I was there for the second time in a week last Saturday for one of the owners birthdays.  Again, a hit!  Super friendly and attentive staff, rocking bartenders that know there stuff, and a super laid back ambiance of dark wood, brick and comfy couches.  A separate dining room allows you to eat in a more intimate setting if you want or you can mingle close to the bar if you want to be more social.  And everything on the menu is delicious!  This place is destined to become a mainstay!

Just had a late dinner at the Carson House - it was delicious. The service was great - our waiter was really nice and attentive, they thought of everything before we had to ask. It made this dinner a 5-star experience.

We had the short rib sliders; the chef, Johnny, stopped by our table and told us they were braised for 12 hours in root beer, beef stock, red wine, and some other goodness. A must order.

The crispy crawfish mac and cheese was so cheesy and loaded with crawfish. Really, really good, stick to your ribs, huge portion.

The cauliflower house specialty was also incredible. A full head of cauliflower served with a delicious cheese sauce on the side. Again, great portion size. Simple but really, really tasty.

Another favorite was the Philly Cheesesteak Potstickers with tomato jam. BOMB! Savory and crispy - just awesome.

Next time we'll try some of the signature drinks and entrees. There's tons of great stuff on the menu. Looking forward to a return trip.

Carson House is a winner! Just waiting for the Happy Hour Specials to Begin!

Great Food, Great Service - what more can you ask for in the West LA/BH area. Living only a few few blocks away I prefer to support local establishments.

Our Server was very helpful with suggestions and the Executive Chef came out to chat (it was quiet at 5:30pm on Monday Evening)  It is always a simple, yet nice thing when the Chef comes out to chat and make you feel special (and appreciated for visiting his establishment).

The White Flat bread was delicious, but the homemade S'Mores are what I crave (Damn you CH for introducing me to these tasty morsels!). The Drink Menu is great and the prices are reasonable.

Looking forward to my next experience!

I was in Beverly Hills with a friend early this week and had an opportunity to dine at Carson House.  I was amazed at the ambiance and the quality of my dining experience.  My servier, Nick, could not have been more attentive.
We opted for a variety of starters that included chicken lollipops, philly cheese steak potstickers, crawfish mac& cheese and some flatbreads.  EVERYTHING was delicious - I couldn't even decide which plate I preferred.
Reasonably priced and phenomenal atmsosphere and service.  Kudos to Patrick (our bartender) and Nick (our server).

If you are in the Beverly Hills or LA area Carson House is a DO NOT MISS!!!!

Get in here.  There is a multitude of reasons why you need to pop in, if you have not done so already.  Don't get me started... Well, if I must:  The food is nothing short of fabulous.

I was hard pressed with making my selections, but after consultating with the regulars, and thinking really hard, given the wonderful, and ectectic choices, I decided on the Tar Tar Tacos.  Make no mistake, there is no tortilla involved in this scenario.  In substitution, a romaine shell comes front and center as it is what holds the ahi, while it is coddled by the amazing papaya pico de gallo, minus the gallo.  If that is not enough to send your tastebuds into sensory overload, just couple all of that with with one heck of a wasabi guacamole.  Yes, that is what I said.  I actually had to tell people that I could not talk to them at the moment.  Just let me eat this without talking, damnit.  Not intending to be rude, of course, now back to my Tar Tar....Yes, indeed.
I was never even hungry in the first place, but all of you chow-hounds may want to choose the Pretzel Burger.

Anyway, now, I am full, but just eating for fun.  I clearly did not need to eat more, nor order anything else, but felt this strange and overwhelming desire to do so.

I have had many a mac and cheese, but the consensus was that this one was amazing.  So, there comes the crispy crawfish mac and cheese, served in the cutest, tiny, cast-iron potette.  If the smell didn't take me over, the taste did.  It was as if there was an orgasm going on in my mouth without my consent.  If you don't try this, you are selling yourself short.  It may very well be the best item on the menu, but having tried only two items, that would be an unfair assessment.

The food is not good, it is phenominal.  I will return again and again, until I have tasted every tasty morsel that they have to offer.  The staff is amazing, and Ritchie makes you feel like he has known you forever.  The guys tending the oven showed me a thing or two involving caulaflower. (sp)...wow.

If all of this is not enough, please allow me to comment on the ambiance.  It is hip and trendy, in an artsy kind of way, but minus the pretentiousness.

On Wednesday nights the "Old Fashions" play.  One might find this rather humorous, as they are just young kids with old guy names.  Anthony and Donald, amazing guys and wonderful musicians, and let us not forget Drew, who belted out a tune like nobodys business.  One guy, whose name I forgot, will be on national TV on 7-11-13.  Just so you have an indication of the entertainment caliber that this place has to offer

If you have not experienced this cool place, get on in there.  It is fun and great.

