I've always had a good experience at this place... Until today. I went for happy hour after a conference and waited 5 minutes near the door before I finally went up to the bar to ask if there was a hostess. The bartender said "yep she'll be back in a few minutes" and went back to what he was doing. A server finally came up and sat us. We waited about 10 more minutes before she came back and asked if we had been helped. Our drinks took about 20 minutes and she apologized saying it was a new drink menu and the bartender had to learn how to make our martinis. The drinks and appetizers were great but when it was time to pay, the server said she couldn't split our check. So, we had to manually add how much we owed and write down amounts on the back of the check to pay with 3 separate cards. This of course took more time and was quite a hassle. As always, the food and drinks were good but the (lack of) service was frustrating. Especially since it didn't seem all that busy.

Been here twice now - once for a quick drink following the Blue Man Group, and on 4th July. The drinks are delicious, and wonderfully cold - cosmo 1st time, fig martini (riddling fig) 2nd time - loved them both, but the fig was a really nice change from your usual sort of cocktails, and just what I was looking for.

Menu looks great, but both times have been here really late in the evening, and although tempted to try the happy hour menu (prices are really great) we've already eaten by the time we've been here. Will be coming back to test out the food and more unique cocktails!

Stopped in for a quick drink. The martinis were good and so was the service. What more could you ask for?!

Really delicious breakfast food - but a long wait for breakfast!

The servers are awesome (and even cute)  but the new happy hour cocktails are crap. So bad I decided I had to write a review. This is my go to place in Denver, and I was so disappointed to find out they now pre-batch some of their crafted cocktails. Pre-batch is the complete opposite of crafted.

Came here for a Corporate Event and it was tasty! Had the back room, completely private, with bouncers keeping away random people. Open bar and buffet style yummies. Great space. And fun atmosphere!

So this place has PRIME location!!!   Before a show downtown this is the place to go.

Full alcohol menu, trendy decor, tons of single guys and girls....this is the place...to hang out....if you are 21.

I came here before seeing Tosh.0 (I'm not that sophisticated) with a group of 9.  They were awesome with seating us right on time for our reservation (7:30) but we didn't get our food until 9!!!!

The food is meh.  The choices are pretty varied (chinese? burgers? indian?) but honestly, fine dining it is not...and I wouldn't come here if it wasn't for it's location.

Went here for a going away party and was incredibly disappointed. The drinks were over-hyped and over-priced. For a couple of drinks my partner and I spent $70, which is absurd. Would not go here again.

Corner Office is like... my "go-to" Happy Hour bar when it's late night (9pm-11/12pm)... especially since I live like 5 seconds away. But even if I lived 10 minutes away I would probably still walk over because these happy hour burgers are bomb! Seriously, $5 for a delicious perfectly cooked burger. Mmmmmm. Also, some of my other favorite items: $4 Sonoran Dog (bacon wrapped hot dog, baked beans, guac, salsa, crema, cotija), $4 Colorado Poutine (fries, pork green chile, wisconsin cheese curds). The shrimp ceviche, sliders and flautuas are pretty good too.

Did I mention they also have $3 Avery White Rascals on happy hour? & some amazing martinis, especially the Maker' Dozen. So good.

Anyways, as you can see I'm all over the happy hour tip which is 3pm-6pm & 9pm-11/12pm daily... and heads up it gets REALLY crowded near the end of these happy hours, also they won't split your check with other peeps, so just FYI. Someday I'll eat at the restaurant, maybe.

Sometimes you find places that has great food but not-so-great service. Other times, you find great service with so-so food.

This place has the best of both.

First, the food. They know how to get creative with their menu (we went for brunch). I love that. Plus, their presentation and superb, and the portions are generous. We had 6 people order 6 different things, and they were all delicious.

The service was fantastic. We actually experienced a slight mishap with the reservations for Mother's Day brunch. But instead of having them shrug their shoulders and forget about us, they reached out to us and were able to fix it for us...and then some. Their customer service from the managers, and the owner (Jerome) was exemplary. I can't say enough about how pleased and grateful I was for their great attitude and generosity. It's a HUGE difference-maker in where we choose to spend our $. And this place has earned some loyal customers with us!

One thing to be careful about - because this is downtown, parking can be tricky. They do offer valet parking, though. It was half-price ($8 instead of $16) since we ate there. That's better than the other prices around the area for sure, unless you're lucky enough to happen upon an open meter spot.  I don't know if that was because of Mother's Day, or if they do that all the time. In any case, buffer in a little time to get the parking taken care of.

