The bar is really relaxed and busy on weeknights. They have a big patio outback with corn hole and inside they a jukebox. The staff is friendly and their deep fried pickles are awesome!

Seriously good, some of the best wings I've had

$15 for 10 wings is just too much!!  This paired with $8 kids tenders and fries and $3 per soda was just ridiculous.  Our server was very unprofessional and unattentive. We will not return to Crosstown.

Great bar, great service. You get your wings any way you want - rubbed, sauced, breaded, etc.

If you're looking for wings - this is the place. Spicy Garlic is the best!

    Great bar!  Great service!
Crosstown Pub has the best wings in the burbs.  My favorite is the mesquite bbq.  The prices are good for food and drinks.  Even the salads are awesome!
There are plenty of flat screens all around and they have no problem switching to whatever game you want to see.
I have been there more than a dozen times and the service has always been friendly.
    Big fan!

After seeing this spot on the Travel Channel and for the pure convenience factor of it only being a few minutes away in the 'burbs, my husband and I had to visit. It truly did not disappoint on the promise of delectable wings.

    Downing some drinks:
Heck yea - $5 for 24 oz. of decent domestic pints (ie. not just MGD but brands with some flavor like Sierra Nevada and Sam Adams).

    Feasting on fabulous food:
Overall, the wings lived up to the hype with the crunchy breading, fall-off-the-bone tenderness and juiciness, along with just plain meatiness of them.

OMG. Get the PB&J wings - It was familiar yet unique. The peanut sauce reminded me of a Thai dish, but dipping it in the sweet "jelly" sauce was an unexpected sweet, fruity compliment to the savory sauce.

Other favs of the dishes we ordered -
Fresh guac with a kick and somewhat sweet salsa in our starter - Watch out for the spice with the guac; it truly is made-to-order with the chunks of onion and tomato in the bright avo. In addition, the tangy tomato and sweet corn chunks strike a balance in the accompanying salsa.

Also, with one of our dry rubs - there was a TON of shaved parm in the Parmesan garlic dry rub that made it extra flavorful without sauce. However, I absolutely adored the sweet chili garlic sauce. Although it had a kick, it was - again - well balanced with the sweetness.

Lastly, I loved the fact that they offered a Greek yogurt ranch dressing. It is admirable when restaurants offer healthy options that actually taste better than the original. It was light and zippy as well as less cholesterol and fat than the usual.

    Patronizing a packed house:
For a sports bar in Chicagoland, I normally don't expect much, but this place was poppin' on a Sunday night. It was ultra busy on our visit, which definitely made for a fun atmosphere. Its decor and set-up is pretty typical with the Chicago sports memorabilia and plethora of TVs, but the numerous accolades from critics, including reminders of its fame to claim on Travel Channel, that adorned the walls set it a part.

    Satisfied with spectacular service:
Our server was attentive and friendly, with knowledgeable and helpful suggestions. For instance, she informed us that it would be smart to get the sauces on the side for dipping while picking different dry rubs for the wings. Also, even though wings come in 10, she said that they could be broken down in groups of five based on flavor. The restaurant also seemed very organized because all the servers were equipped with iPads instead of the traditional notepads and all of our food came out promptly.

The only issue was some sort of miscommunication between management and servers because our server accepted a Yelp deal earlier in the meal, but later at night another employee came by our table and tried to rescind it saying she did not carefully check the expiration date/limitations on the offer. This was kind of an awkward exchange, ending with our server apologizing profusely for the mix-up.

Love this place!  The food is awesome and never let's you down!  The service is pretty good and they even have trivia on (I think) Tuesday Nights!!!  If you eat there, plan on being extremely full or taking a to-go box!

I love Crosstown, I really do. But I just can't justify 5 stars anymore. I love the karaoke (Fridays in the winter & Wednesdays in the summer), and the live music. I love the food. I love the owners. But most of the waitresses are just horribly inattentive (with a few exceptions). I've learned to just go up to the bar myself if I need a drink. And it's really annoying to get there for an advertised event, and have to wait until after some sports game is over for the event to start an hour or more late.