And all of you stogy South Bay people, stuck in the beach bubble, this is the reason to jump in your car and cruise down La Cienega for 20 minutes.  Nope, it is not that far.  Burst your darn salt water bubble now.  You can surf later....lol....

I am giving it a double thumbs up, only because I only have two thumbs, or I would give it two more.

Came to Carson House with a couple of friends and I must say, I was rather impressed.  Fair warning though,  try to stay away from the red sofas unless you want to pass out; super comfortable.  A young cat by the name of Nick was our waiter and he knew his stuff from top to bottom.  He provided excellent service and was quick to check in. We got just about every appetizer on the menu and both the chicken lollipops and the Philly cheesesteak potstickers were ridiculously good. Prime tenderloin medallion entree with mushroom medley as a side was delicious.  From the friendly staff and the atmosphere to the quality of the food and drinks, Carson House is one of the better establishments I've been to in Los Angeles.
Ps; try some of their custom cocktails if you like your alcohol!

My boyfriend and I went to check out Carson House after having read their reviews and were thrilled that it was within walking distance away. The service was attentive and very personable with great recommendations. The proprietor Richie stopped by the table to introduce himself and asked how our dining experience was. We told him we were very impressed with their selections, very tasty and great presentation. The atmosphere was very laid back and cool. The chef Johnny also stopped by our table and again, he was very nice and laid back, no pretentiousness or pomp. So if you're looking for great food, great atmosphere, great service without the chaoticness and pretension   that comes with Beverly Hills dining, this is the place to check out. We recommend the chicken loli and the butternut ravioli, yummy! We dine out regularly and frequent the same places often, establishing great relationships with the staff. We would have to say that Carson House will become one of our regular places.

I was in Los Angeles with a friend and was looking for a place to eat. We stumbled around Beverly Hills (as I assume most tourists do) and we used yelp to land on this place. What a gem! It was incredible!! I typically like to order the most simple dish, when at a new restaurant, to see how they do it, so I settled on the chicken with the hummus as an appetizer and the farrow as a side. Everything was perfect! Hummus came in three flavors: regular garbanzo, red bean, and jalapeño. Really neat take on hummus.

My chicken was tender, with a slight sear, and seasoned with incredibly fresh thyme. Quite possibly the best roast chicken I've had. It was served over fire-roasted corn.

The best part of it all? The farrow. This was my first time having it. It was served with sliced cherries, feta and almonds. What a great discovery of a food!

Lastly, the owner made point to touch base with everyone in the dining room. I couldn't rave enough about his restaurant.

Long story short, try it out.

This place is our new home, period.
We are here at least once a week and have brought friends from out of town who have marveled at the superlative service and uniqueness of culinary experience.

    Just get here and enjoy!
Johnny Messina's food is beyond comfort.

I love coming to Carson House for the vibe, food, and staff. I love sitting in the comfy red couches with my friends or the intimate booths in the back with a date. The food is amazing and the prices are very affordable. The staff is always friendly and smiling. This place really feels like home. Oh and Rihno and Patrick make killer cocktails!!! :-p

The food here is really really good.  Hard to go wrong with any appetizer.  The Dijon whip is super addictive.  Be sure to get the pretzels.  The cauliflower must be eaten with the feta sauce, as they are sublime together (just be warned that the cauliflower is an entire head of cauliflower, so be prepared to eat a lot).  The shake-n-bake pork chop was delicious.  Did not save room for desert, but will plan to next time.  Be sure to give yourself an hour or so (no not plan on rushing in and out) so you can enjoy the food.  Hard to go wrong with anything on the menu.  I am looking forward to when they open their happy hour.

The only house party you should head to this weekend is that at Carson House! This swanky new Beverly Hills hotspot serves delicious (and creative!) drinks, has a beautiful interior, and incredibly friendly & attentive staff. Looking  forward to the start of its brunch menu so I can review some Carson House hotcakes!

I was here twice already. The first visit I was not on a diet, so I partook in the flatbread pizzas, philly cheesesteak potstickers, and the tenderloin medallions. They were all awesome.

I came back while on a strict diet and limited myself to the ahi tuna tartar tacos, grilled watermelon salad, and the chicken with corn and potatoes.

Both times I loved the food and appreciated being able to both pig out and eat healthy at the same restaurant. I wish I drank beer as they have 20 craft beers on tap, but alas I do not. My friends had a vodka drink with a rose petal in it that they loved, so if you drink give that a go.

