Great food. Â Great staff. Â You get plenty of food, and there is a good variety of food to chose from. Â Wait staff was very nice and efficient. Â
Not crazy about the way the place is set up and looks. Â It lacks ambiance. Â I wish it was a little cozier and warmer inside. Â Feels like an unfinished basement with a bar.
Finally got the chance to try Clarksville. Maybe this place just isn't for me. Perhaps I just had too high of expectations. We went in for wing night because we've heard such great things. The sauces were ok but the wings themselves weren't crispy and there was a 10 wing minimum which is frustrating because I would rather try more than one flavor and I can barely even eat 10 to begin with. I wish this place wasn't so dark and hidden. I do want to point out that the staff was very friendly. Like I said, just not for me.
Review Source:For what it is, it gets 3.5 stars...here's what it is: an above average neighborhood bar/restaurant. The fourth star is because they do have a large, varied menu which most of the time is quite good. But, it's not a place for date night. The bar serves Smithwicks, which can be hard to find, has Keno, open for lunch and has an outdoor area filled with so much kid stuff you'd think it was a daycare center.
Most of the bartenders, maybe all, are women who are very nice and friendly, for the most part. Two things I never see in this place, which bugs me since I worked in bars and nightclubs from when I was 16 - they never buy one back, and they never put any snacks on the bar. I can forgive the latter as that seems to be the norm. But, I grew up that the house buys you one every 2-3 depending on your personality.
The parking lot is a total, complete nightmare. They need to pave the lot and mark it as people just park all over the place...believe it or not, you put lones down and people actually respect them, duh.