What happened? While Crosstown was never the place to go for good service, they were the go to place for wings but something's changed. I've tried them twice recently with the same result.  They used to be bigger, crunchy and had incredible flavor. The size is now much smaller, the skin is rubbery and undercooked, the breaded wings have little breading and the dry cayenne has no flavor. There is now a layer of uncooked fat under the skin and the wings are dry.  No need to try a third time. Too bad....

Huddle Up; I got a fantastic review here!  ;)  Come on, gotta have at least one sports pun for a sports bar review, right?!?

Crosstown Pub & Grill is a great local bar!  Tons of TVs, beers, and good food!  And I'm not gonna lie, I was surprised to see this place packed for a Tuesday night.  But then I quickly  found out they have a ridiculous amount of events throughout the week like trivia, karaoke, game nights etc.

Anyway, I should have paid more attention to other yelp reviews and got some wings... this month's flavor was "pumpkin spiced rum" which would have been interesting... but I ended up getting a guac and bacon burger.  Let me tell ya, not bad!  I'd suggest to forgo the blue cheese, a tad overwhelming for my taste, but hey, its up to you.  My friends also said their entrees were satisfying, and we all agreed that their coleslaw was so so.  As for drinks, I was digging their selection of craft beers. I sampled three and I can't wait to try more.

Overall, you can't beat the atmosphere, price, and service!  Cya soon Crosstown!

I go here almost every Thursday with my BF and I'm in love with the Pizza wings. You must get the wings naked even though they are good breaded there is something about the naked wings that make them so good. Maybe it's the fact I feel less disgusting with myself afterwards? Their Buffalo sauce rocks, the staff is always nice to us, and the drinks are a reasonable price. If it wasn't so crowded I'd come here with more people but it's always so loud I can barely talk to whoever I'm with. The noise level is really the only downside for me. I can handle waiting 30min to and hour on Thursdays for my wings, it's so worth it.

Best wings around. They are huge and have tons of different flavor combos. You can do wet and dry rubs which means every time you go you could try a different combination. These wings are delicious.  Service is great, ice cold beer and everything comes quickly. Wings take a but to prepare so be patient. If you haven't been here before you MUST go here!

Great quality of food, very fresh and it looks beautiful.  I've been twice now, had their chicken wings both times and the "Salma Hayek" burger this second time.  The wings are meaty and very flavor able sauce.  The burger was seasoned great, fresh toppings, and it came with fresh baked chips....overall just a great dinner.  My only complaint is the place should be bigger.  If you go on a game night or fight night they are packed and you will want to show up early.

Pretty delicious food and cheap drink specials with a great atmosphere and rockin' staff. They had a check in deal, my first encounter with one, so I didn't know what to do. I asked our waitress who didn't know as well. She ran around asking for a good 15 minutes with multiple stops back to check in with me. I repeatedly told her it wasn't worth the work, that I didn't even want a free appetizer, just wanted to learn the check in perks routine, but she kept going. What a lady. So nice. Ultimately, we learned the check in procedure when she found out from the manager (who I think she called!) and we will definitely go back.

A pretty wild menu naming attempt gets an extra star for this place. Aside from that it is a pretty average bar. I didn't care for bar part tucked in the back with cramped seating in the front. The kitchen is too close to the bar and very distracting and I think half of the television screens are definately placed in the wrong spots. The food is what makes this place a bit better than the average bar and I saw plenty of large bagged take outs coming from thisnplace indicating it is pretty popular even with people who don't stay. That says something.

I wish this was closer to me since I do love my wings. The dry rub recommendations did not fail me! I'm not a fan of saucy wings so this option made the whole drive worth it. They remained crispy even though they sat on the table for a bit while we watched the Bears clobber the other team. Obviously LOVE the parmesan garlic. It was drenched in parmesan and even has real parmesan shavings in it. I also tried the mesquite bbq but it reminded me of chips so I wasn't a huge fan. The waitress was fast to get to us and the food came out fast too. High plus. Tons of TVs that played multiple games. That was nice.