I look forward to making this a regular spot as I live 1.2 miles away!

Carson House - We were celebrating a graduation here yesterday and had a reservation for 8:30p.

For being a new place, as they had just opened on June 4, the place looked quite nice. Its a beautiful atmosphere, with a bar and lounge section that seems it would be great to relax in, and a small area for "normal" eaters, where our reservation was.

Now, onto the food: The food was quite interesting. Personally, I loved the unique flavors that came out onto our table --

For appetizers we had the mac & cheese appetizer which was sooo creamy, the chicken "lollipops" meatballs had this delicious blue cheese dip, tuna tartar lettuce "tacos" were quite flavorful for what they were, and even the beet salad had this great flavor.

For the meal, the shortrib flatbread had this sweetness to it that I couldnt resist (likely the caramelized onion + the shortrib made this awesome flavor). The meathead flatbread was also quite good, though no one in our party could taste the pork belly or prosciutto (i feel the pepperoni overpowered it maybe? it kinda felt like a generic all-meat pizza/flatbread to me).

Now, the other members in our party ordered: Winner Winner Chicken Dinner (the roasted corn on this dish was quite sweet, like candy even -- some liked this and some didn't), The Shoals seafood platter (which has a spicy kick to it, though not intense, and could use some labeling on the menu denoting "spicy" for those who can't tolerate spice. Yes, i know it has chorizo, but not everyone is a foodie and able to distinguish spice potential by a listing of ingredients alone), and the French Onion Burger (which seemed just normal to us).

Prices are ok, with appetizers ranging mostly in the $7-12 range and entrees being $12-24.

So then, WHY ONLY 2 STARS?!? Service NEEDS to improve.

Now, given, they have only been open 9 days as of our visit, and, as the manager stated later, they were going through some "growing pains" as their computer system was had gone down some other day on them or something, and they said that this was a very busy night for them....but this is why I can't give more than 2 stars.

While our reservation was filled fine (we had no wait for the table) and beverage service was spot on, we ordered appetizers which took 40 minutes to come out, and entrees took a little over 1 hour. The sad part is that 30 minutes after we had to check in on our food with the waiter. It would have been nice if the waiter had been keeping tabs on the table and updated us without prompt. Then 15 minutes after that, the manager comes over to ask how we're doing, we say we're still waiting on food to even come out, and he does his best to apologize and bring food out.

The appetizers and the flatbreads come out at the same time (again, around 40 mins after ordering) and the burger, seafood medley, and chicken come out 30 minutes after. At this point, the waiter and the manager are apologizing several times for the service, but they can only do so much on the time we had to wait. We also complained to the waiter that the seafood medley was too spicy, and the waiter basically said something along the lines of "some can tolerate it, others can't." Great service guy.

Its a shame they owned up to the slow service but didnt seem to try very hard to make up for it -- i've had slow service like this at other restaurants, and they at least toss in a drink or a dessert for your table to share at the end, to end your experience on a good note. This would help you forgive them more, but not here.

Oh, and the environment was VERY loud. A mix of the music playing there and the combination of guests talking, it was difficult for us to hear each other. Even the waiter had issues hearing our order :)

Parking is a bit difficult, but they have valet available for $5.50 just outside on carson.

TL; DR - While food is an interesting and flavorful blend (though if you can't tolerate spice, beware the Shoals, as it has spicy chorizo and its not noted as "spicy" on the menu"), and I would love to have the food itself again, I can wait on coming back until service improves, as it was a long wait for us. Also, the noise level could be turned down a notch, as even the waiter had issues hearing our order.

I attended the soft opening of the Carson House with a friend.  The decor had a mediterranean, country chic feel to it.  The hor d'oeuvres being passed were delicious!  The Chef did a wonderful job making the dishes a bit eclectic. The service was on point.   The bartenders and tray passers were attentive and hard working. It's a great establishment to serve the locals of beverly hills.  I'm really glad that I decided to attend this event.  I thought it was a very comfortable atmosphere with all the couches and the set up.  Lots of beers on tap.  Not your usual stuff, which I like.   They offer an array of beautiful drinks on their drink list as well. It should draw an upscale crowd.  I will definitely come back! Thank you Carson House for showing me such a wonderful time!

I recently (last week) went to the Carson House and holy molly, they have a great draft and bottle list of craft beer and epic food to pair. Great for a date or a group of friends. There was about five and we were just lounging in their cozy couch seating area, drinking good beer and enjoying great food. Oh! The music was also pretty groovy.