People were happy, customers and staff alike. A great experience! You gotta try it out.

    Chicken and waffles are awesome.

Ambiance is nice.  Most of the waiters are friendly (one or two smug hipster types).

I like this place.  It's different.  The food is good and interesting.  I enjoyed it.

Location: Terrible, causes a parking nightmare since the hotel valet has all the street reserved! Be prepared to walk or pay $8 to valet (which I finally gave into).

Food: Delicious, I had the eggs benedict with pork belly. My eggs weren't poached to my liking exactly but overall it had great flavor. We had the french toast sticks for an appetizer before, nutella and avocado ice cream. Great combination!

Drink: Bottomless Mimosas for $10 at Disco Brunch, was okay. I'm used to $8 in Boulder.

Ambience: I was there for a staff meeting purposely during Disco Brunch, I appreciate that they encourage dressing up. Bonus points!

Never been there for anything else, when I do, I'll update!

Stopped in here for a drink before seeing a show. Happy Hour Specials are reasonably priced. I ordered a Gingerbread Ma'am Seasonal Martini. Totally Tini Delicious. The First Sip hit me with the alcohol and I was ready to do the Harlem Shake. I took a Drink of Jese S Vanilla Vodka with Coke i believe. And I ate her cherry. Couldn't taste the alcohol in it. That May or may not of been a good thing.

Love the Decor, and the helpful servers.
Will be back soon to try the Chicken and Waffles.

This was perfectly located directly across the street from the Performing Arts Center, and we didn't have to explain when we told them we only had about 45 minutes for dinner.  The decor was very cute -- Mad Men 60s office style.  I felt a little cramped in our table, but the service was fast and good.  The food, on the other hand, wasn't up to par.  My veggie burger was mooshy and undercooked, and my french fries tasted half frozen. The bf like his cuban sandwich but felt the same with the fries.  For the price, I would have expected better.  Also, the women's bathroom was just plain gross.  That being said, we filled ourselves up with enough time to get to the show, so beggers can't be choosers I guess.

I'd probably be more inclined to go back for happy hour or drinks instead in the future.

We're staying at The Curtis Double Tree by Hilton and this restaurant was located right below.  We got there after 10pm and discovered they were serving happy hour menu.  We ordered their Shrimp Ceviche and 2 ramen.  The Shrimp was so sour.  It tasted as if they marinated with tons of lime.  The Ramen tasted okay.  They served it with pork carnitas, two slices of pork with fat, a little spinach, an egg, bacon bites and fried pork skin.  It was simply ok.

The services were just ok.  Saw our waiter twice.  Perhaps, we should give their breakfast a try cause everyone rave about how good it is.

Reverse Happy Hour on Friday nights results in a very, very crowded Corner Office (in a good way).

Yes I have to elbow and fight my way to the bar.
Yes I have to stalk people until tables open up.
And yes I have to wait longer than usual for my drinks.

But I don't mind one bit. The specials make it all worth it. $5 Bartender Call Its can't be beat and are always delicious. I had a grapefruity martini with a sugar rim. Yes, $5. $3 beers and $4 wells round out the specials nicely.

Despite the chaos that surrounds them, the bartenders are always nice. They have people coming at them from all angles and they don't even break a sweat. I like it here, the specials, the crowds, the drinks. I am definitely making this a more regular stop in my weekend adventures.

Why do I like this place?
    (I've only been here twice)
Why was I drawn to this place?
    (Close to the Buelle)
Was it for the good food?
(The burger was so tasty and cooked to perfection)
Was it because it has a cool, cozy atmosphere?
(It is really cool...even a touch romantic)
Was it for the wine and beer selection?
(I had a very nice Tempranillo)
Hmm...I think I answered my own questions.

Had an amazing dinner last night. The service was great as well. The Sugar Mama Martini rocked so let go to the food!! It started with the supplì al telefono, 2 perfect fried balls of yumminess. I HATE olives and the tapenade was wonderful with the short rib cheese balls.

After that was the Beef carpaccio on a bed of polenta. I did wish there was a little less polenta but it was wonderfully flavored. This also came with a duck confit cracker thingy and it was steller! I've never had any form of duck confit and this was decident.