THANK YOU TO THE PERSON THAT RECOMMENDED THE GARLIC RANCH DRESSING. I would tag it useful 100 times if yelp let me.

This bar rocks. As far as bar food goes, you cannot get better than this place! Sooo many options for everything. If you love wings, this is the place...grilled, breaded, naked, rubbed, sauced, you name it they have it! They have a fairly decent beer selection for a sports bar (although one time the Beer of the Month was Shock Top...really?), and they serve cans in addition to bottles, which I love. I think this place was featured on Food Network too. It's off the beaten path, and I think it would make 5x more money if it was in downtown Naperville, but it's already always busy. Best bar food in Naperville!!

I ordered something one time called The Kardashian...it was a foot long battered/fried hot dog, on a bun, with chili and cheese. It came with waffle fries. Was it delicious? Yes. Did I feel like Jabba the Hut afterwards? Absolutely.

Stop by a few times could not get in. Loud, messy we waited 30 minutes for 10 wings and 1 hotdog which suppose to come with chips and cole slaw, they were out of and chips came another 5 minutes later. Menu looks good but between the noise, sticky tables, long wait for food chances are we will not be back. There are 20 places around that area that also have wings.  Wings were good not worth waiting 30 minutes for.

I wish I could say that my first experience here was great, but it was one of the worst places I've ever been too.
The music was WAY TOO LOUD for the few families that were trying to have a nice evening out.
The service was, well, where was it? The girls seemed disinterested in serving you.
The wings were not good, totally over cooked. The french fries were absolutely petrified and the cuban sandwhich was totally tasteless! I mean how do you go wrong with these simple bar staples? UGH!

......Not impressed and not going back.

Came here on a Saturday night to watch a football game and i had a great time. The place is packed with football fans by the time we got there. The have both indoor and outdoor seating and the good thing is you pick your table. The Beer menu was Okay, the food menu is huge with good bar food options like burgers, wings, dips, hot dogs and fried food. The burgers and wings were good but the fried pickles were a little salty.

Pros - Burgers, Wings, Huge Menu, Number of TVs, Everyday specials.
Cons - Fried pickles, Beer selection.

Meh.  Don't buy the hype. Average wings at best and horrible, terrible lackluster service. I used to love the wings. Now I don't.

I mean I have been here many times over the past 12 months, and like a dating relationship that is slowly dying, this love affair has lost its luster. The people working there seem disinterested in their customers and more interested in texting or counting tips or whatever. The food is becoming marginal and I've had far better wings at tons of places. The beer specials are good and most of the clientele are cool, but that's not enough reason for me to give them my money and time.

I'll probably give them another shot or two, but I am definitely fading the Crosstown Pub.

Came here on Wednesday and as my gf has said their specials include $4 24 oz. domestic draft, $5 24 oz premium draft, and 1/2 off pizzas and calzones.

It's your typical bar setting, but with massive amount of space. I can see service being a bit slow when busy and also because people can just walk in a sit wherever.

We came to try the wings and I must say they are quite good. My friend said to go with their dry rubs and that's all he gets, but we went with the wet only and wet/dry on the second order. Medium rub of habanero is quite spicy even with my tolerance.

Will definitely be back to try more wings and give more of a thorough review. For now, I am a fan.

Came here on a Wednesday night. Their Wednesday specials include $4 24 oz. domestic draft, $5 24 oz premium draft, and 1/2 off pizzas and calzones. We came here mainly to try the wings so let's start with the review.

When you first walk in, it's a typical bar setting. You seat yourself anywhere you like, they have seating inside and outside (obviously during the summer). It does take awhile before a waitress comes to give you menus... I think we waited close to ten mins. before someone came to our table to give us the menus. The service overall is a bit slow, but it wasn't as bad as other places I've been to before.

Even from looking at the menu and following their handy flow chart for ordering wings, we were still confused since there are so many endless combinations. Make sure that you try the garlic ranch as your dipping sauce---- YUMMY!!!

