Found this place a few months ago. Â Pretty good Chinese food and the price is more reasonable than some of the other places around.
We always get the dumplings which are tasty and the sauce is much better than other dumpling sauces I have had. Â Also they give you free stuff if you spend over a certain amount, not uncommon for Chinese food. Â Overall we like this place for the location, price, and food.
For the price, the student discount, the speed, the location, and the quality it deserves 5 star. 1 minutes drive from IUSB if you're lazy, or about 4' walk. The food is standard, tasty Chinese that you would exect from a mainly take out place like this. The servers are always very nice. The place is quite small if you decide to dine in but again it's mainly for take-out. I have nothing to complain. Plus it opens late at night for a night-time working students with no car like me =).
Here's their info site - all info you want to find : <a href="/redir?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.foodaroo.com%2Fdisplay.php%3FID%3D1&s=f226075e2dd52559fe0894a27a7435c7071cb23ed422fb20c346ff18650f70d8" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://www.foodaroo.com/…</a>
We love this restaurant! Â It's in our neighborhood, so we're frequent customers. Â They have a large and diverse menu, and the food is consistently good. Â
The owners are kind and helpful, and the hours are perfect for being close to a college. Â They are also open lots of holidays (like Christmas) when finding another restaurant can be a challenge. Â
Very reasonably priced with large portions and high-quality food. Â The China House is a must-visit!
Great value and great portions . They have a huge menu and everything is reasonably priced. The owner and family is amazingly friendly and willing to go out of there way to make sure you have a great meal. Take out orders routinely take about 10 minutes no matter how busy they are. They are open early everyday and late , even later on the weekends!
Review Source:Definitely a step up from your standard mediocre Chinese-Americanized places usually found in Indiana. It is a real hole in the wall, but there is definitely a more authentic flavor to their dishes. We ordered Yang Chow fried rice and Singapore noodles - authentic flavor and not too oily. Also had steamed dumplings and fried chicken wings which were tasty. I would come here again to try more dishes. Open on Sunday nights which is a real plus for the area.
Review Source:Low cost, large portions, and very tasty. The restaurant itself is somewhat small (only 6 or 7 tables) so it sees a lot of take-out action. Best General Tso's Evar -- I've nearly given up trying the General Tso's at other places. Roger is right, it definitely isn't fancy fine dining, but is definitely the best take-out around.
Review Source:This small mom-and-pop restaurant has good food with generous portions -- but the real draw is the hospitality. A recent visit with a large group (and it's none too big!) was greeted with kindness, and the 'mom' was very accomodating to the older members of the party. It certainly isn't fancy, but it's a worthwhile stop.