Carson House.  Carson "House", you may ask, why do they call it "House".  Well, cozy up to your computer or phone, and I will tell thee.  Upon entering, you will notice in this glass fronted establishment stylish and cozy sofas with low tables, regular dining tables, and the bar (brandishing within it a simi-circular metal plate armed with brew taps).  Now, instead of what you'd normally encounter within a "House" (a family, mildly-medium psychotic in my case) you will find friendly, welcoming and immensely helpful staff, chef and owners (your newly adoptive family, so to speak) at this particular "House".  You could possibly get used to this.

If you drink beer, you might want to try the Sculpin Ale on tap.  It is vastly differently from the bottle version. Like night and day.  And it is good.  Really good.  Better get ready to stick around, because you'll probably want another, or .... (insert tale of lost adventure here).

So let's get back to the "House".  It's the way your house would look, if you were more motivated, possibly richer, and were talented with design (obviously I'm lacking with regard to all three).  Elements of wood, steel, shades of metal, time aged wood, it's all here.  Just what you'd do with your own place to impress your date, if you were more motivated, (possibly) richer, and more talented with design.  Wait, I already said that.  Anyway, just consider this your "home" (away from home) and can you put off the home design (you'd have to clean up afterward at home anyway, and you'd want none of that).

But all of the above would mean nothing if the food did not rise to the occasion.  Fortunately it does, and then some.  Now, on Yelp (let's face it) no one dares sing the praises of Chicken.  Chicken is reserved for mousy, pragmatic diners, lurking in the shadows who are not Yelp-worthy enough to deliver poetic verses on steak, pork, fish (Arctic Char!) or any other conceivable non-Chicken form of flesh.  Well, I am here to tell you that the roasted Chicken at Carson House has no affinity with any merit-less chicken which might have tainted your opinion on this noble fowl.  It is all white meat, remarkably moist, flavorful, boneless and served with remarkably delicious fingerling potatoes and corn.  Chicken - vindicated.  Ta-ha.

So, after an evening with your new-found family at this well appointed "House", delicious craft beer (stick with Sculpin, but don't hesitate to let the bartender/servers ply you with samples of suspiciously odd beers from the other taps), ridiculously delicious food and remarkable hospitality, what more could you want?  Probably to go back there again.  Life is tough.

This is exactly what the community needs. Great, affordable food with all types of cool culinary changes to ordinary dishes.  Chicken Lollipops and Lobster Sliders are a must.

The bar is large and beautiful, with friendly and attentive bartenders and servers.  Try the Brighton!

The extra pizza bar is fun place to to relax with some short rib pies and over 20 craft brews! The back area seems to be user-friendly for private parties and gatherings, with booths and big screen TV's.

. Carson House will also be a great late night alternative to the annoying, line-filled bars such as Phoenix, Laurel Hardware, etc.  I work in the area, and can't wait for lunch to start up.  Once the early restaurant kinks are polished up, look for this place to be a local favorite.

We popped in for the soft opening of Carson House last night and were happily impressed! First off, the food - OMG. The salmon was perfectly cooked - had a lovely crust but still moist - served on farro and red kale with a tart compote that is making my mouth water in remembrance. I ordered the Shoals (clams, mussels, shrimp and Spanish chorizo in a yummy bouillabaisse), which was surprisingly spicy but so so tasty! Our friend had the baked mac and cheese with craw fish (sooo cheesy!) and a custom pizza with gluten-free dough, which was freaking perfect - crispy crust, melty cheese, and quality ingredients. Seriously, do not miss the pizza! They're a great deal and SO. DAMN. GOOD. For dessert, we had the tempura banana split. We should have ordered one each, cuz I hated sharing mine.

We didn't stay after dinner, but the bar area seems like a great place to hang out: it has a couple communal high tables, lots of comfy couches, a gorgeous bar, and a pizza oven with it's own bar where you can see the pizza guy working his magic. There's a back bar space with big booths and two huge screen TVs too. While I wasn't feeling the art in the dining area (yikes), this place would be great for a date or to hang out with friends. Also, the price point is awesome for what we were told is farm fresh food (thus the big farm door in the dining room, clever). Great food, pricing, and ambiance. We will be back!!

    Wow
This food is most amazing spin on the originals possible... Not to mention what I wouldn't even consider having, yet the most flavorful food ever! I honestly love all this food! The ambiance is fun. It was a tad loud but I enjoyed every second. Everything we ordered was fresh and the taste was just amazing!!!!! The cocktails were original, no kidding... The scotch drink we got from the bartender taste like apple cider and was positively delicious! I recommend this place for anyone for any occasion