First order: 10 wings: All breaded, no rub, 5 chipotle mango and 5 sweet habanero. The wings weren't as spicy as we had hoped so we went ahead and ordered another 10 wings. This time we tried all breaded, medium habanero rub, 5 sweet chili garlic and 5 chipotle mango. I guess this time around, our prayers were answered. The wings were so damn spicy! I can usually handle spicy, but not as much as my boyfriend... and his eyes were watering. I eventually got full from drinking water since my mouth was on fire. I loved it! This is one of the first places that I've been to where I have had a hard time with the heat factor from wings. For comparison, the mango habanero from buffalo wild wings and the xxx habanero from hooters does not compare to the heat.

Tip: If you're wanting more flavor in the wings, make sure you order a dry rub. The dressings also come with 3 sticks of celery.

Can't wait to come here and dry the other flavors. The wings are pretty big in size. I was actually content with eating 5 wings, but we ordered more to try the other flavors. We ended up having to take some home, which was not a big deal at all.

Ughh! It pains me to do this but this place has gone down hill.  First off the service is horrible, It was never anything spectacular, but it has just steadily declined. Next the wings...... This place at one point had the best wings around....Now, well they changed wings, they are no longer big and meaty, there the standard wings you find every else. Popular Sauces are constantly out, and they have added new sauces, like PB&J?..... Come on, stick to what was good. This place has become just another blip on the radar of Ogden ave.

The service isn't the quickest but the staff is friendly.

Wings are good, but I suggest the wet wings if you're more familiar with eating wings fro other places.  The dry wings with the spice powder on them killed some of the enjoyment of eating the wings.  I've had both styles, the wet is the way to go.

Local, friendly, cold beer, lots of flat screen TVs and very good wings.  Go there.

I ordered the duck sausage.  It was very good.  They did not have the sauce that was suppose to go over it, so I don't know how it was suppose to taste.  I got the garlic-Parmesan sauce instead.  The home cooked potato chips were great.  The coleslaw was a little bland.  I thought the food was worth returning for.

My friend had the steak taco salad.  I have never known him to say food was anything worse than "all right".  Today, he said it was horrible.  There were two tacos and he only ate one.  So, I tried it. The meat had no taste and had a texture like gum.  The taco tasted like it was fried in oil that had been used for cooking a lot of seafood.  My friend hates seafood.  Plus, you don't want a fried seafood flavor/smell with a steak taco.

The bartender was incredibly hospitable and the service was excellent.

In conclusion, I'll go back.  My friend will not.  Also, a lot of the customers had the wings which is what they claim they are known for.

Dive Bar, ginormous wings, and an excellent sports environment. I love this place. My only issue, is that I only found out about it maybe 3 years ago.

An arsenal of HD TVs makes this joint the perfect spot to watch a Bulls or Hawks game. Plus the crowd is mostly dressed in their freshest local sporting apparel and everyone gets really loud. If you need a break, or want to watch the games in a more low key environment, then have no fear. You can go out onto the patio and watch the games and grub down.

The food's top notch. Great pizza, they cook it till it's nice and golden and the crust is not too crispy but not soft. The rattlesnake bites are damn good too, but they may take away from your wing experience. The drunken pig quesedillas are pretty solid too, but kinda sweet.

For the wings, I like to go breaded or naked and always dry rubbed with the sauces on the side. That way I can pick and choose what each bites gonna be like. NOTE, when ordering dry DO NOT go over medium. They basically destroy the wing with cayenne pepper. I don't know whats going on, but the wings physically sit in  a mound of dry rub. Mild, Medium, Cajun, or Roasted Garlic is the way to go.

For the sauce: I've tried most of em. Here my faves
+Lava- Different then your average BBQ sauce, I've actually been disliking this recently
+Bourbon- Little sweet with a lighter consistency, pretty solid
+Chipolte BBQ- Nice heat, texture, and flavor
    +Honey Teriyaki- Sweet and bold
+Spicy Garlic- THE BEST THE BEST THE BEST THE BEST
    +Garlic Ranch- OHHHHH YEAHHHHH!!!!!