A bowl of mussles off the 52.80 menu (not the regular one) stole the night. They were cooked in coconut milk, thai chilies, and so much love, that the seared chiabata slices jumped into the sauce on their own and in my mounth. If we weren't in the restaurant I would have slurped up every bit of the coconut sauce. Did I mention that the mussels were perfectly cooked.

The Ramen, the egg, the salty pork and the green in this soup were so full of flavor.

Lastly, the cheese cake and cherries with the lemon sourbet, again awesome!! I was born and raised in Ny and have had my fair share of Ny cheese cake. This one blew them all out of the Atlantic. It was heaven! Chef Richie Byers rocked it again and again and again! By far some of the best food I have ever eaten and we can't wait to go back to Denver to get more awesome eats!!

Service has certainly gone up a notch.
We went in the fall again for an event. The back room was secluded from the rest of the restaurant and our server was excellent. He did a great job circulating and bringing in drinks to the guests. The desserts we ordered were excellent as well. Little cheesecakes with Italian old-fashioned real maraschino cherries, creme brulee, and cakes were all excellent. The drinks were a good pour too, strong, and well mixed. I think The Corner Office has really stepped it up a notch.

    Verdict: getting better with time!

This review is for Happy Hour only.

I went with my roommate (female) at ~5pm on a Monday night. HH goes until 6pm.

    THE VIBE
The Corner Office seems to be the sort of place young professionals hang out after their young professional work hours with their other young professional friends. It's definitely got this metropolitan look with some fun quirky accents to keep the place young. It's not your grandpa's martini bar.

    THE DRINKS
The martinis are great. So is the rum punch. They also have great craft beer on tap and what seems to be a decent wine list, though I have thus far stuck with the hard liquor.

    THE FOOD
The happy hour menu is very tapas-like with many small offerings from which to choose. I filled up on the pork belly slider, fries, and ceviche. The cuisine ranges from spanish to asian to coastal mexican to american pub burgers. There's definitely a taste for everyone. Most plates are $3-6, but you'll probably want at least two.

    THE SERVICE

We sat in the lounge area and felt very well taken care of. There's also a bar and some high tops. I think it's pretty well staffed between 3-6pm, but I'm guessing it can get packed if there's something going on at the convention center or opera house.

    RECOMMENDATIONS:
Ladykiller Martini ($5 on HH) - sweet and tart
Sweet Potato Fries ($3 on HH) - come with mustard sauce that's also good on the...
Pork Belly Slider ($3 on HH) - nice piece of pork belly with a brioche bun. Needs a bit more flavor, but the mustard delivers there.

Check out the ladies room, ladies. There's a disco ball and a post it wall. After a few martinis, I could be persuaded to hold a dance party there.

Discovered The Corner Office's late night Happy Hour and have turned from a frien-emy (see prior review) to a big HH fan. Was out late with my honey last night catchin' up on seeing the Oscar noms and we didn't have time for dinner between shows. We tried a couple of places downtown, but their kitchens were already closed. Then my little angel muffin suggested we try TCO, and dbl bingo! Even on Sunday night their kitchen was open late, and the food and the drinks were rockingly cheap and good. With a generous tip, we were outta there all alcohol-ed and carb-ed up for $30. Talk about a great find . . . Yahoooo!

I returned to the Office for a Saturday dinner service and must say the regular menu was much better than my previous happy hour outing. I highly recommend the fish tacos and the cuban sandwich is very good. The pork rilletes is a delightful find in Denver, but needs a richer pork flavor.

Jerome, the manager, really went out of his way to improve my return experience and it was greatly appreciated.

This review is based only on my experience at the bar and the food/drinks served there.

We were there for drinks while watching a football game.  I was hungry and ordered the following:
    - Chips & Salsa: Delicious, but the salsa is a bit on the spicier side.
    - House Made Quinoa + Garbanzo Veggie Burger: 5 stars for this burger....its super delicious.  I have never had such a delectable quinoa burger.  I would eat here just for this burger.

The bartender was very friendly and provided great service.  Loved this place.

Solid 4 stars while sitting at the bar.  Only here for drinks and to watch the game so can't tell you about the rest.  Started with a Guinness that was "off".  Mentioned it to the bartender and he pulled a couple to test, agreed that something was not right and pulled the pint from my tab no questions asked.  Staying at the Curtis, so this is easier than walking in the cold to find a bar and now I know it was a good choice.

