Being a lifetime Chicagoan I honestly to this day do not understand the big deal about Connie's Pizza it is mediocre pizza at best! Â There is way better tasting pizza such as Giordano's (Deep Dish), Home Run Inn or Uno. Â The location is nice and there is plenty of parking the inside is very touristy which might be why it's a big deal it's more of a tourist/out of towners attraction. Â If you've never been here before it wouldn't hurt to try once but I have no desire to go back especially with so many better options near by.
Review Source:Be careful here. Â Most positive reviews are actually responses to reviews that have been posted that are negative. Â When you read phrases like: "I don't care what anybody says, the pizza at Connie's is the best," or "I've been going to Connie's for years & never have never had [sic] had a problem . . . Sonya M." Â The lady doth protest too much, methinks. Â Who, but a member of the owner's family, would begin a "positive" review with "I've been going to Connie's for years & never have never had [sic] a problem."
Review Source:I love the pizza but the wait was a little much. We got a table right away but we had to wait for quite a while before the pizza was cooked and brought out. They suggested that next time we order ahead...interesting concept. Order ahead for food that you're planning to eat there. I do love the pizza but they clearly need more cooks or cooking space if they can't accommodate the demand.
That being said, I enjoyed the waiters who were wonderful, the food tasted great and it was a very nice atmosphere.