Play around with the wings. That's what I like about Crosstowns. You can change your experience every visit. With the Bulls and Hawks playing often, you can visit more than your regular sports bar.

Hands down, flat out, the best wings place I've ever been too!  I like that they have dry rubs and wet sauces because too many places just have wet sauces.  They normally have several hot waitresses there that are fast and friendly.

The place is pretty loud so if you are looking for an intimate setting....look elsewhere.  But if ur looking to watch and game and rowdy...this is the place for you!

Be warned though, parking is tiny and they tow/boot if you park in any of the private spots.  Learned the hard way!

Like another reviewer noted before me, I've tried to like this place. Really, I have! Maybe it's because I don't love wings in the first place. I've tried their pizza, it's decent and I would return for it. My boyfriend likes their wings too.

Yet, whenever we go and order a craft brew they claim to have on their menu, they're always out. That ticks me off after having this happen twice. Also, they have a yelp deal posted that they don't honor anymore. Take it off if you won't honor it. What happened to the days that a coupon was still honored if a customer found it at their mistake? Customer service seems to be non-existent today.

Go for the wings, not the service or beer selection!

Great dry rub chicken wings - my favorite is the Chili Lime. We also tried the Garlic Parmesan, Cajun, and Medium dry rubs. My boyfriend absolutely enjoyed the Cajun spiced wings. We did add an order of Sweet Chili saucy wings to try, and these were also excellent. You get a choice of naked, grilled, or breaded - I would definitely recommend naked especially if you are ordering the dry rubs. The grilled wings were way too dry and not appetizing at all.

Also, can't forget to recommend the Guac and Salsa appetizer - all three dips were amazing!

Service from the kitchen was ridiculously slow, although our waitress remained really attentive to us. Sort of knew that coming in so we didn't let the long wait spoil our excellent meal.

Went here for date night with Fred after wanting to try this place for a couple of months...and it DEF lived up to the hype! =]

It is much smaller than I expected, but it made for a cozy and more relaxed environment, which I liked.  We each got a 24 oz. beer (Blue Moon for me and Newcastle for Fred) and food for like 7 people!!  HA!  But that's how we roll...mmmmkkkk?!?!

We tried the Devil's Toothpicks and the Fried Paradise with pickles and mushrooms.  The Toothpicks was the winner of the two....it was chorizo, bacon, cheddar and jalapenos stuffed inside a flour tortilla and deep fried like a chimichanga and served with ranch...I mean...honestly...can it GET any better?!?!?!  It was SOOO good!!

We also ordered an array of wings to see if they were as good as we had heard.  We tried two dry rubbed (chili lime and Cajun) and two wet (parm garlic and spicy garlic).  The standouts for us were the Cajun dry and the parm garlic wet.  They were HUGE HUGE HUGE and perfectly cooked and seasoned!!  I could not ask for more in a wing!  They are just perfection on a bone!  HA!  I honestly can't wait to get back and try more flavors, I mean they have like 786876!! =]  But definitely put this on your New Year's list as a must try!!

I don't know, this place just doesn't do it for me any more.

The wings are awesome, but they don't make up for lack of ambience and service. Back when this place was George's, I swear i would go like 2x a week. Granted, I was 26 and in love with beer. I'm still in love with beer, so I guess that's moot.

I just feel like the past few times i've been here, it's hard to flag down a server. It's always crowded, and they got rid of all the fun games (darts and Big Buck). Karaoke and band nights assault my earholes. Bleah.

But for realies, the wings are awesome. The medium wings are my faves, followed by teriyaki. But not honey teriyaki (barfs!)

What could be better than Crosstown wings?  Thursday 1/2 Price Crosstown wings!  A lot of people agree, so expect to wait for a table.  These big meaty chicken wings are perfectly cooked and nicely flavored.  You have the choice of dry rub, wet tossed or both!  But I don't have to tell you that because you can read it right from the menu.  My ranking of the flavored I tried: Chipotle Mango, Cajun dry rub, parmesan garlic, pizza, and spicy garlic.  They were good, but none of them really stood out to me.  They were out of PB&J, so I might have to come back and try those.  These wings also make good leftovers if you can't finish them all.