Tried the spring rolls to give me something to go along with the beer I know I'll be consuming tonight.

Vote - 5 stars on the spring rolls!

Not sure what others that rated this as a 2-3 star establishment are bitching about but likely the  problems are they were in a hurry (read as didn't plan their time correctly before a show) and expecting hand over fist service when the place is likely packed (because of said show/event across the street).  I had a great time and outstanding service while sitting at the bar.

This restaurant is in a prime location right across the street from the DCPA. That is the only reason I can think of for its continued existence. I've been here maybe five times and the service has been ghastly each time, and all of the surprises have been unpleasant ones. (Before you call me a masochist, four of those times I have been dragged there by curious friends.)

There are a dozen better restaurants with a block or two of this place. Let's all vote with our dollars and see if the free market can come up with a better use of this prime location.

I was not impressed with the corner office. For one, their decor was tacky and bizarre.
Most importantly, the service was terrible. My boyfriend and I decided to go here because we had a ticket to a play and was told that we would receive a free drink with proof of a ticket. The bartender refused to take our ticket voucher. We decided to pay for our drinks and I sat down at a table by the bar. The waitress asked me what my order was and I informed her that we had ordered at the bar. She asked us to move to the bar because she wanted to make tips. I was a little surprised that service could actually be that bad

When we arrived I had high hopes for The Corner Office. Upon sitting down our waiter asked if we were seeing a show at the DCPA (and we were), so it seemed like he understood we were on a schedule.

I started with the bottomless mimosas with cranberry instead of OJ - they were great. I really wish I could have taken advantage of the deal a little more, but our waiter just wasn't on top of it. For an entree I ordered the crab cake benedict. When it arrived it LOOKED gorgeous, but it wasn't even lukewarm and the hollandaise had so much lemon my mouth puckered a bit. Strangely, the red potatoes that came with the dish were scalding hot. I should have sent it back but...gah...I just hate doing that.

Our waiter never came to see how the food was and was slow-going with all the drinks...and when we needed it, the check.

There were several things on the menu I'd like to try and the Corner Office has a great location and atmosphere. I'll definitely go back in the hopes of  throwing some more stars their way. I just hope the next time I check it out the service is better.

The decor is lovely and reminiscent of a posh NYC lounge, but it was too expensive for me to ever go again. We came for happy hour, couldn't find a table designated for said happy hour, and were forced to be seated with the full menu.

Our waiter was sweet and helpful, but the food wasn't anything to write home about, and my bloody mary would rank in my -bottom- three ever. That's a recipe for me to not return, sorry!

To eat before the show, or after?  Well let's see, coming down right after work, with a friend that has an infant at home, needed a break, but is tired all the time -- I think before. We chose the Corner Office because of it's proximity to the DCPA, but I have to admit that I was a little worried about dining at a nice sit-down place ... it had taken us longer than expected to make the trek from NoCo and we needed to pick-up our tickets during a specific window before the show.  My worry was completely unfounded -- these folks cater to the theater crowd really well.

Among other things, they offer a 3-course prix fixe theater menu that changes monthly, styled after the Denver Restaurant Week's 5280 program ($52.80 for two, or $26.50 for one).  I didn't partake since I was worried about time, but as it was our meals came out so swiftly I think the theater menu would have worked -- definitely something I would like to try in the future.

Our server was great ... he put up with my picky questions about the ramen (I appreciate modern takes on Asian classics, but for ramen at its core the noodles had better have the right toothsome quality and the broth had better be good enough to want to pick up the bowl and drink it), then steered me toward the shrimp & grits.  Now, I'm no expert in Southern comfort food, but I loved this dish.  The grits were more refined than I've encountered elsewhere, more like a soft polenta.  The tomato-based sauce was replete with diced vegetables that reminded me of mirepoix except that it hadn't been cooked down to a mushy oblivion.  Topping it all off, in addition to perfectly-cooked shrimp/prawns, were a handful of mussels and a luscious piece of pork belly.  Yum.

I think this place is destined to become my go-to spot for theater dining.

I've been here on three different occassions.  Once for lunch.  Once for happy hour.  Then once for a party my company threw.

Lunch was great as was happy hour.  They have great happy hour specials on both food and drinks.

For the company function they really did a great job.  There was a hiccup to begin....they didn't have the whole space set up that I reserved but after pulling out my trusty contract they realized their mistake and got on fixing it.  Everybody was very pleased with the event and I would definitely come here again for an event if budget wasn't an issues.

