunity to try quite a few dishes:
Spaghetti Puttanesca- amazing, even though it was anchovy-free.
Tuna salad- fresh and seared to perfection.
Frutta de mare- filled with fresh clams, mussels, calamari, and shrimp

The portions were HUGE and we were all able to partner up and share meals, which made our visit very affordable:).

On the Ft. Lauderdale beach strip, it's hard to distinguish where a restaurant begins and ends. It seems every place has fishbowl-sized drinks lining their patio tables. But Cafe Del Mar's blue awning caught our attention because it had "Seafood" written on it. After a fruitless attempt to get good seafood from Da Big Kahuna and an afternoon on the beach and in the ocean, we decided to try our luck again with Cafe Del Mar.

Though she wanted to seat us indoors, we had to ask the hostess to seat us on the patio. Our server was nice and friendly. My only gripe is that we had to ask for the free bread that everyone else was enjoying.

We ordered two entrees, a side salad and a mudslide. Those fishbowl drinks are no joke. Our server was nice enough to get extra chocolate for us. The side salad was large enough to be an entree with some added protein.

For our entrees, we ordered the Grilled Atlantic Salmon and the Black Skillet Seared Tuna Steak. Both were very tasty and enormous like the drink. For the price we paid, we were glad to have such hefty servings.

Seafood meal accomplished, we could leave Ft. Lauderdale happy.

The service was suuuuuper slow. And the syrup!!! Oh, the syrup! It was gross! It was like watered down i dont know what!

Well this joint has the potential to be a fun place. Beach front location and a bar that features giant margaritas.  Compared to some of the other  beach front locales, Cafe Del Mar is par for the course. Shifty service , mediocre food, grimy digs and high prices.  You would think this formula would get a little old, it is hard to imagine many locals would be sober enough to stumble into here for a meal but the tourists seem to have no problem getting sucked into these kind of joints.  You can probably imagine my surprise when  a friend of mine wanted to go there for her birthday lunch.

We started out with the giant margs and then we ordered some apps.  The wings were actually pretty good, a few calamari rings were suspect, the tomato on moz was white/not sure if they are supposed to be that way on a 12 dollar dish...

I tried the clams over spaghetti in a white wine/garlic sauce.  The whole clams covered the plate but it was soon evident they were tossed in , but not necessarily cooked in the sauce.  Another friend had the same thing and said perhaps they were nuked into submition.  Which now looking back on it would explain the mild taste and pencil eraser texture.

Dessert selection was limited to tiramisu and "orange" cake (probably a harvey wallbanger cake...but the staff of this joint would not necessarily know what that meant), and was huge because we assumed they were trying to get rid of it before it went south.

Overall, we had fun at the location but a lot of the party were not really satisfied by the service or quality of the meals.

Daughter's friend wanted to eat on the beach to people watch. Wow, the spring breakers were everywhere.....busy...busy....We got a table for the four of us. They had drink specials 2 for 1 $14.95. Now, this place can make some good drinks. They were huge and strong.

    Appetizer:
We ordered chicken wings- awesome wings and drums, very large, good amount of meat on them, flavorful, very crispy, with hot sauce on the side for dipping.

    Entree:
Greek Salad- my dish, lettuce fresh, decent size, lacked dressing, dry, had to order more dressing which I never got. Surprise! This is service at it's best on the beach.

Chicken Pannini with fries- cold, and not that great.
Cheeseburger with fries- had to return it because their was a huge piece of hair on the plate. Took twenty minutes to get a new one. No manager even stopped by to apologize.

Penne Limon Pasta with Chicken- no lemon in this dish but pasta was cooked properly, a bit on the dry side.

Bottom line food is below average. Service- hhmm, not good at all. Try and get some water or refill cocktails and this could be a difficult task.

If you want some great wings and cocktails, stop here! And that is all.
They did have a young lady playing the guitar and singing on stage, and she was very good. We did enjoy her music.

Service: Typical South Florida beach service, need to flag them down for anything you need, put on a smile when they give you the check. Gratuity included but they don't mention it to you hoping you'll overlook it and double tip.

Went for breakfast and though it was reasonably priced the food was not great. Toast was only toasted on one side, omelet was filled with way too much cheese and the whole meal was luke warm.

The view got 2 stars but the rest of it was easily forgettable.

Another spot on the beach with margaritas  the size of fish bowls bigger than my head.  Dang...  And you can get 2 for the price of 1?!  Man, these guys in Florida really know how to get you to drink.

The food was actually pretty good too.  The roasted pepper glazed chicken sandwich was DELICIOUS!!!  And the burgers and pasta?...  Eh, it was alright.

Cafe Del Mar was much cleaner than the Crab and Seafood House which I appreciated.

Giant Pina Coladas!!!  We were walking down Las Olas looking for a place to eat and noticed these giant glasses of pina coladas and strawberry margaritas!  We decided to just eat here since its right in front of the beach.  Great view. We found out they were 2 for 1 and ordered 2 Pina Coladas.  We weren't that hungry and ended up ordering 3 appetizers: fried calamaries, crab cakes, and salmon carpaccio.

Yes, I do have a thing for smoked and cured salmon but the one here was so salty.  It came with artichokes and capers.  We had to ask for bread to tone down the saltiness of it.

The crab cakes were pretty good.  It came with an aioli sauce that was a bit strong too so dip it in moderation.

The fried calamaries were the best.  How can you go wrong with that?  I like their dipping sauce.  It wasn't the usual marinara sauce but an orange sauce with pepper flakes that give it a nice kick.

Appetizers were $11-15 a plate and the pina coladas were $14.95 (2 for 1).  They also automatically add 15% gratuity on top of that.  Service was ok.

Pros: Nice view of the beach; people watch; music, ambiance

Cons: pretty pricey for average food

Four dollars a cup for shitty coffee.

I can only assume the quality of food follows. Music was too loud and obnoxious.

Friendly service from a gay waiter who made my dad really uncomfortable. So a star for that.

This is a great date place and one of my favorites on Ft. Lauderdale beach. The music and dancing in the show can get a bit intense, but the food is good and you can't beat sitting outside and feeling the ocean breeze on your face. End the meal with their unbelievable tiramisu and then walk of the calories on the beach or got dance the night away at Beach Place.

Parking is available very nearby in public parking lots.