For those that are daring enough, you should try the Devil's Sweat (ghost pepper) sauce.  If a dap doesn't make you cry, it will sure make you sweat.  Go on, I double dog dare you.

Update: The PBJ was pretty awesome!  Not overwhelming peanut flavor on the wings and sweet dipping sauce on the side.  I also tried a combination of Lemon Pepper with Spicy Garlic - Woo, was it potent!  Good, but a bit on the spicy side.

Update 1/30/12: They raised their prices to $11 / 10 wings and an extra $2 for most of the sauces.  There's also a $1.50 charge for celery.

This place really has some amazing wings!  Once you take in all the options you have it'll be a difficult decision to decide.  Sooo many wings sooo little stomach!

Wet wings, Dry rub wings, both? Yep it's really use your imagination here kids...

Beer selection is pretty wide, they have Southern Teir and the standard draft assortment.  A Tall Blue Moon is $7 and was fresh so overall about on par.

If you want cheaper wings, get here on Thursday as they're half priced but be willing to wait a little bit unless you get there after 10PM... The place fills up fast, people stay to drink a few beers and the staff is never pushy to clear the tables which I personally like.

I'm really trying to get into Crosstown Pub and Grill. A few cool cats I know are regulars there, it's about a nanosecond from my crib, the outdoor part of this place rules, it's locally owned and operated. BUT. BUT. BUT. I'm just having the hardest time. Something is wrong with the layout, it feels like there's so much wasted space. It fills up so fast and it never seems like there are THAT many people in there. I feel the same way about the parking lot.

The staff is nice enough, although it feels a little "revolving door"-ish for me.

I have tried a few things there and the only thing that stands out for me are the wings. YUM! There's a sweet garlic chili sauce they use, OH MY YUM!

The crowd typically seems like a 50/50 split of bikers and bro's sporting this week's Ed Hardy sparkle shirt. Everyone is VERY cliquey. I like bars to be a bit more welcoming and friendly.

And the bathrooms are NOT Amazon-Woman friendly.

Meh, I want to like it. I'll give it another shot or 2.

I was very unimpressed with the lack of service at this place. Usually, it's pretty bad when you have a server that doesn't come around to wait on you. But it's WORSE when you have to go flag them down and they're not there.

I was considering trying their hyped up wings but couldn't even find someone to help take my order. By the time I found someone half an hour later, I wasn't hungry.

The live music was a nice touch but it also was super noisy to the effect you can't hear anything. The ambiance is above average as you get a very "homely" or "group" feel to it. It'd be a great place to watch a game with friends (outside of the fact that it's probably difficult to get service).

Had to venture to Naperville to go to a dog grooming business to pick up some natural odor eliminator because our dog got skunked this week. More on that later.

A little history about this place. Just like JT's Porch in Lombard, Crosstown was formerly Half Time Sports Bar and Grill. Then it became George's Place. I tell you this because it has to do with the wings. Somehow the recipe for the basic dry wings has stayed with each business. That is a good thing because the wings are fantastic. We got are wings in a quick amount of time.

We sat at the bar and our bartender Katie was fantastic. She explained all of the specials they had going on Saturday. Some of which were $6 burgers, $3 Heineken, Heineken Light, Amstel Light, Newcastle and Newcastle Werewolf bottles. I am not a beer drinker but I tried a sample of the Newcastle Werewolf and it was very good.

As far as the sports bar goes they have at least 15 TVs showing all the games. They have NFL Ticket and Katie told us that fans from lots of different NFL teams come there to watch their team.

They have one of the best outdoor patios I have seen. 4 HD TVs, about 6 or 7 tables and two bags stations. The whole area is covered in a pergola so it gives a good amount of shade. When the weather gets colder they cover the patio to keep the rain and snow out. Not sure if they put heaters out there or not.

Parking is a bit limited but not a reason to not go here. Enjoy!