I ordered Chicken and waffles and the Bottomless Mimosas. The Chicken and waffles were ehhhhh, bottomless Mimosas were refreshing. Our server Noah did an excellent job making sure to get ours refilled as soon as they ran out. If you go in make sure you have Noah as your server!

Really this is a 2.5 star kind of place. I don't need a snooty employee to site Colorado law AT me regarding distance one can stand from the door while smoking. A simple, "the patio is nonsmoking," would suffice. Less than impressed.

The late night happy hour (9pm-close) after a show at the DCPA can't be beat! Yummy little snacks and inexpensive drinks hit the spot after a few hours of theatrical entertainment. The place isn't overcrowded which is always a good thing. I really dig the dark, intimate lighting as well.

The standard happy hour (3-6pm) is not as much fun. First, peeps who work till 5pm have little time to get any kind of HH special. Plus, the place is so crowded at this time you're lucky to even find a spot to stand. This makes getting to the bar to order before 6pm an ordeal I would much rather pass on.

There are a few nice selections of beer. Any place that has a classic PBR in a can isn't all bad in my book.

Can't say I've had any of the main course meals here but at least most of the male employees are cute. Calls em like I sees em.

Really didn't appreciate the pipsqueak server guy saying with such great confidence that "oh, there's no seasonal on tap" when we asked... because when passing the bar to the restroom I noticed there was a New Belgium seasonal, and I confirmed it was up and running.  If you're ignorant, just admit it.  Don't lie.

Veggie burger and sweet potato fries were fairly good.  Beer selection is slightly below average for Denver area.  Prices reasonable for what we ordered.  Great corner location.

In my line of work, I always miss happy hour.  I'm never off before 7:00pm so I'm forced to look longingly at all of those people having fun and enjoying half price cocktails.  Well not anymore.  Imagine my surprise when I walked into the Corner Office and the hostess announced that they were having happy hour...at 9:00pm on a Saturday!  Music to my ears, as I'd just left work.

Not only do they have happy hour, it's a pretty good one too.  This place offers a selection of their regular menu items at half price.  My burger was $5 and the best I can remember having for some time.  I love that they offer more options than your usual bar snacks.  My friends and I were able to eat a full dinner just off of the happy hour menu.  They have a pretty good variety of drinks as well.

My only complaint is that I ordered a Bombay Sapphire straight up and they put vermouth in it.  It seems so simple just to pour the alcohol in a glass but everyone seems to want to add vermouth.  They're not the only ones who do it.  It's crazy, but not a deal breaker.  I will be back in a heartbeat after work.

Thanks Corner Office for tending to my happy hour needs!

How fun does disco brunch sound?  And bottomless mimosas?  It's always 5:00 somewhere, hellloooo!

I was uber excited to try TCO, but maybe the experience would've been better had we just hopped in for late night drinks.  My chicken and waffles were pretty lackluster.  Dry is the first descriptor that comes to mind.  I had to ask the waitress to bring some syrup to drizzle over my dish.  Most of the chicken was dark meat, so I wished there were more of the white variety.

Overall, it was the weakest meal of the trip, so if you give this joint a try (I inadvertently typed dry at first.  See?  Dry is on the mind!), including alchy might liven things up!

A truly fabulous happy hour that I would love to attend again.  Drinks are at great prices at $5, and the food around $5 as well.  The sweet potato fries are super delicious and I wish I had ordered two servings instead of one, but my palate wanted to savor the flavors of other dishes.  The Corner Office burger that was ordered came with a thick patty cooked to specification, however mine was a little flavorless but another party member's burger was flavorful.

Our server that night from 9pm-12am was on her A game because my soda glass was refilled promptly without ever having to ask for refills and the frequency of attentiveness was spot on just right.  The Corner office is a really nice place to take out of town folks.  The restaurant is something I'll have to try at another time.

The Corner Office is prime location for any night you're headed to the DCPA.  In fact, it's usually where I end up eating before I head over to a DCPA event.

This last time I had the shrimp and grits.  The shrimp were huge and tasty while the grits creamy and delicious.  I also had a great divide beer, which is always awesome when they carry local stuff.  All the food I've had here has always been good, but a little over priced.  I have to remind myself I'm paying a premium for the location.

Overall the food is above average and you can't beat the location if you're headed to the DCPA.
